Ayla Yew is an independent female English-speaking Virtual YouTuber and artist.
She initially debuted as part of NexStage Project's first generation "CodeX", alongside Blair Labri, Zhuni Excel, Plumarielle, and Jax Riot.

Raised by beasts, Ayla has found herself a bit of a klutz and oblivious to the world. Although she has lots of learn about how to live amongst people, Ayla can't help having her blood turn hot with excitement when learning about everyone and what makes them the happiest! With her companion Kevin whispering tips and tricks to continue adding her own colors to the world and create harmony with society. Song, art, dance, and even silly little noises are all languages society knows no matter what our stories are, or what languages we speak. Luckily for Ayla, these are her favorite ways to connect with everyone!
Personality[]
Ayla is known for her tenacity and her positive energy in her streams. She has an easygoing personality that lets her get along well with viewers and other VTubers alike, and isn't shy about showing her appreciation for her many friends in the VTuber community. Ayla enjoys sharing about herself and her life, and has a playful side, often inserting silly little sound effects into her anecdotes.
Her tenacity and optimism in the face of hardship are exemplified by her original song, "Believer." When interviewed about the meaning behind her song, Ayla discussed her struggles with social anxiety, with the song expressing her desire to overcome her fear of how others perceive her and her gratitude towards the community that has supported her.[1]
Although she tends to be level-headed most of the time, Ayla also has some more unrestrained and "gremlin-like" tendencies. Her extreme love of Coca-Cola is infamous among her community, and she can be seen online at very late times in her timezone. She can also become immersed in games to the point where some of her gaming streams have turned into impromptu marathon streams.

Ayla has long white hair with several pink and turquoise streaks. She has multicolored eyes, pink at the top and fading to turquoise at the bottom. She has a large pink ribbon on the back of her hair and three smaller ribbons on one lock of her hair. She also has synthetic foxlike ears and a tail, which can be removed.
Her outfit consists of a white skirt and a sleeveless top and a single blue legging, with an additional piece of blue and white clothing circling her neck and covering her upper body. She also wears a white jacket with oversized sleeves off-shoulder; it can be removed.

Ayla Yew's Twitter account was created in September 2022 and her YouTube channel was created on 21 December 2022.
On 1 November 2022, NexStage Project announced their first Vtuber group, CodeX.[2]
On 30 December 2022, NexStage Project announced the reveal of Ayla Yew and uploaded a video revealing her design as "A Beast Tamer VTuber".
2023[]
On 6 January, NexStage Project uploaded a video announcing a 3D concert and variety show with the debuting talents of CodeX, which would take place on 6 March.
On 11 March 2023, Ayla debuted as a member of NexStage Project's first generation, CodeX. Her debut featured a song cover of "Stand up! Blaze up!" by iMarine.
On 1 July 2023, Ayla celebrated her YouTube channel monetization.[3]
2024[]
On 16 March 2024, Ayla and Zhuni Excel performed in NexStage's 3D Live Concert RESURGENCE, featuring an original song "Break Out" produced by CircusP.[4] An HD remaster of the concert would later be uploaded to NexStage Project's YouTube channel.[5]
On 17 March 2024, Ayla premiered her first solo original song, "Believer."
Dissolving[]
On 27 July 2024, NexStage Project announced its closure at the end of August 2024.[6] In a stream held on the same day, Ayla confirmed that she would retain the rights to her IP and character models, and would be continuing activities as an independent vtuber.[7]
2025[]
On 4 March 2025, Ayla updated her YouTube and Twitter handles from @AylaYew_NS to @AylaYew.

- On 2 June 2024, Ayla was a guest at OffKai 2024, where she held a meet and greet.[8]
- On 28 June 2024, Ayla attended CEO 2024, where she held a meet and greet alongside Buoy Afuru. [9]
- On 14 December 2024, Ayla was a featured guest at Anime Weekend Atlanta's Event Horizon V-Idol Festival.[10]
- On 20 December 2024, Ayla attended Oshi Oasis at Holiday Matsuri 2024, where she held a meet and greet and performed in a final live concert with Zhuni.[11] Ayla was also the artist for Holiday Matsuri 2024's mascot art. [12]
- On 16 March 2025, Ayla participated in the "VTUBER COOK-OFF!" Overcooked 2 Tournament organized by Remia Aotsuki, as part of "Tough Cookies" along with Chiaki Katsumi. They competed against "Teetee (てぇてぇ)" (Taiga Toragami & Tomo Kitagawa) in round 1, and against "50% Sugar" (Meimi Majokko & Hysteria.EVE) in round 2, and against "Miroro Team" (Hirano Kokoro & Miki Hitsugi) in round 3 (semifinals), and finally against "team kohatomo" (Kohaku Yumekui & Tomoe Carmine) in the finals, winning the tournament in a best of 3 games.[13]

- Ayla's mascot is Kevin, a small white foxlike creature with bright pink patterns on its ears, similar to Ayla's own synthetic ears, as well as star-shaped markings on its forehead and upper body and swirl markings on its tail.
- Ayla's fans are known as Kevkin.
- Kevkin are depicted as the species to which Kevin belongs, but the markings on their ears, body, and tail may be a variety of colors.
