ChromaSHIFT, formerly known as idol Corp, is a VTuber agency owned by Brave Group US Inc. Their mission statement is "bringing an entire solar system of talent & creativity."[1]
History[]
Former logo before 2025 rebranding
2022[]
On 10 March, idol Corp announced their first generation as Hebrew branch, idol-HE. Their debuts were scheduled starting from 10 May.[2]
On 27 June, auditions for an idol-EN generation were opened.[3]
On 8 September, idol announced an upcoming generation of VTubers with a short teaser.[4]
On 6 November, they released a trailer and revealed idol-EN generation 1, E-Sekai. E-Sekai debuts were scheduled starting from 20 November.[5]
On 31 December, idol announced they would open auditions for idol-EN second generation between 1 and 31 January 2023.[6]
2023[]
On 16 January, idol released a short trailer for an upcoming event. The full reveal for this event was scheduled around 15 February.[7]
On 14 February, idol revealed their new EN member: Project STAR, Riro Ron, whose debut stream was planned on 16 February.[8]
On 20 April, idol announced their second EN generation, Endless, upcoming around May 2023.[9]
On 3 May, idol scheduled the reveal trailer for idol-EN second generation on 31 May.[10]
On 30 May, idol stated the trailer release was moved to 7 June due to unexpected delays.
On 9 June the trailer for idol's 2nd EN generation, ENdless, was published. Their debut streams were scheduled on 14 June.[11]
On 14 July, Rin Penrose announced on idol's behalf all their current talents will get merchandise on sales for the next two weeks.
On 2 August, idol announced they would be opening auditions for their first Spanish speaking generation, idol-ES.[12]
On 6 August, idol announced they would be opening auditions for their third English speaking generation.[13]
On 29 August, idol announced and opened their idol Clippers Program.
On 2 October, idol reopened their limited merchandise for a week, in honor of making PayPal an available option in their online store.
On 28 December, the agency and Brave Group announced a strategic partnership between them.[14]
2024[]
On 11 March 2024, remodeling temporary their Twitter account, idol teased the debuts of GENESIS scheduled for 17 March.[15] It was revealed officially on 12 March they consist of, formerly known as Origin, Kattarina Qutie and Nikki Rei, now fully considered part of idol-EN.
On 27 April, idol-ES generation 1's trailer was revealed,[16] figuring among them the already established VTuber Meica05. They would debut on 3 May.[17]
On 6 May, idol revealed a trailer for the debut of Enya Ignis and ENCORE, a music-focused group under the EN branch whose remaining two members would be left undisclosed until 11 May, Enya's debut.[18] These remaining two members would be Shabel Tonya and Chikafuji Lisa.
On 19 May 2024, the first tournament of idol Corp was organized by Poko Rakun, the idol Cup 2024. Having place in Mario Kart, it gathered 14 idol talents.[19][20]
On 30 May, at OffKai, idol teased for the first time their third English generation "WILDFYRE".[21]
On 31 July, idol announced their acquisition by Brave Group US. Talents will have choice to stay or leave with their IP.[22] Aviel Basin also announced he would be stepping down from being CEO.[23]
On 7 August, idol announced which talents would stay or depart. Kattarina Qutie, Fuyo Cloverfield, Juna Unagi, Rin Penrose and Meica05 will pursue their activities as independent. The date of their departure is still to decide. Four talents for the upcoming generation 3 "WILDFYRE" are planned to debut, instead of five like initially teased.[24]
On 10 August 2024, idol, transmitted a letter from Momo Otako, announcing her return in activity after rebranding.[25]
On 16 September, the idol Clipper Program, put in hiatus since June 2024, was re-opened, except it was extended to all Brave Group US, and so renamed "Brave Group US Clipper Program".[26]
On 12 October, idol released the debut trailer of their third English generation "WILDFYRE". Their debuts were set for 19 October.[27]
On 26 October, WILDFYRE and ten other idol talents held a karaoke relay, "WILDFYRE Welcome", in celebration of WILDFYRE debuts.
On 4 November, idol announced the dates of farewell to the five talents who decided to become independent after their acquisition by Brave Group. Kattarina Qutie would depart on 12 November; Juna Unagi would depart on 13 November; Rin Penrose would depart on 15 November; Fuyo Cloverfield would depart on 16 November; and Meica05 would depart on 17 November.[28]
On 11 November, GENESIS had a 3D concert. They ended their performance with their new original song, "HIGH", reinterpretation in English of idol-HE Origin's original song. Once the concert ended, the performed songs were uploaded on Nikki and Kattarina's respective YouTube channels.[29]
On 7 December, idol Corp abolished its branches and would unify all talents under the only label of "idol". This was meant to better reflect unity inside their company.[30] This announcement would also mean the agency would stop using the separate Twitter account for Spanish readers after 31 December.[31]
2025[]
On 15 January, several YouTube channels related to Brave group US, including idol, lost their monetization features. Both organizations released an official notice to the community citing "fraudulent activity" as the reason for demonetization, and calling for YouTube Support to assist in restoring the monetization.[32]
On 7 February, the talent called "redacted", formerly known as Momo Otako, released the trailer for her redebut as Mia Melonya.[33]
On 18 June, idol Corp rebranded to ChromaSHIFT.[34]
On 21 June, ChromaSHIFT presented the 3D concert "Supernova" at OffKai Expo 2025 where all 17 talents performed, the majority of which appearing with their official 3D models for the first time ever.[35] Later that day, the agency announced that all talents were going to be re-organized between units instead of the generations established until then.[36]
On 6 September, ChromaSHIFT presented "Supernova 'innit" at VeXpo 2025, the agency's first fully 3D concert featuring all their talents.[37]
On 11 September, the ChromaSHIFT Virtual Grand Prix was concluded with a Mario Kart Tournament, commented by Yena Youngblood[38][39]

ENCORE[]
Originally debuting together in the same generation, ENCORE are three VSingers with very different styles of singing and tastes in music.
Their global fanbase is named "Entourage".

idol-HE[]
The Hebrew-speaking branch of idol, also spelled "idolHE", which only debuted one generation before its dissolution.
Origin[]
idol's very first generation of talents. They are themed around different genres of video games with each member being a character from a different genre of game. Kattarina being from action, Nikki from survival, Lily from horror, Neo from fantasy, and Emi from adventure. They debuted on 10 May 2022.[2] Throughout time, the two remaining members were rebranded inside the EN branch.

Generation 0: GENESIS[]
Two members of idol-HE Origin who redebuted within the EN branch. They are a duo of evil agents called GENESIS. Chronologically, they re-debuted after Generation 2 Endless. Kattarina Qutie chose to go independent after idol was assimilated by Brave Group. Nikki Rei became independent later, on 30 June 2025.

EternalS are a team of mystical beings. It was idol's first ES generation, including Meica05 who was an already existing independent talent. They chronogically debuted after GENESIS. After idol was assimilated by Brave Group, Meica decided to return independent.

- Due to an unexpected delay, idol-EN's second generation was fully revealed on a 9 June, which is by coincidence Aviel Basin's birthday.
- All idol members since generation E-Sekai organize one donothon for at least 48 hours.
- The longest one was held by Poko Rakun for 96 hours.
- Kai Saikota created "idol alert" to highlight weekly the news about the agency.[41]
- Past ENCORE's first teaser, when Aviel Basin was asked about already existing talents having joined idol, in case they wanted to leave, if would keep their IP, he confirmed so.[42]
- Punkalopi did a watchalong of all idol-EN debut streams, before herself joining idol as Enya Ignis from ENCORE.
