Ecotone is a VTuber duo from the Philippines. The duo is comprised of Raika and Kairi. Ecotone is part of team Yokomeshi.

Ecotone is a Filipino Virtual Streamer duo from the Philippines. They primarily stream on twitch together, with their content focusing on horror games. They sometimes perform songs during celebration streams, and occasionally dabble in other genres of games.
Personality and Character Lore[]
Raika Bob[]
Deep sea name; Rbthul'fröplhu (pronounced as Bob); viewers have started adding Bob as part of her 'whole' name.
Raika is an aquatic creature resembling an octopus, and had lived in the deep depths of the sea with her dad. One day, a mermaid sea witch put a curse on her dad, turning him into a terrifying creature, that only a true love's kiss could break. With no other sea creature willing to help them, as his appearance made them fear him, Raika changed her form to be able to come to land and find a way to break the curse there.
Raika is accidentally picked up by a fishing boat run by rodents, and was promptly taken to the palengke (filipino word for 'market'). There she starts working part time in the fish and meat section with Kairi.
Raika acts as Kairi's older sister. She is more crude and swears more often, to Kairi's disappointment. She usually takes care of controlling the games during streams, since she can usually keeps a more clear mind during horror playthroughs. Raika draws often on her free time, and usually uses her skills as a side job to be able to provide snacks for her and Kairi.
Kairi Usa[]
Papa Usa and Mama Usa lived peacefully with their young baby usa many years ago. Papa Usa had been an exemplary Usa in the deer community, however, due to some unfortunate tragedy, their baby usa passed away and effected the family terribly. One night, they receive a knock on the door, and there they find a baby Kairi in a blanket on their doorstep. They take her in as part of their family as their daughter. Kairi proceeds to enter Deer Academy Highschool, graduates as 'Deer of The Century', and eventually enrolls in Butcher school. She is currently still in Butcher school in her 4th year (despite the course being only 6 months long), and hopes to graduate this time.
After the palengke leader finds Raika, Kairi volunteers to take her in as an assistant in the fish and meat section, where Kairi has a meat store with probably illegal to no certification for the business.
Kairi is the younger sister, and she is always up to silly pranks. She believes in being a 'lady' and being 'G-rated' for their streams, so she tries not to swear or be crude. She is much less willing to be affectionate to chat, with the farthest she's willing to go would be giving 'approval'. Though she is a brave deer, she is easily scared by horror games and would rather let Raika take control in playing. She likes to say Nyeh (the official language of deer), and loves Love Live. Her dream is to one day become a 'real' butcher, and pursue her idol dreams!

Ecotunes project are song cover projects sung by Ecotone. The music is mix, mastered, timed, and tuned by their audio manager Polaris Flare.

Background[]
On 28 and 29 April, Ecotone began test streams before debuting on 1 March 2021. They would not start using their models until 20 May, however. They started off playing games such as Stardew Valley and Omori on their livestreams for Twitch.
2021[]
On 28 November, Ecotone joined Team Yokomeshi.
On December 2, Ecotone debuted their 2.0 models.
