Danger Dolan or just Dolan for short, is an English speaking Australian Marshmallow man VTuber, voice actor & narrator. Dolan is the main host and CEO of Planet Dolan. A multichannel entertainment company with several YouTube channels, ranging from fact countdowns, reddit stories, Gaming, answers fan-submitted questions and VTubing.

Personality[]

Dolan is portrayed as being kind hearted and care-free, yet somewhat dimwitted, as shown by his explanations on various questions being outlandish and hard to believe, and conflict often arises between himself and other Planet Dolan characters (Notably Shima Luan and Melissa) when his ideas are challenged. He is also very naive, seemingly having little to no knowledge about anything a typical person would know, which leads to him being easy to manipulate by others. Very occasionally, Dolan will correctly answer a submitted question, such as in the S.P.D episode "Can you inflate a balloon underwater?", which is shown to surprise him.

Appearance[]

Dolan is a white, humanoid figure, with no discernible physical features other than eyes that have no pupil color. He is shown to have other body parts on some occasions, such as a nose, but only when needed for comedic value. Dolan wears a blue, puffy hat with a black ribbon coming from the top. Besides that, he wears no clothing. Dolan often wears other clothing, but only when it's required for comedic value.

Background[]

Dolan first started making YouTube gaming videos, primarily World of Warcraft in 2012 under the name DoubleDragon Guides (TheDDGuides). In this time he would make fact videos about WOW that would be the template to his future content.

In 2014 he started the Danger Dolan YouTube channel that would later be rebranded as Planet Dolan. In this time he would make countdown videos on various different topics narrated by him and occasionally by his mysterious brother Zaragamba and once by his girlfriend Golden Gooby.

In 2015 he would bring on the first of many co-host a decision that split his fanbase. Also in this year he would make a movie countdown channel that only lasted roughly three months called Planet Dolan MOVIES & Super Planet Dolan, an animation channel that answers fan-submitted questions.

The last Planet Dolan Video was uploaded on May 9, 2021 and a long hiatus would follow. The hiatus was brought on due to Dolan starting production on a computer animated cartoon pilot called “DESTRUNA” in 2019.

2022[]

On March 9, 2022 Dolan would come out of hiatus and moving his content into a new direction, starting all over again as a VTuber.

On March 20 Dolan would start posting on Planet Dolan V, a channel based on VTubing content.
