Trivia[]

Identity[]

  • Mari's full name Gangi Mari (眼疑まり) is a play on words that sounds like the Japanese adjective for "a euphoric, drugged look" (ガンギマリ, gangimari?).
  • She is a nurse VTuber who is often depicted with syringes, and combined with etymology trivia about her name, gives her character an overall drug-themed image.

Miscellaneous[]

  • She can only understand simple English, which she is studying according to her Twitch bio.[18]
  • She is also good at ear-licking ASMR according to her Twitch bio.[18]
  • Her actual ASMR audio doesn't cross the line into R18 territory, which is key to her channel's survival on YouTube. Much of her ASMR content has also been unlisted from public view.
    • ASMR content that crosses the line is paid content on her Ci-en page[2] and other channels outside of YouTube.
  • On 6 November 2024, she did a (now unlisted) stream[19] where she claimed to be trying and tasting hemp-derived CBD gummies, an activity that sounds quite befitting of her name. The next day on 7 November, she uploaded a shorter video from this stream.[20][notes 3][21]

Live chat etiquette[]

  • I may take legal action against people who conduct harmful behavior against me.

Notes[]

  1. This information is stated on an archived version of her channel bio.
  2. Given that all of her socials and other channels appear to have been deleted/privated except for her YouTube channel, it is possible that she has recently retired, if not on indefinite hiatus. An archived version of her Ci-en page exists from April 2025.
  3. It should be noted that Japan has an extremely strict policy regarding drugs in general and products containing cannabinoids like THC in particular, but CBD is apparently unregulated and her video falls under this gray area.
