Eri James is a male Malaysian VTuber who made his debut on 11 May 2019. He identifies as an underpaid graphics designer and part-time VTuber. He speaks mainly in English, but he sometimes switched to Malay, Japanese and Mandarin to communicate with his viewers. Eri is well-known for his captivating streams featuring story-driven games like adventure RPGs and visual novels.
Notably, in October 2019, he, alongside Eisu and Okami CoreGX, co-founded the vibrant community of Malaysian VTubers, fostering an open and supportive space for fellow creators.

He has short black hair with a dark green streak, brown skin, and green glasses with brown-ish eyes. His 3D design features him wearing a dark green denim jacket and a black turtle neck. He wears a grey digital artist glove on his left hand, wearing a pair of denim jeans and green neon-lit sneakers with traditional Borneo style pattern.
His latest Live2D design blends the modern idol suit with traditional Kadazandusun motif. Wearing a green cape that extends longer on the left over his suit with yellow linings akin to traditional boludu clothes. He wears white gloves on both hands and a green tie over a white shirt. He wears a pair of black slacks with green and yellow lines on the side a pair of suede shoes.

On 16 October, Eri co-founded the Malaysian VTuber community with Eisu, Okami CoreGX, and others.
On 12 December, he Changed his channel name from Eri's Hobbies & Games to Eri Channel.
2020[]
On 12 May, he revealed his first Live2D model.[2]
On 27 December, he reached 1,000 subscribers on YouTube channel.
2021[]
On 30 April, Eri signed with Collab Asia as a featured creator.
On 30 November, he surpassed 2,000 subscribers on YouTube channel.
2022[]
On 14 May, Eri held a memorable anniversary concert titled Re;Fly, featuring talented performers like Inori Akitsuki, Liliana Vampaia, Yuugure Yuu, Hanniroh Momoko, Shino Kitsune, Yui32Satomi & Fishisverytall, Sagonamiya Rita, Tadano Pow, and Ikahueki.[3]

- On 10 April 2020, Eri was invited as a guest for The Magic Rain's Virtual Idol Party event.[4]
- From 1 - 23 October 2023, Eri organised a month long event called "M4YAnni" in celebration of the 4th anniversary of the Malaysian VTuber community alongside a wide cast of team members including fellow leads such as Apex Daemon, Aruri Auregalia, Ikahueki, and Reguret Rekomiya.
Trivia[]
- Eri's intro saying "Kopivosian, tambahut ku ngaavi" means "Hello, fellow friends" in his native tongue of Kadazandusun language.
- Eri claims to rarely stream graphics design work since he already faced too much graphics design in his day job.
- Eri mentioned that he avoids games that features deep waters such as Subnautica and Raft due to his thalassophobia. Yet, he has no problem playing horror games.
