Akami Chiyo (血夜あかみ) is a female trilingual independent Virtual YouTuber and Streamer. She debuted in late 2021 as part of Aquarium, Amai Direct's 2nd generation, alongside Eri Konoha and Asari Houseki.

Her Twitter account was created on September 2021. On 8 October, Akami posted her first tweet with a video of her smiling to her fans.[3] On that same day, she opened her YouTube channel.
On 14 November, 2021, Akami made her debut stream on YouTube, which started off with her introduction lore video followed by a karaoke session, and then her profile presentation.[1]
2022[]
On 4 January, she posted on Twitter that she had achieved to become a Twitch affiliate.[4]
On 5 May, she held a karaoke stream to celebrate reaching 5,000 subscribers on YouTube.[5]
On 11 July, Akami debuted her second 2D outfit. With this new costume, Akami's hair is now arranged in two short twintails, and her clothes consist of a short, white T-shirt with fishnets, a black skirt with bright red folds, long white socks and sneakers. Her shirt has both her name and a fishbone symbol printed on it with in red. In the same day, Akami premiered her cover of "Lost One's Weeping."[6]
2023[]
On 11 August, Amai Direct announced that they would be closing down, with all of their talents continuing on as independent VTubers.[7]

- Chiyo means "blood, gore, consanguinity" (血) (chi) and "night, evening" (夜) (yo).

- She's a big fan of Hatsune Miku.
- She likes teaching and playing the ukulele.
- She likes spaghetti with meatballs and stuffed toys. Among her favorite game genres are fighting games and shooters.
- She doesn't like ill-mannered people nor being called a shark.
Lore[]
- Akami is a piranha who was abandoned by her shoal for having a damaged tail fin, and thus, learned lived alone since she was little. The streets became her home, while living from her favorite activity: singing. And thanks to the support of the marine inhabitants, she was able to obtain a microphone and instruments to improve herself.
- During one of her street concerts, she found a human drowning on the shore whom she rescued. The human, called Ami, told her that she was a manager of a VTuber agency, and Akami, fascinated by the idea, asked to join the agency.
- Since her entry on Amai, she became close friends with Asari Houseki and Eri Konoha, who helped her value her little fin, which is why she decorated it with two piercings.
