Araka Luto (新火ると) is an independent female English Virtual YouTuber.

Luto's first and main streaming language is English, but she also speaks Japanese and Chinese at a communicative level.

She mostly streams video games on her YouTube channel, but she also sometimes does karaoke and drawing. She also does weekly anime news/reviews and meme reviews.

She debuted as member of the English Virtual YouTuber agency PRISM Project's 2nd Generation, along with Kamishiro Rita.

Long ago, in another world,
A prophet once stated:
"On the 6th of June, of year 666,
A demon with terrifying powers,
Will be born...
And she is destined,
To become the next demon queen."
In that year,
The demon lord had a baby daughter,
And he named her "Luto".
Not long after Luto's birth,
A war between the demons
And humans broke out,
And a lot of life was tragically lost...
During the chaos,
Luto and her mother,
Were separated from her father...
And so,
Until Luto had grown up,
She lived with her mother
In the human world.
Then, thousands of years pass,
And Luto was finally
Reunited with her father.
Luto then began learning many skills,
To become the next demon queen.
However, after a while,
Luto began to realise,
She was different from other demons...
One fateful night,
Luto snuck into her father's study room,
And discovered a machine,
That led to alternate worlds.
She peeked into the machine,
And saw worlds,
That were similar to hers.
However, unlike her world,
Those worlds
Were filled with joy and laughter.
Drawn in by the warmth,
Luto decided to enter the machine.
And thus, a new story begins,
And that is the story
Of the birth of a new idol...

Just like the rest of the PRISM Project members, Araka Luto is a special agent from the year 2120, which has been sent back to the past to prevent the threat of humans losing interest and passion for others.

Personality

Luto is a very big prankster and she tends to cause chaos whenever she raises her voice. She is in a constant state of war with her audience. She likes to taunt them and vice versa, but she also often displays tsundere tendencies towards her viewers. She is also very energetic, changing her voice tones constantly. She is an airheaded. She often throws swears.

Appearance

Luto has the appearance of a small demon girl mixed with the theme of butterflies. She wears a black dress with crimson stripes and black gloves. She has a crimson demon eye on her chest, that can reflect light. She has a pair of black-crimson demon wings on her back. The crimson parts of the wings are semi-transparent. Also on her back, she has a black tail with a crimson butterfly at the end of it. She wears black shoes.

She has purple eyes with a small light pink butterfly accent on them. Her ears are long and pointy, and she has small round crimson earrings on them. She has a pair of tiny fangs in her mouth. She has long crimson hair, that goes beyond the hip area, and an ahoge on the top of it. She has a dark red butterfly pin on her left side of her hair. She has also a pair of small demon wings that serve as horns. Her right horn is in a darker shade of crimson and has a butterfly dangling from a string that serves as a decoration. Her left horn is in her typical shade of crimson and has a small screen, that changes its contents depending on Luto's mood.

History

Background

On 7 March, at the end of the PRISM Project collaboration stream over at Ibuki Meno's channel, a time anomaly was reported by the PRISM staff. The culprits behind the anomaly later turned out to be the 2nd Generation members, Kamishiro Rita and Araka Luto. During the event, she tweeted her first tweet and it showed her zoomed-in eye. She unveiled her upper body design on 13 March. On 17 March, she posted her first post or Reddit, on the r/VirtualYoutubers subreddit, in which she has done her voice reveal. She uploaded her first video on her YouTube channel on 18 March.She uploaded her first song cover on her channel on 21 March, where she "covered" My Heart Will Go On.

She debuted on 28 March 2021 on YouTube.

2021

On 30 March, she played her first game on stream, Subnautica.

On 3 April, she did her first karaoke stream.

On 11 April, she celebrated her monetization by doing a karaoke stream.

On 29 April, she reached 10k subscribers on YouTube.

On 9 May, she released her first solo cover song "MORE" by K/DA.

On 30 August, she opened her channel membership feature.

On 25 September, 2nd generation's 6 months anniversary, Luto and Rita released their new cover song "Suki Kirai" by HoneyWorks on Rita's channel. Right after the song was their celebration stream "Try not to laugh challenge."

2022

On 8 February, Rita and Luto announced a fan art project that would be used in a special project to celebrate the 2nd generation's one yer anniversary.

On 26 March, Rita and Luto released a cover of "BRING IT ON" by Giga as well a fanart showcase in commemoration of their one-year anniversary.

On 8 August, she reached 70,000 subscribers on YouTube channel.

On 6 December, PRISM Project announced that Luto would be taking a break from streaming activities from 6 December 2022 to late January 2023 due to personal reasons.

2023

On 6 February, PRISM Project announced to extend the break of Luto until 20 February.

2024

Dissolving

On 2 March 2024, PRISM Project announced they would cease their ativities at the end of the month, and let all remaining talents the chance to keep their character IPs. Despite being on hiatus, Luto expressed herself to confirm she will become independent.

• On 4 April 2022, OffKai Expo's Twitter account announced that Araka Luto and many VTubers would appear in "OffKai Expo" which would be held from 29 April to 1 May as guests.

• Luto calls her fans "Kalutists". It is a combination of cultists with her name.

• Luto shares the same character designer, Amashiro Natsuki, with Kamiko Kana, Gawr Gura and Gokigen Naname.
  • Her connections with Naname go deeper, as they share the same character modeller, Shirasawa Kazane, as well.
• Standing at 145 cm (4'9"), she is currently the shortest member of PRISM Project. She hates to be pointed out that she is so short. She wants to ideally be 180 cm (5'11").
• She ships YU, the Producer of PRISM Project, with Hacker-san, the CTO of PRISM.
• She tries to get Tokimori Aoi's affection, but to no avail.
• She doesn't mind stepping on her viewers.

• The reason that she dislikes her genmate Rita so much is that she has more superior boing-boings than her.
• Inspired by Hoshifuri Iku's kalimba playing streams, she bought a kalimba for herself.
• In the true spirit of a tsundere, she does not like to be called cute. Instead, she demands to be called akuma.
• Sometimes when her chat give her lots of Superchats, Luto becomes flustered. She tries to reprimand them all the time, but to no avail.
• The sound of her laughter is akin to a seagull and sometimes to other people, a printer.
• In one of her streams, Luto challenged the chat how long they could spam the word UwU/OwO (other forms apply) while reading Superchats and Streamlab donations, which lasted for about 45 minutes. She ended up losing the bet and gave the chat 'rewards'. Chat always win.
