Aia Amare (アイア アマレ) is a female English Virtual YouTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI EN's sixth wave "ILUNA", alongside Maria Marionette, Kyo Kaneko, Aster Arcadia, Scarle Yonaguni, and Ren Zotto.

ILUNA Institute of the Mystics 2nd Year.
An angelic maiden who descended from Heaven to observe mankind.
Her gentle appearance hides a rather mischievous disposition.[3]

Personality[]

Despite initially presenting herself as a mischievous bully, Aia is a silly and somewhat strange person who is notable for her frequent bouts of dorkiness that she vehemently denies, which often leads to her being on the receiving end of playful bullying instead. However, she does still have a mischievous side, and she enjoys teasing and bantering with her fellow livers and chat.

She has long white hair with a single thick braid and light blue eyes with glasses. She has a white hairclip that looks like a sharp spider web.

History[]

Background[]

On 4 March 2022, ANYCOLOR launched their 4th audition for NIJISANJI EN open to both male and female talents lasting until 31 March.[4]

On 20 July 2022, the NIJISANJI EN twitter account announced the upcoming debut of it's sixth wave "ILUNA", accompanied by a teaser of the Livers' designs and voices as well as an announcement for a debut song "Let's Get It Started" produced by MATZ, who also produced the debut song for Noctyx, "Stuck in the Abyss".[5]

Aia's YouTube channel was created on 6 July 2022, and her Twitter account was created on the same month. Her first tweet and her first YouTube upload were posted on 20 July 2022. Within the first 24 hours after being announced, Aia reached 100,000 followers on her Twitter account.[6]

Aia debuted on 25 July 2022, she also reached 100,000 subscribers on YouTube during the stream.

2022[]

On 29 July, Aia enabled the Super Chat feature on her YouTube channel.[7]

On 2 August, Aia reached 200,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.[8]

On 3 August, she collaborated with Ike Eveland of NIJISANJI EN's Luxiem on game Portal 2, which was her first collaboration stream with a VTuber outside ILUNA.[9]

On 21 August, Aia opened memberships on her YouTube channel.[10]

2023[]

On 26 May, Aia released her first solo cover song "Lucifer" by Shimon¿?.

On 22 June, she reached 300,000 subscribers during an endurance stream.[11]

On 1 October, Aia released the 3.0 update for her model, adding some new expressions and improving movements.[12]

On 11 November, she debuted her second outfit and released her new lore.[13]

2024[]

On 27 May, Aia debuted her 3D chibi model during her birthday stream.[14]

On 15 June, Aia debuted her third outfit and released her new lore.[15]

2025[]

On 5 January, Aia announced that she would reveal her 3D model on 11 January, 8 AM JST.[16]

  • She insists that she is not a dork, despite her love of Dungeons & Dragons and general demeanor. This has led to chat labeling her as "Aiadorkable" and a "Tsundork", not to mention jokingly suggesting that her official emojis should be 🚪 and 🔑 for "dorky".
    • She once used a d20 dice to roll for her "Dorkiness"; the result was 18.[25]
    • Her mascot, which represents the Aiadmirers, is based on the long-tailed tit; the bird's Swedish name translates to "buttdork".[26] She first learned of the "buttdork" from Ike Eveland.
  • As a child, she once tried to sneak barbecue sauce packets home, but they ruptured in her pockets on the playground and soiled her clothes. As a result, she has an extreme dislike of barbecue sauce.
  • She occasionally eats oranges while showering.
  • She has a lower-pitched alternate voice dubbed "Miss Amare", which was later revealed to be an alternate personality. Unlike Aia, Miss Amare does not wear glasses.
  • She was gifted an arm asset for her drawing streams. At one point, she had to step away from the stream but forgot to remove the arm asset, giving birth to the "Hand-kun" joke. Like Miss Amare, Hand-kun was revealed to be another alternate personality, speaking with a raspy voice.
