On 21 August 2022, the VirtuaReal bilibili and Twitter accounts teased the upcoming Livers with an image of their silhouettes.
On 23 August 2022, VirtuaReal officially announced their seventeenth generation of Virtual Livers, including Era, accompanied by their designs and profiles.[2] Era made his first dynamic post on the same day.
On 25 August 2022, Era made his first Weibo post.
On 30 August 2022, Era released his first solo video.
On 4 September 2022, the seventeenth wave made their debuts in a stream relay on bilibili from 19:00 to 22:00 CST, Era being the second.[3]

- Most foxes are unlike Era. Compared to those of his siblings that seek immortality, he would rather sleep. He packed up his belongings and left the fox clan after it was too noisy, but only experienced more inconveniences outside. One day, he couldn't bear it anymore and used some vaguely recalled magic to have a great dream that predicted the future. In his dream, a mysterious black-haired person appeared. She said a lot of profound things to him, but Era only heard four words: "Includes food and board". Mostly out of worship towards this person, he followed the dream's guidance and arrived at VirtuaReal, thinking it would be a good place to sleep, but discovered he was wrong. However, Era is satisfied now that he has a job; previously he struggled to find one due to having no special skills as a result of sleeping a lot.[9][10]
- The magic related to his ears and tail have been forgotten, which is why he doesn't have them right now.[11]
