You may know me as the girl that died back in November...
~ Amiaryllis Bloo

Amiaryllis Bloo is an independent VTuber who debuted in February 2024.

She was most notable for a bizarre series of events including faking her own death, establishing multiple VTuber groups composed entirely of members played by herself, reaching nearly 20,000 YouTube subscribers in the controversy, and finally deleting her own accounts.

Profile[]

Hallo! I’m Amiaryllis or Ami, a blueberry turned human via magic! I want to make friends and memories here on the interwebs! 🫐✨

Personality[]

Ami is a bubbly girl who loved to sing and often does karaoke streams. She also has an interest in visual novels.

Appearance[]

Ami is a blueberry turned human through the power of magic. She often wears a long blue dress and black stockings. Her short brown hair is usually tied into twin tails with light blue ribbons but occasionally is tied into a bun instead.

History[]

Background[]

Before becoming a VTuber, Amiaryllis Bloo first recorded herself singing on 29 November 2020.

Amiaryllis Bloo's YouTube and Twitch channel were both created on 14 February 2024. She debuted, presumably on YouTube, on the same day. Her debut stream is now lost after her retirement.

On the same day, she also made her first TikTok post. It featured a 2D model with large, deep blue eyes, tied-back hair and a blue dress.

2024[]

On 2 March, Amiaryllis started her own VTuber idol group, CyberMelody. Ami is the group's leader, alongside Yana Ovechkina and Amelia Newton.[1]

On 14 March, she began a hiatus.[2] A second VTuber character, Aliana Havenside, appeared on the channel as her manager, explaining that Ami was in hospital undergoing surgery.

On 20 March she debuted her second 2D model. This version features purple eyes, small twintails held in powder blue hair ribbons, a white shirt and a grey skirt.[3]

On 21 March, she re-debuted under the company Hyaxis.

On 22 March, she reported that her manager Aliana Havenside had died of a heart attack.[4]

On 23 March, Amiaryllis started development on her own visual novel "My Shining Idol." It was quietly cancelled shortly after.

On 29 March, she appeared in a Twitch stream with a high-quality PNG avatar based on her 2.0 design. On 30 March, she also used a similarly styled version of her 1.0 design. These may have been AI-generated, and would be discontinued shortly thereafter.

On 22 April, she switched to a hand-drawn static PNG model on TikTok. The reason is that her phone kept overheating when she used VTube Studio. The design is based on her 2.0 model, and has the features that it can blink and have the mouth move, but is otherwise static.[5] From this point on, she would also use her PNG models in Twitch and YouTube streams.

On 27 April, she debuted an alternate costume for her PNG model on TikTok. It uses the blue dress from her 1.0 model, but keeps the hair and eyes from the original PNG.[6] This would also appear in her user icon. She also had a third variant of the PNG model, a green off-shoulder dress.

On 18 July, she reached Twitch affiliate status.

On 29 July, she debuted a 3D model on TikTok, featuring a blue and white dress designed by Bikonos. She would use this until 31 July, when she last posted on TikTok. Her genmates Hareka Kiratani and Alya Kiratani would also debut 3D models with a matching dress.

Retirement[]

On 2 November, Amiaryllis uploaded a video announcing her graduation. She described how she had been injured in an accident over the summer and was unable to walk.[7] At this point, she had only around 144 YouTube subscribers.

On 3 November, Hyaxis announced on Reddit that Amiaryllis Bloo had passed away shortly after posting the graduation video, due to a heart attack. The post also announced that Hyaxis would disband, since nobody was able to access the group's accounts.[8]

On 7 November, the Hyaxis Twitter account posted a Q&A attributed to her cousin and former manager Marionica (Maria), who had previously retired on 10 August for a new manager named Melody. The posts claimed that Amiaryllis Bloo suffered from life-long heart condition and was on strong medication following an accident earlier in the year which caused severe disability. The post clarified that the group lost access to a shared Google Workspace account, with the result that the other three members were unable to continue on their YouTube channels.[9]

On 18 November, it was announced that the remaining three Hyaxis members would re-debut as members of Luminary Idol Project.[10]

On 30 November, Hyaxis posted a Amiaryllis Bloo tribute video titled Ghost of a Smile.[11] Ami's YouTube channel reached 2,840 subscribers on this date.

2025[]

Around 31 January, Ami reached 5,000 YouTube subscribers.

Unexpected return[]

On 23 February, Amiaryllis Bloo unexpectedly returned to YouTube, revealing that she was alive after all. In a video titled "We need to talk." she revealed that she had been resuscitated from the heart attack, but had asked the hospital to keep her condition private, causing a misunderstanding. Following her recovery, she decided to make a clean break and start a new life, and was debating whether or not to return to streaming.[12][13]

The story of Amiaryllis Bloo's miraculous return went viral, and by 26 February, she had 13,000 YouTube subscribers.

On 28 February, the r/AmiaryllisBloo subreddit was created.

On 1 March, Amiaryllis posted her new 3.0 model, made by Midas. The model was made in six days as a gift to celebrate Amiaryllis' miraculous recovery, and Midas did both the illustration and rigging.[14]

Controversy and second retirement[]

On 2 March, Amiaryllis was the subject of a Reddit post which alleged that all three of the other members of Hyaxis—Alya Kiratani, Hareka Kiratani, and Kataya Misuri—were performed by Amiaryllis Bloo herself, as were manager Marionica; Noire Celestia, Himari Momoiro, and Aoi Meijou of Celestiverse Production; and Ophelia Amaris Mortem, Yuki Hoshino, and Aqua Seraphine of Luminary Idol Project, as well as a staff member named Stephen Lewis-Walker; her boyfriend "Alex"; the VTuber Dia Shizuku, and her manager Aliana Havenside. She was also accused of lying about having a disability.[15][16][17][18]

On 3 March, Ami posted a video responding to the allegations, where she claimed that her parents were responsible for faking her death as a way to make money.[19][20] Subsequent VTubers identified as Amiaryllis Bloo alts included Kana Nagamine, Ichika Setsuna, Saki Morikawa, Lianna Preston, Katya Berryanova, Megu Shirokuma; Celestiverse member Yuki Momose; all three Eclipsia Project members Melody Shiori, Luna Serenity, and Mina Hoshizora; and CyberMelody members Yana Ovechkina and Amelia Newton.

On 4 March, Ami privated all content on her YouTube channel, and announced that she would no longer use the Amiaryllis Bloo persona.[21][22]

On 6 March, Celestiverse Production announced it was disbanding, with only Himari Momoiro continuing as an independent streamer.[23]

On 7 March, the /r/AmiaryllisBloo subreddit was declared official.

On 8 March, it was noticed that Ami's YouTube account had been deleted. Shortly after, Ami sent several messages on her Discord server parting ways with the community, acknowledging that some of her previous claims were untrue. She refunded money sent by fans, and apologized for her actions.[24][25][26] She had reached just under 20,000 YouTube subscribers when her channel was deleted.

On 9 March, she posted a Google Doc, in which it was stated that she had been suffering under delusions due to mental health issues, and had believed everything she was saying. She also revealed that she was born with hip dysplasia and had spent much time in hospital as a child.[27] Her Discord community responded by shifting its focus to fish-based memes.

On 14 March she re-activated her YouTube account. This was followed on 15 March by two videos, including a piano recording.[28][29] The account was deactivated again shortly thereafter.

Return[]

On 19 August, she returned to Twitch to apologize for faking her own death a second time. In a YouTube post, Amiaryllis officially revealed that she had been independent VTuber Amia Custard, who had debuted on 28 March and was claimed to have died around 14 June.[30] Amiaryllis apologized specifically to VTuber Himari Momoiro for the deception, denying earlier speculation that she and Himari were the same person, and pledged not to lie any more. She also re-opened her Twitter account.[31]

On 20 August, Amiaryllis streamed again on Twitch, this time using a new Live2D model illustrated by Mame.

On 31 August, she went on hiatus again,[32] although she would stream on occasion.

On 3 October, she began posting YouTube shorts to the former Amia Custard channel, which was now re-branded to Amiaryllis Bloo.

    Whenever I'm with you."
  • "Please treat people kinder. A smile can save a life, a frown can end one."

Lore[]

There was a lady, whose late husband left her with a beautiful garden. She sat there every day, looking after the plants and flowers, as they reminded her of him. In the middle of the garden was a blossoming blueberry blush. She adored this blueberry bush. Blueberry pie was her husband’s favorite dish.

One day, a terrible fire broke out, and although she managed to save the most of her building, the garden was completely destroyed. She was devastated. All of the hard work her and her husband created, all gone like that…

She collapsed to her knees by the burnt blueberry bush. She noticed a single blueberry that lay unharmed, picked it up, and cried heavily. She was so, so very lonely…

Suddenly, a witch appeared in front of her. She was scared at first, but the witch assured her she wasn’t evil, she was a “good witch”. She explained she saw how cruel her life has been so far, and wishes to help her.

With a swish of her wand, the blueberry in the lady’s hands began to glow, and took shape into a demi-human girl.

”Now you won’t be lonely anymore,” the witch explained, “you can look after your new daughter.”

And hence, Amiaryllis Bloo was born.
