Akane Jun (赤金ジュン) is an independent male English-language Virtual YouTuber.
He debuted as member of the English-language Virtual YouTuber agency PRISM Project's 6th Generation, along with Kitashiro Yuki.

Personality[]
Jun is a talkative and boastful man. He likes to fully expose what he is proud and share a vibe of excitement. He puts himself in challenge by various ways.
Appearance[]
Jun has short, bright red hair with a braided part that has white streaks in it. His eyes are a light pinkish-purple that has gear like shaped pupils. He also has a white pet bird with rainbow feathered wings that can be seen on his shoulder during streams.
Jun's rebranded detective design features blue hair with an orange feather hanging from a thin headband. He has heterochromia, with his left eye being blue while his right eye is orange, and has scars over his right eye and the left side of his face. He wears a gray yukata, and over it a black and white haori, which has blue feathers lining the bottom. He can hold dice with one hand and a jitte with the other, and he has a blue bird tail. His parrot mascot is replaced with a small blue bird, identified by Jun as a red-backed flycatcher.

Background[]
Jun, together with Kitashiro Yuki, was revealed on 4 June 2023.[1] On the same day, Jun tweeted his first tweet on his Twitter account.[2] He debuted on 10 June and he continues to stream to this day.
2024[]
Dissolving[]
On 2 March 2024, PRISM Project announced they would cease their activities at the end of the month, and let all remaining talents the chance to keep their character IPs.[3] Jun confirmed he will become independent.
On 1 April 2024, Jun released his first cover, "Summer" by Good Kid, as a thank-you for the time he had spent in PRISM.
2025[]
On 15 November 2025, Jun held his redebut stream, in which he revealed his rebranded detective model. On the same day, he premiered a cover of "Pallet" by mikanzil and PSYQUI.
Events[]
- On 24 September 2023, he participated in the first Rixa Invitational Apex tournament organized by Niamocha, along with Elias and Pisces as part of team "PB&J."[4] The team placed 20th in the overall ranking.[5]
- On 31 May-2 June 2024, Jun was a featured guest at OffKai Expo Gen 3, where he discussed his experience as an agency-affiliated and independent VTuber alongside Rita Kamishiro, Pina Pengin, Nana Asteria, and Ami Amami as part of the "Agency or Indie?" panel. He also participated in the "Ex-PRISM Comeback Concert" with the aforementioned VTubers as well as Iku Hoshifuri, Aoi Tokimori, Shiki Miyoshino, and Mako Sameshima, during which they announced that they would be continuing as the independent VTuber group Prima Project.[6]
- On 5 October 2024, he participated in Niamocha's Rixa2.0 Invitational Apex Tournament, along with Sarugaku Leon Jr. and Tsun as part of team "Not Last."[7] The team placed 17th in the overall ranking.[8]
- On 25 January 2025, he participated in Clotho's Fortnite tournament with over 100 participants split in 25 teams, as part of Team Performance Anxiety along with: Hyouma Kohaku, Sarugaku Leon Jr., and Komiyama Ambros. Their team came out victorious of the tournament.[9]
Mascots and fans[]
- Jun's mascot is a red-backed flycatcher named Iganu.
- Prior to his rebrand, Jun had a different mascot, a parrot with rainbow-colored feathers named Unagi.
- Jun's fans are known as Junior Detectives.
- Junior Detectives are depicted as blue birds wearing deerstalker caps and plaid detective capes.
- The Junior Detectives were designed by Caspurr Catacini.
- Prior to his detective rebrand, Jun's fans were known as Junmates.
Trivia[]
- Miyoshino Shiki said PRISM Project used food code names for some of their members before debut, and Jun's was "Unagi".[10]
- Jun is aware that the combination of his name and his parrot's can strangely remind of Juna Unagi.[10]
- Jun shares with Rin Penrose some love for Pikmin.
