Akane Homura was a Japanese-langauge Virtual YouTuber. She was affiliated with Skilltown alongside Shiroi Tier.

History[]

Background[]

Akane Homura's YouTube channel was created on 9 October 2020. She originated as a VTuber working for online service Skilltown, following the debut of Shiroi Tier in September. On 11 October, she was officially announced.[1]

On 16 October 2020, she posted her introduction video. This was followed on 18 October by her debut livestream.

2021[]

On 27 February, she reached 1,000 YouTube subscribers.[1]

Retirement[]

On 29 December, Akane Homura made her final livestream. She ended the stream with a tearful rendition of Tabimachi no Hi ni ("On the Day of Departure") with piano accompaniment.[1]

On 30 December, as a farewell video, she posted a song cover of Tabimachi no Hi ni. It featured vocals of Akane Homura, Shiroi Tier, Sudetaki, Asshi, Muda Utsuro, and Maji Owari, and was set to a nstalgic highlight reel of Homura's streams, including notable collabs.

Following a farewell tweet, she officially retired on 31 December.[2]
