Amanda Splatts is a roadkill VSinger who hails from "The Desert" and is heavily inspired by 90's OVA anime. She primarily plays retro games and fighting games. She was "born" on July 4th, and premiered on 17 July 2024.

Profile[]

Amanda Splatts is a foul-mouthed, raspy bohemian degenerate gambler and v-singer who was once an unidentified desert creature who got ran over by the Isekai staple, Truck-Kun, over a decade ago. Instead of getting hit by the truck, she got run over, becoming roadkill. But things "get weird in The Desert" and she somehow became a 6'6" pale-skinned, jaundice-eyed "magical girl". Truck-Kun jackknifed after running her over, and is still burning in the middle road somewhere in The Desert to this day. She enjoys singing The Eagles, retro video games, and fighting games.

Appearance[]

Amanda wears an old European-style black-and-yellow school blazer and black slacks (Haggar brand), occasionally a tie. She has pale skin and dead yellow jaundiced eyes that she prefers to hide with black sunglasses with perfectly round frames, and long unkempt gray hair.

History[]

Background[]

Amanda initially chose the unused Amanda Splatts character listed in the FlaVR Archive, but the original character was quite different, far more of a traditional magical girl. Amanda Splatts OVA changed the character idea quite drastically, but kept important elements like the yellow/black color scheme and the roadkill origin. She created hundreds of images using Microsoft Copilot, and the one listed above in her profile went so hard, it inspired her to try actually VTubing, although her background is in creative writing.

Cara Malone, a talent who had started streaming in May of that year, was an early inspiration of Amanda's, and someone she still considers her senpai to this day. Niicola (Ver. 2) was also a very early inspiration, and one of the primary inspirations for Amanda being a VSinger over a simple VTuber.

On 18 July 2024, Amanda Splatts debuted with Desert Karaoke.

Karaoke[]

Amanda is a v-singer, first and foremost. She primarily sings The Eagles, but also is into rock groups ranging from The Hives to Death Grips.

Translated Games[]

Amanda is a retro gamer, but has a special affinity for games that never arrived in the US and were translated by fans. Two of her earliest streams were fan translations of Otogiriso and Ball Bullet Gun.

Desert Mysticism[]

Fortune telling and other bizarre strangeness. Hosted by Guerro the Heirophant, a cactus with sunglasses.

Fighting Games[]

Although she admits she's no good at them, Amanda is a massive fan of fighting games. Their crowning achievements are beating Street Fighter 1, after struggling with Adon for almost an hour, and beating all five fighting games in the Neo Geo Pocket Collection Volume 1 in one stream.

She primarily streams at 5AM (so she can get to the public pool right after her stream) and Saturday evenings, which she dubs "Splatterday".
