Attitude and Temperament

While answering an online personality test on stream, she indicated that she completely agreed with the statement "You enjoy watching people argue". Not only that: her overall MBTI type indicated by the personality test site was ENTP-A, which was described as a "Debater" personality type. A lot of fans inferred that this meant she wanted dads to fight amongst themselves (an idea that was already brought up when she suggested a Super Smash Bros. tournament between dads in the previous zatsudan).

During her プロフ帳/ chismografo-answering stream, she described her temperament as "impatient".

Quirks, habits and life stores

Beatani has a problem remembering people's faces (a condition know as facial blindness). This has caused her so many problems, that in one occasion she couldn't distinguish her father from other people. She once followed a stranger to the aquarium thinking they were her father. Additionally, she was told by hospital personnel that she suffered ADHD, and her doctor recommended her prescription medicine for this condition. Her condition has led her to forget her wallet multiple times.

She does not consider herself a party person, and has not been to a Shibuya Halloween party. Additionally, she finds the assistants to be "cringe normies", although she regrets not being able to see the more erotic costumes in person.

Although she was enrolled into an economics class and attended a seminar on the "sounds of the Japanese language", she admits that she never attended any class, and that she hated both studying and economics. Instead, she always practiced drawing, took naps on the school benches, went shopping, went to eat cake, or earned money in her part-time job.

In the stream "Well, Is this the power of ADHD? ;o;", she explained three additional habits or tics of hers:

• feeling an urge to run aimlessly without no apparent provocation,
• failing to wash her face at the washstand without getting her clothes wet,
• sleeping in fetal position while most of her body is wrapped in a blanket, a style which she calls "cocoon style", and resembles the Japanese trend called "otonamaki"
• holding her chopsticks unusually, by holding the top chopstick under her index finger and resting it on top of her middle finger; she says her friends find it rude, and that it's one of the social norms she doesn't quite understand.

Interest in Otaku and Internet Culture

Beatani is very open about her otaku interests. She is a fan of RPGs, Popolocrois being her favorite, and does not shy away from more niche genres as seen in her Touhou & CHKN streams. Many of her jokes come from, or are related to, otaku culture.

Beatani has a sense of humor which is also based on Japanese meme culture, including Japanese flash video culture. She's happy to share information about traditional Japanese culture and Japanese internet culture with her audience; she also likes to learn about western Internet culture from her audience.

Despite the NEET memery, she does wish her fans to have work. She also takes pride in being an otaku bear that never exercises. After less than 30 minutes, she was already asking if she could stop playing RFA (her overall playing time was an hour).

Familiarity With Western or English-Speaking Culture

Before streaming, Beatani only studied English in middle school and high school for 6 years.

Although she's been previously set back by not knowing English well enough, She has a surprisingly good grasp of the language, and is continuing to improve her English skills. She appreciates corrections. Beatani's streams are often an opportunity for her to learn about modern Western culture, including fads such as pet rocks.

Creative Hobbies and Interest in Music

Beatani enjoys creative activities like drawing, but dislikes sports. Her hobbies include making music.

She's familiar with classic rock and classic rock drummers such as 'Keith Moon' and John Bonham. She was into punk music and she's fond of old-school alternative rock music. In one occasion, she started singing along Pixies music, while her fans warned her of the impending copyright strike unless she stopped. She has mentioned liking the following bands and artists:

In addition to composing music as a hobby, Beatani practiced piano in her childhood; additionally, she can play guitar a bit and drums as well. She would like her live model to dance in 3D some day.

Relationship With Chihiro

Chihiro is kind enough to keep in touch with Beatani sometimes, even sending a video letter once, despite the fight between them. However, Beatani's feelings toward Chihiro are ambivalent.

Although one of her goals is to reconcile with Chihiro, Beatani shows little remorse in transforming her sister into a monster in CHKN, which died somewhat quickly after Beatani failed to protect her.

She thinks that her sister is mean, and that she should be kicked out if Beatani has to live with her.

Notable events

Slay the Spire Dating Arc

In Beatani's very first stream she goes on a date with Defect by making him jealous by spending time with Ironclad and Silent. After this stream Beatani had six more Slay the Spire date streams primarily with Defect.

Teddy Arc

In her first drawing stream, she drew a Teddy Bear at her picnic and introduced him as her "boyfriend". She started describing him as a sweet, cool, funny, and cute NEET. It's worth noting that, previous to this stream, she had been suggesting that her fans were not being loyal to her.

Too Many Waifus to Count Arc

As a way of teasing her fans, she also mentioned that her first love was Rabi En Rosu from Di Gi Charat -- Beatani's heart was pounding so much, yet her younger self didn't understand what was happening or what she was feeling. Since then, her other love interests include: Suiseiseki, Faris Nyannyan, Eri Sawachika, and Louise Francoise Le Blanc de La Valliere. This event was dubbed by fans as the "Gosling massacre."

Takuya-kun Arc

In an attempt to taunt her fans, she claimed, likely jokingly, to have a boyfriend called Takuya, an ikemen with whom she has LINE calls every morning (except during the stream, because Takuya was living with her at the time).

Her affair with Takuya-kun was short-lived. He was defeated in the same same stream he was introduced in during a CHKN battle. She already hated Takuya by the next stream.

After a series of Tweets where she indicated that she wanted to "impregnate Listener-chan", Beatani unveiled her art of Listener-chan, an embodiment of her fanbase including its traits.

Listener-chan is depicted as a shy-looking, black-haired girl that is embarrassed of speaking up, and always has a great time whenever Beatani streams.

Beatani has used the Listener-chan character to portray what she perceives to be the different types and attitudes of her fans, such as the "shy" Listener type and the "overprotective" Listener type. Additionally, a Listener-chan Twitter account exists which occassionally reposts messages by fans that fit one of the Listener archetypes.

too fast megameltdown 対 Arc, Punishment Stream, On-Stream DM Reveals

During her too fast RPG stream, Beatani joked about being in a cheerful mood due to her intimate encounters with her "friends with benefits," and joked that she'd never have that kind of relationship with her fans because of them being "kimoota", causing a lot of banter between her and chat. She explained at the end of that stream that her constant jokes were meant to protect her fans that were most attached to her.

Her next stream was a "punishment stream", where she explained that that behavior was due to depression induced by mixing alcohol and medication. In this punishment stream she showed two different Twitter direct messages that she did not appreciate (one asking her for details on her membership plan, and another one about Discord) and expressed her annoyance at other fans who sent "cringe" and long direct messages out of concern.

In another stream, she showed a posterior "good DM", where the sender said he bartered his "Good Boy Points" with his "Bitchmommy" to obtain a membership, in anticipation for her upcoming Among Us games with fans. She then proceeded to show one of his drawings which featured Beatani and Barrack Obama together in a hill (presumably XP Hill), which she called "cute" and gave her feelings of worry and nukumori. (This same person would go on to submit a photo for the Breakfast Contest which featured a room strewn with Coca Cola bottles and other litter, leading Beatani to comment on how she liked tasting the air of empty Coca Cola PET bottles.)

"Remote Kid" is a term that refers to a fan whose DM to Beatani was shown on stream, wherein he asked for details about her lowest-tier membership plan which were already available on her channel, prompting her to ask on-stream why he asked something that he could figure out on his own, and whether he thought his time was more valuable than hers.

He became an established character of her stream briefly after this. During her "World Breakfast Contest", she displayed his submission (which consisted of a stock picture of a steamed rice cake, plus a brief explanation of how it's prepared), while laughing due to his submission and at the fact that he couldn't assist her stream due to homework (despite being 27 years old at the time).

First Birthday Stream

Beatani held a breakfast contest where she ranked the pictures and descriptions of breakfasts submitted by fans and presented all the entires in her first birthday stream. At the same time, she held a "fashion" contest consisting of illustrations submitted by fans for a dating scenario, and similarly, the entries were showcased in the next stream. In the following stream, she displayed birthday gifts presented by members of her audience in the forms of Happy Birthday recordings in multiple languages, a creative mosaic re-drawing of the Windows XP's Bliss background image, and a card with an arrangement of multiple Happy Birthday messages from members of her audience.

Kissless kemono friend arc

During her "cute line for punishment" stream, she suspected that she had the most "degenerate" fetish when compared to her fans' fetishes. The fetish was revealed to be kemono characters during her stream "[性癖暴露/My fetishism] give me vanilla ice cream, save me from the hell". During this same stream, she revealed an odd dating plan, and that she did not understand how to realistically proceed in romantic dates, nor when intimate moments were supposed to happen. The next stream was a pseudodate on Google Maps, simulating a walk around Japanese-subculture spots in Nakano.

WIki Review

During her [WIki Review] stream, Beatani was surprised at the lenght and amount of content in it, pointing out that the wiki page author has to have some sort of mental illness. She was also surprised by the details and information about herself that she didn't even remeber talking about or things she made up on the fly.

Beatani doesn't make it clear whether she thinks it's a derogatory term, or if she's stopping herself from using it out of pity for wiki author. She says the wiki seems daungerous.

6months review

In the [6months review] stream, Beatani looked back at some of the streams and happenings she had in the past 6 months. It was a nostalgic stream and she remembered many of the early streams she had after her english debut.

The Fuwatani shorts

Beatani uploaded a few shorts in which a new recurring character appeared. Her name is Fuwatani and she is a fuwafuwa (fluffy) fur ball that likes eating a lot of fruits. The viewers immediately started to draw porn about her.

• During the first Fuwatani short, she introduced herself, ate banana and a japanese fig, then went to sleep.
• In the second Fuwatani short, she showed her love for peaches.
• During the third Fuwatani short, she apologizes for getting drunk with shochu, then proceeds to get her punishment.
• The fourth Fuwatani short shows her getting a bath and then getting dried. She is not fashionable and not dasai.
• In the last and fifth Fuwatani short she states it's crazy to watch a stuffed toy streaming, and that the viewers are pathetic and no one loves them. Then graduates.

Beatani reviews a fan-made timeline of her 10 months streaming. This timelines goes on detail about the different streams and events held in her YouTube channel.

Christmas Gift Review

In the Christmas Gift Review stream, Beatani showed many of the gifts she received from her dads, moms, brothers, sisters, and friends. She loved every gifts and was very excited to show them on stream.

Amongst her gifts, there were plushies, figures of herself and Listener-chan, cookies, Kool-aid, shirts, posters, ingredients for mämmi, a music box, art, letters, and many other things. She also received a physical copy of her community's fan magazine.

Who Is (You) Magazine Review

In her fan magazine review stream, Beatani went over a digital version of the "Who Is (You)?" Fan magazine.

With a total of 70 pages, the fan magazine was made by Beatani's dads, moms, brothers, sisters and friends for her. It was delivered on christmas and featured fan work by the community, such as articles, travel blogs, fan art, comics, and more.

During Bea's stream Baby Beatani Babytani, she revealed her new model. This time it is Babytani, a baby version of herself.

• Babytani wears polar bear paws and a coat above her dress. She likes candy, headpats, and her toy friend Fuwatani.
• Babytani shows interest in singing. She sang Clover♣Club by the end of her stream.
• She likes being called cute and being given money.
  

A Special Gift

On December 29 of 2021, Beatani started a guerilla stream on twitch after a few angry tweets.

After cleaning her room in preparation for new years, Beatani noticed there was a big box she didn't open. Turns outs she received an interesting gift and decided to show dads what it is about.

Beatani read the note in which 2 dads are credited for this gift, but the real sender framed those 2 dads and revealed his identity by accident. Inside of the box the sender shipped to her by placing these products in her Amazon wishlist, were 3 sexual toys of different sizes. The biggest one being 43cm long. Beatani showed her frustration at these gifts and states she has to get rid of them somehow.

Later she proceeded to maul the sender on stream and off-stream.

New Year 24h Endurance Stream

Before the new year 2022 in Japan, Beatani started a 24h endurance to celebrate the new year all around the world with her viewers. She mainly wanted a 24h stream because there were viewers who wouldn't be able to catch the stream live if she only did it for a few hours on her timezone.

Beatani prepared a list of tasks for this stream, also prepared alcohol and food, and the challenge of not falling asleep (she did fall asleep for about 1h before the start of the 3rd part of this stream)

Many activities involved the viewers, such as reading their progress in 2021, making and playing a sugoroku (japanese board game) together, reading the viewers' 2022 resolutions, participating in a Minecraft 初詣 (Hatsumōde: First shrine visit of the year), etc.

• Beatani wrote her kakizome (first writting of the year) and selected 3 of them. ("Family", "Hokkaido Bus Tour Mass Suicide Incident", and "Escapism")

• Bea ate cheap soba during the endurance (Maruchan - Midori No Tanuki Instant Soba) and mochi (Isobeyaki).
• By the time the karaoke segment started, Beatani was too drunk to remember the lyrics of some songs and sing these songs properly. She went on a cynical rambling about trust and money in the middle of the karaoke.
• In the third part, recurrent characters appeared, such as Babytani an Listener-chan, but it also had the first appearances of 2 "new" characters during the part 3 of the endurance, Zygotani and Spermtani.

While playing Slither.io during her 24h New Years endurance stream, Babytani wanted to grow bigger in game and also grow bigger and older herself. Her game skills were not good enough for this and she kept losing, making her cry like a baby and eventually getting younger because of it, turning into a zygote. The chain of events repeated, as she was not doing any better at the game, and eventually turned into a sperm cell.

Maid Kun stream

Shortly after her New Years stream, on Jan 4th, 2022, Beatani made a stream she has been planning "[Buy fake love for money] Rented a maid with my New Year's allowance". In this stream, Beatani interviewed a crossdressing maid from a japanese maid cafe after failing to get in touch with a maid girl from a normal maid cafe. It was a surprise for the viewers since they didn't know about it yet.

1st Annibearsary

Chihiro.

Beatani celebrated her 1st Annibearsary on February 13th. Beatani played in VR for her viewers and made a quiz "Who is You?" where the viewers had to guess what she was imitating. Chihiro also showed up in this stream.

Beatani had a VRchat stream titled "[2022/02/22] 🐱SUPER CAT DAY🐱[Running in VRChat]" in which she ran around in VRchat using cute avatars like Niko from the game OneShot, a low poly catgirl, or a two legged cat.

In the stream "[2022/02/22 SUPER CAT DAY] Let's try to record a song in 1 hour" (which continued in this one after the song was made) beatani tried to sing and compose a cover of the song used for the commercials of Ciao Churu.

She later uploaded a video with the song titled "brainwashing"

In the stream "[True GFE] Risuna's Chocolate Party!", Beatani showed the chocolate Risunas/her viewers made for Valentine's Day.

1 year of english streams

On March 7th, Beatani celebrated in a stream "[zatsudan] It's been a year since I started stream in English!" after being one year since she started streaming in english. She celebrated by eating cake. She also explained what her issue "Dirty dog" was about, which made her take a long break from streaming and almost stop entirely.

Beatani lore VN series

On March 31st, Beatani's channel streamed the first chapter of what would be a series of visual novel streams that Chihiro made herself to expand on the channel lore. They're presented as "Cases" and generally explain the beginnings of Beatani's vtubing project while reminiscing about past friends, childhood experiences, thoughts, an army of internet bears, etc.

They seem to be mainly inspired in the MYST game, and at certain points, her viewers can make choices by using a poll made in the stream chat.

Merch review

In the "[MERCH REVIEW] dadchama isn't lame I believe" stream, Beatani showed her viewers submissions for a merch review stream.

There were many entries for this stream, but as always, there is one last shocking entry from one of her viewers.

Beatani's birtday party

Beatani celebrated her 26th birtday with the stream "dadchama~ do you want to eat cake made by Bea? thanks!" where she showed how she made a cake and she listened to songs her viewers sang for her.

Beatani also read the birthday messages that her viewers sent her. Additionally, she received a fan game that she played in the following stream "BEATANI AND RISUNA VN".

She announced that after the birthday and fangame streams, she will be on hiatus.

Hiatus

Beatani's hiatus lasted for months, and she didn't stream from May 11, 2022 to Jul 23, 2022, when she made the stream "I HACKED BEATANI". Nonetheless, she said she needs more time and the next stream after that would be on Aug 6, 2022 "My house has been taken over by ants" where she explains how her house has been taken over by ants that she can't get rid of, so she proceeded to live with them. Beatani's hiatus ended after that stream.

Last stream announcement

In november 8th, after the final vn chapter and during the ばよえ～ん stream, Beatani announced the end of her vtubing project.

The objective of Beatani project was to find her answer to the question "What is a Vtuber?" and she has achived that goal. Beatani then explained that she is not someone who normally enjoys watching streams, so her interest is not in making them, because she prefers uploading videos which take a lot of time. She has also stated in the past that she wouldn't make an announcement and would stop uploading eventually, but after seeing her viewers always wait for her, she wanted to give them a proper goodbye and to have one last special moment with them.

In her community post announcement, she explanined what she will do from there on and answered a few questions, like "Do you have plans to become a corporate Vtuber?", "If you can, please don't quit! Or better yet, just update us from time to time! I'll wait!" and " I'm worried about whether Bea will live happily ever after, please message me every now and then!"

Before her last stream, she had a last Karaoke [karaoke/歌枠] I'll sing the songs I sang before where she sang and played the guitar (out of tune and with one broken string)

Her last stream, titled "what can I do!??!!??!" consisted in Beatani dancing for a bit with broken VR equipment, asking dads to not get bone lenghtening surgery, and reading the goodbye messages her community made for her.

Terminology

The following is a list of terms coined by the community, or uncommon Japanese terms outside of the English-speaking community that are used in streams.

Oil Balon

Refers to the highest tier of memberships for her YouTube channel. Also term that stems from Beatani misspelling the name of what should have been the Oil Baron membership tier. She has occasionally mentioned that this membership tier was simply meant to be a joke, and that she does not think it's a good idea to join this membership tier.

Gray / Green

Gray is a euphemism for chatters that are not members of any tier of her YouTube channel. It references the green and gray colors that are displayed in YouTube chat's usernames to distinguish between members and non-members of her channel.

Oil Baron
