- Abigail is a name originating in the Old Testament of the Bible, where it is the name of the third wife of King David. It is thought to mean "my father's joy."
- Magdalene is a a female given name taken from Mary Magdalene, a woman appearing in the Gospels. She is considered a saint in the Catholic and Lutheran denominations, among others. She is a patron saint of women and people ridiculed for their piety.
- Dovely is likely a reference to the dove, which in Christian tradition is a symbol of peace and the Holy Spirit.
