Finana Ryugu (フィナーナ 竜宮) is a female English Virtual YouTuber affiliated with NIJISANJI EN's first wave "LazuLight", alongside Pomu Rainpuff and Elira Pendora.

A mermaid who spends her time with tropical fish in the sea of coral reefs.
Has a heart as clear and pure as the calm and beautiful sea.[4]

Personality[]

Finana is a friendly, soft-spoken girl with a bold personality that tends to throws off her viewers and other VTubers alike. Often unfiltered, her stories range from mischievous to very intimate and despite prefacing them with "maybe I shouldn't say it", she often does so anyways.

However, she is a very kind and caring person to both her fellow NIJISANJI EN members and viewers. Feesh is a hardworking streamer with long (almost daily) streams and superchat readings. She immerses herself very much in the stories of the games she plays and often reacts with enthusiasm when games have "banger" soundtracks.

Fina can draw, sing, and voice act very proficiently. On top of that she has solid gaming skills, especially when it comes to rhythm games. Off-stream she usually spends her time interacting with people on Twitter, doing dailies for several gacha games, hanging out in the stream chats of other members, or raiding in her favorite game: Final Fantasy XIV.

Appearance[]

She has long cerulean hair with a purple crown and lilac flowers above her ears, which are blue mermaid fins. She has light purple eyes and a sailor-like dress with 'scales' and a 'belt' made with various sea shell. She has blue scale markings on her neck and ankles.

Her second costume consists of, a white and blue-green kimono with a fish-patterned obi, a skintight undergarment, and thigh highs. She sports a shorter hairstyle with buns in place of flowers and a smaller tiara.

For her third outfit she wears a black techwear jacket with the word "FEESH" on one strap, a purple collared crop top, and black waist-high tights with a fishnet. She carries a water bottle containing a purple fish skeleton. Her hair is a slightly darker green to match her outfit's color scheme and has indigo accents. She also has two new hairstyles, ponytail and short-haired. On this outfit, Finana has a more pronounced chest and a set of pointy, shark-like teeth.

Background[]

On 30 November 2020, NIJISANJI opened their first auditions for English-speaking countries, with the audition period lasting until 15 December.[5] YouTube channels for NIJISANJI EN's first wave of Livers were created on 21 April 2021, and their Twitter accounts were created in May 2021.

On 12 May 2021, NIJISANJI's official English Twitter announced the upcoming debut of NIJISANJI EN's first wave, LazuLight, releasing a teaser with the new Livers' designs and voices.[6][7] Their Twitter and YouTube accounts were also made public at this time.

Debut[]

LazuLight began their activities on 16 May 2021[TZ] as part of a special debut program on the NIJISANJI World channel hosted by Hana Macchia and Bonnivier Pranaja. Finana was scheduled to debut third, but she experienced technical difficulties and was unable to hold her debut stream as planned, which caused the hashtag #FreeFinana to trend in the United States. Afterwards, LazuLight appeared on the main channel, where each member received a piece of the moon from Staff-san.[8] After the debut program, LazuLight released their first original song, Diamond City Lights. This song was composed by Mafumafu, and the lyrics were written by Nelson Babin-Coy and Hoshikawa Sara.[9] Finana later held a proper debut stream on 18 May 2021.

2021[]

On 21 May, it was announced that Finana would be the vocalist for the English version of "Virtual Strike", produced by TeddyLoid and the third song in NIJISANJI's music project, "PALETTE", made for NIJISANJI's third anniversary.[10] The song became available on various streaming services on 11 June.[11]

On 15 June, she reached 100,000 subscribers on YouTube.[12]

On 28 June, she participated in a Garry's Mod collab with Zentreya, Haruka Karibu, Scarra, Artemis of the Blue, Bao, and Vienna. This marked the EN branch's first collab outside of NIJISANJI.

On 18 July, LazuLight's debut voice packs went on sale, with custom voice packs limited to the first 100 purchases.

On 25 August, she opened her Youtube channel's membership, becoming the first member of NIJISANJI EN to do so.[13] By the end of her stream, over 1,000 viewers had joined her membership.

On 19 November, she celebrated reaching 200,000 subscribers on Youtube with her first proper karaoke stream.

On 19 December, Finana's "First Step Goods" merchandise and Christmas 2021 voice pack went up for sale.

On 27 December, Finana's Twitter account reached 150,000 followers.[14]

2022[]

On 22 January, LazuLight announced in a collab that on 29 January, they would get new costumes.[15] They made the Twitter hashtag "#LazuDrip" so that fans could send their predictions for the outfits.[16][17] Finana's hashtag for impressions of her new outfit was #FeeshDrip.

On 29 January, Finana revealed her new outfit, a white and blue-green kimono with a fish-patterned obi, a skintight undergarment, and thigh highs. She sports a shorter hairstyle with buns in place of flowers and a smaller tiara.[18] Shortly after her outfit reveal, Finana premiered her first original song "TSUNAMI", produced and writen by kira.[19] Later, new merchandise went up for sale to celebrate LazuLight's new outfits.[20] TSUNAMI reached 1 million views on 14 March.[21]

On 15 March, Finana's "White Day 2022" voice pack went up for sale.

On 24 March, Finana revealed a sub twitter account for liking and retweeting her NSFW art. She also made her first tweet[22] and a tweet on her main account to publicize this new account.[23]

On 14 April, Finana reached 300,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.[24]

On 22 April, Finana's "Sakura Bloom 2022" voice pack went up for sale.[25]

On 9 May (EDT), Finana appeared on Projekt Melody's Lewdcast Podcast.[26]

On 17 May, LazuLight's 1st Anniversary goods went up for sale. Merchandise included acrylic stands, snapshot cards, badges, file folders, NIJIPuppets, and T-shirts designed by LazuLight. Finana's T-shirt featured a closeup of her eyes.[27]

On 21 June, Finana's 2022 birthday goods and voice went up for sale.

On 24 July, Finana reached 400,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.[28]

On 27 July, Finana reached 400,000 followers on her Twitter account.[29]

On 29 July, Finana's "Ocean Breeze Voice 2022" voice pack went up for sale.

On 6 August, NIJISANJI announced that Finana would appear in a special 3D showcase on Day 2 of NijiFes 2022 alongside Elira, Pomu, and Hana Macchia.[30]

On 31 August, Finana's "Summer Vacation 2022" voice pack went up for sale. She was featured in the artwork for this series.[31]

On 29 September, NIJISANJI announced that Finana would be unable to attend NijiFes 2022 due to "unforseen circumstances."[32]

On 13 October, Finana's "Halloween 2022" voice pack went up for sale.[33]

On 1 November, Finana's "November Seasonal Voice 2022" voice pack went up for sale.

On 24 November, Finana's "Thanksgiving" goods went up for sale. Merchandise included mug candles, acrylic stands, badges, wooden keychains, and lap blankets.

2023[]

On 6 January, NIJISANJI EN's official Twitter announced that LazuLight would be holding their 3D reveal streams, with Finana's 3D reveal to be held on 20 January.[34][35]

On 20 January, Finana held her 3D debut stream, which featured a special medley of remixed NIJISANJI EN debut songs. The remixes were arranged by dj-Jo.[36]

On 7 February, Finana's "Valentine's Day 2023" goods and voice pack went up for sale. In addition to typical goods such as acrylic stands, snapshot cards, and badges, merchandise also included personalized jewelry for each of the four featured Livers, with Finana's accessory being a silver ring.[37]

On 18 February, Finana revealed her third outfit with the hashtag #FeeshWear. She wears a black techwear jacket with the word "FEESH" on one strap, a purple collared crop top, and black waist-high tights with a fishnet. On 11 May, "LazuLight 2nd Anniversary" goods went up for sale. In addition to acrylic stands, snapshot cards, and hologram badges, merchandise included NIJI-NUI plushies, a music box, and in Finana's case, a seashell-shaped pouch. "NIJISANJI EN 2nd Anniversary" goods also went up for sale, including a "#FamElira" rubber keychain, a LazuLight-colored sling bag, and a Finana-themed solid perfume with cassis, lemon, and floral aromas.[38]

2024[]

On 12 September, Finana and Millie Parfait released their original song, "Fly Away", as part of the NIJISANJI EN project: ENcounter.

  • On 24 June, NIJISANJI's English Twitter account announced that every LazuLight member would appear in "Anime Expo Lite 2021."[39]
  • On 1 July, Otakuthon Twitter account announced that every LazuLight member would appear in "Otakuthon At Home 2021" as guests.[40]
  • On 15 September, all members of LazuLight and OBSYDIA participated in the "Meltdown" Jackbox game show on the official NIJISANJI EN channel.[41]
  • On 22 November, all members of LazuLight, OBSYDIA, and Ethyria participated in the "Ready! Get Set! Clash!" Mario Kart game show on the official NIJISANJI EN channel, in which Finana was crowned the winner.
  • On 28 November, all members of LazuLight participated in the "VTubers Have No Borders 2021" music festival hosted by Overidea.[42]

2022[]

  • On 1 January, OffKai Expo's Twitter account announced that every LazuLight member would appear in "OffKai Expo" as guests.[43] LazuLight held their OffKai Expo panel on 29 April, which was later uploaded to YouTube on 16 August.[44]
  • On 14 February, Finana participated in the "NIJIAnswer" game show on the official NIJISANJI EN channel alongside Rosemi Lovelock and Ike Eveland as "Team Introverts."[45]
  • On 23 November, WIXOSS TCG's official Twitter revealed that Finana would be featured in the upcoming "NIJISANJI DIVA" collaboration pack. Finana's card art was revealed on 12 December, and the collaboration pack was released on 24 December.[46][47]

2023[]

  • On 15 January, LazuLight and Ethyria attended ANIME Impulse LA 2023 as guests, where they held meet & greet sessions and a live concert designated #HOPCONcert.[48][49][50]
  • On 7 February, Finana announced that she would appear as a special guest at Honkai Impact 3rd's special anniversary program on 11 February.[51]
  • On 25 April, NijiGen Expo's Twitter announced that Finana, alongside Pomu, Elira, Enna, and Millie would be holding a concert at NijiGen Expo on July 15. Titled "The Beginning of NIJI GENERATION", this concert was touted as NIJISANJI EN's first concert in SEA.[52][53]
  • On 25 May, Anime Expo's official Twitter announced that LazuLight would be holding a panel at Anime Expo 2023 on 2 July, consisting of a talk show and a special 3D performance.[54]

  • She once had an embarrassing moment where she had ordered an NSFW "egg-shaped object" online and her father opened the package.[59] The egg became a recurring joke in her streams and whenever Finana censors something during streaming, she brings up a doodle of her retelling of the story.
  • Her NSFW tag had to be changed twice (from #OnlyFins to #NSFinW to #Ryugasm) due to people spamming unrelated content in her tags.
  • On phone keyboards, Finana usually autocorrects to "Finance". Whenever she uses her lower-pitched voice on some streams, Ryuguards dubbed this persona to be "Finance Ryugu".
  • Her first avatar is incapable of making a sad face. As a result, even when she is actually sad, her avatar is still smiling. [60]
  • Her favorite type of man is "bad boy with a heart of gold".[61]
  • She went through a "Zero Two" phase, and owns a dakimakura of her.
  • During one stream she stated her liking in squeezing things to relieve stress or distract herself from nervousness.
    • It’s on this same topic she claimed to occasionally grope her breasts like stress balls during streams, mostly when watching animated CGs or videos. Since then, viewers in the chat would use “stress balls” to refer to breasts.
  • During the first round of NIJISANJI EN auditions, Finana gave advice to a fellow auditionee who she later learned was Luca Kaneshiro.[62]
