DeepWeb Underground (ディープウェブ・アンダーグラウンド), or just "DWU" for short, is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber who debuted in 2018. She is the founder of the VTuber group & agency "Sinsogumi" (深層組, lit. Deep Level Group).
She is known for her content that often deals with adult-oriented topics on YouTube.

DeepWeb Underground has very long blonde hair with pink highlights, arranged in twin ringlet "drills" and eyes with turquoise irises. She has a frilly black hairband on her head. For her outfit, she wears a long purple two piece dress with the skirt part having a darker purple color.

Her Twitter account was created in April 2018, and her YouTube account was created on 9 April 2018.
2018[]
On 10 April, she made her debut on YouTube, declaring "I will burn Mangamura down."[2]
2019[]
On 20 May, DWU celebrated her birthday.[3]
2020[]
On 5 June, DWU's YouTube channel reached 100,000 subscribers.[4]
In September, the official business name of her VTuber group was decided to be Sinsogumi (深層組, lit. Deep Level Group.

On 10 April, DWU commemorated her 4th Anniversary with a voice tweet. She couldn't resume her activities yet until her new PC arrived.[5]
On 16 May, she celebrated her birthday.[6]

On 20 May, DWU held her 5th Anniversary and birthday celebration stream.[7]

On 10 April, DWU celebrated her 7th Anniversary.[8]
On 13 June, her YouTube channel and at least eight other YouTube channels belonging to Sinsogumi and its current and former members got banned, apparently due to multiple copyright strikes.[9]
By 2 July, most Sinsogumi channels including DWU's channel have been restored.

Trivia[]
- According to tweets, she has a problem with many people sending her pictures of (their) penises.
- She often tweets "humans are foolish", likely related to the above.
- She started doing a tsundere video but much of its content was a reference to / recreation of the Max Headroom parody WTTW broadcast signal pirating incident.
- Some 4chan /jp/ anons noted how similar her voice is to Iino Yuu.
- She indicated that an AV (Adult Video) had been made featuring Japanese erotic actress Karina Nishida in the role of DWU, having intercourse with a black man. A discussion video between both women is here.
