Buttons The Doll (ボタンツ ザ ドール) is a female American Virtual YouTuber. She is an independent Vtuber on Twitch and has been active since July 2021.

Buttons is a living doll who wants to find new experiences and new friends! She was made during the Victorian era in England and was passed down in a family from mother to daughter until present day. She has gained new personality traits and new interests with each new child she's been put in charge of and apparently has never "been awake" this long before.
Appearance[]
Buttons has had several models and frequently designs and debuts new outfits. Her base model has long strawberry blonde hair, worn loose, blue eyes, and noticeable stitching at the joints. Her base outfit is an ornate blue dress with a white panel on the front, embroidered with blue and gold flower motifs.
Personality[]
Buttons is known for being a rather chaotic presence. She frequently takes her cues from how energetic her chat or other streamers are that day. Like many streamers, Buttons struggles with dead air at times and often has a mod, another streamer, or someone from her discord server on a call during streams.
She has mentioned being older than several other Vtubers in her friend group and often takes the role of older sister. Buttons can be aggressively supportive and will often take offense if anyone is rude to her friends, even the friend in question.
Despite her insistence that she's less than intelligent Buttons frequently mentions historical trivia, obscure legal information, scientific discoveries, and classic literature. She's mentioned more than once that she has a doctorate and two other degrees but has not revealed the specific field to her viewers. This is likely due to privacy concerns.
History[]
Background[]
Buttons debuted on July 30th, 2021 to immediate technical difficulties which have become a running joke on her streams. Many designs and iterations were seen and discarded nearly as quickly in the following months. She debuted what she called V3 model series in winter 2021.
2022[]
In July 2022 Buttons had her first anniversary stream and revealed the V4 model series. The V4 has remained her longest used iteration to the present day.
Halloween 2023 saw her first subathon with a Resident Evil 12 hour stream.
Fans[]
Her fans are affectionately called "blockheads" in reference to children's toys. She tends to develop rapport with as many regulars of streams as possible.
