Athy (formerly Athena Nightingale) is an independent female Virtual YouTuber.

She became during a while member of Akio AIR's 1st Generation also known as Season 1 REfract, alongside MEW Horizon, Nonoah, RoaFen, and Kion Dojima. During this era, she took the name of "Athena Nightingale".

Raised as a weapon of destruction in a war-torn world, private first class Athena knew nothing but to fight. One day, a surprise ambush left her for dead on the battlefield with her wings blown off. She was saved by a field nurse known as "Nightingale" and spent her time to recovering in the Nightingale house. She then adopted the name and was inspired to become a field nurse herself, hoping to save the lives of innocent beings trapped in violence and conflict. Using inter-dimensional travel, the Nightingales are stationed all over the universe to lend their service. Athena has traveled to many places, but often visits this world after being recruited to help fight against a deadly virus.

"I sing and make music to help me recover from my hectic shifts. So I also hope that my songs can heal and bring peace to those who listen."

"When I am not on duty, I travel everywhere and explore other worlds such as this one! I love finding new places and meeting new people! Just remember to bring some snacks!"

Appearance[]

She is a mature woman with white long unleashedd grey hair and golden eyes of owl. There is a mole under her right eye. She wears comfy casual clothes such as: a pink top with black stripes exposing her arms and shoulders, pink short pants, and a creamy yellow blouse spotted of pill patters. She doesn't wear shoes, but her right leg is covered by bandages while her left leg wears a black tigh high and a pink bandaid. On her right arm, she bears a medical pocket stocking a pink liquid. Her collar has a blue heart-shaped jewel. Athy can put on black glasses and a cute hat arboring owl wings.

Athena's YouTube channel was created on 9 January 2012, her Twitter was created in April 2021.

On 28 February, she released her first original song "HAACHAMA HORROR SONG" for the HAACHAMA Horror Contest.

Athena debuted on 15 June 2021, she started the debut stream with an original song "🦉Athena's Aria."[1][2]

2021[]

On 16 September, Athena revealed her "Slumber Party outfit".[3]

On 1 November, she revealed her "Sailor Uniform Nurse outfit".[4]

On 22 December, she celebrated her 6 months anniversary which was also her last stream before taking an indefinite hiatus.[5]

2022[]

Joining Akio AIR[]

On 18 January, Athena announced that she would be a part of AkioAIR.[6]

On 11 March, she redebuted.[7]

On 23 March, during a stream, she announced that her channel was approved for monetization, and opened superchat.[8]

On 25 March, she became a YouTube partner.[9]

On 26 April, she had her first stream on Twitch channel.[10]

On 29 April, she opened her channel membership feature.[11]

On 1 May, she had her first official collaboration stream with a VTuber outside Akio AIR Toba Fuyumi.[12]

On 9 June, she reached 10,000 subscribers on YouTube channel during a karaoke stream.[13][14]

On 3 November, she announced that she would be taking a month break due to health issues.[15]

2023[]

Leaving Akio AIR[]

On 24 September, Athena announced that she would be leaving Akio AIR and becoming an indie VTuber, rebranding as simply "Athy". This post was then deleted hours later without any warning.

She made a different announcement on 29 September, not only reiterating that she was severing all ties with AkioAIR, but also airing her own grievances with the company.[16]

2024[]

Redebut[]

On 2 August, Athy released the trailer for her debut stream with her 3.0 model, closer from her standards of nurse, but still with owl attributes. She set her debut for 4 August.

  • Athena's fanbase is called "nightowlets."
  • Her pet is a worm named "Mimi." Mimi is a talented worm, he can also play violin.
  • Has a close friendship with "Pizza Rat." A rat who loves eating anything (but mainly pizza!). He can be seen in Athena's debut stream as well as on most of her end stream screens.[2]

  • She has had every bodily fluid end up on her clothes at work.
  • She has visited every continent on Earth except Antarctica.

  • Her race is Great horned owl.
  • In Greek mythology, "Athena" is the name of an ancient Greek goddess associated with wisdom, handicraft, and warfare. Similarly, Athena takes the form of an owl, a creature that represents wisdom.
  • Her birthday 4 August is also the International Owl Awareness Day.

  • Athena's last name and lore are most likely a nod to Florence Nightingale, an English statistician who was a prominent nurse during the Crimean War in the 19th century and is also credited as the mother of modern nursing.
