History[]
On 7 December 2021, Elaine held her debut on YouTube in a relay with her fellow Generation 1 talents. During her debut, she also revealed her first original song that she wrote herself, "STARLIT RIDE".
2023[]
On 10 January, KoMETA's Twitter Account announced that Elaine would be streaming considerably less often so she could undergo treatment for her severe spinal injury.[2] During this time, she attempted to create more short-form content.
Retirement[]
On 3 May, KoMETA announced that Elaine would be retiring on 8 May on account of several severe health issues.[3]
During her final stream, Elaine stated that all of her channel's content aside from her original songs and covers would be deleted. KoMETA also intended on recasting the character of Elaine with a separate talent behind the persona at some point in the future. This was met with backlash due to the concerns of the fans over an attempt to replace Elaine, as had happened with other attempts to re-cast VTubers. KoMETA CEO GIRA would release a statement on 12 May that clarified some points on this[4], including the fact that this would not be a full-on replacement for her (as this new VTuber would be given a slightly different model and new identity) as well as confirm that this was done with Elaine's cooperation. This statement would also reverse the decision to remove any content from her channel.
