Hana Macchia (ハナ・マキア) is a female Virtual Liver affiliated with NIJISANJI. She is a founding member of the now-consolidated NIJISANJI ID branch along with Taka Radjiman and ZEA Cornelia, known together as 3SetBBQ (3セットBBQ, San-SetBBQ).

I'm a design major who debuted to create a safe space for people to feel comfortable, entertained, and not alone. Hana will always accompany you and encourage you in the afternoon and evening. She has medium length brown hair with blue eyes and a flower hairpin accessory. She has a reddish blazer with a bright teal and light yellow patterned neck scarf.
Personality[]
Hana is a kind person who smiles easily. She has a great sense of curiosity and always eager to try new things. For example, during a Minecraft stream with Taka and ZEA, she witnessed Taka showing off his "debus" skills by bathing in lava without dying. She kept trying to follow suit, but in the end Taka put a stop to it.[4]

Hana created her YouTube account on 23 August and made her debut on 13 September 2019, alongside Taka Radjiman and ZEA Cornelia as the first wave of NIJISANJI ID. The three are collectively known as 3SetBBQ (3セットBBQ, San-SetBBQ).
2019[]
On 26 September, she reached 10,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.
On 17 October, she reached 20,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.

On 6 January, she reached 200,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel.[14]
On 28 February, Hana announced on her Twitter account that her 2D model would be updated to the 2.0 version.[15]
On 5 March, Hana along with the rest of 3SetBBQ, had their 2D models updated to version 2.0.[16]
On 31 March, Hana debuted her alternative version of her original model.[17]
On 5 April, NIJISANJI ID teased a music project called "Virtual on Voyage" was announced, seemingly involving Hana.[18] They divulged more details on 11 April, revealing Hana as a vocalist for the track "ODD-Venture" along with Reza Avanluna and Layla Alstroemeria, with the song being produced by heiakim and illustrated by soyatu.[19]
On 15 May, the ODD-Venture single was released.[20]
On 16 May, she and Bonnivier Pranaja were the MCs for a special debut program for the NIJISANJI EN group, LazuLight, where they commentated on the members' each debut stream and their new song.[21]
On 13 September, Hana announced on her Twitter account that her second 2D costume would be updated to the 2.0 version.[22]
On 15 September, Hana's second 2D costume was updated to the 2.0 version.[23]
2022[]
On 15 April, along with the merger of NIJISANJI ID and NIJISANJI KR into the main branch, Hana is now officially affiliated with NIJISANJI.[24]
On 6 August, it was announced that Hana Macchia would appear for the first time with her 3D model alongside Pomu Rainpuff, Elira Pendora and Finana Ryugu on a segment in NijiFes 2022.
On 2 October, Hana showcased her 3D model alongside Elira Pendora in "Daylight Dimension Dive" on Day 2 of NijiFes 2022. During this segment, Hana also announced her official 3D reveal stream on 21 October. However, on 14 October, her 3D reveal was postponed due to illness.[25]
On 9 December, Hana's 3D reveal was rescheduled for 16 December. However, on 14 December, her 3D reveal was postponed again due to international circumstances.[26]
2023[]
On 18 January, NIJISANJI announced on Twitter that 30 new livers (from the ex-ID and ex-KR waves, and several JP livers) were added to the Welcome Goods line-up at the NIJISANJI Official Shop.
On 30 April, Hana debuted her 3D model.

- She participated in an exhibition event Creator Super Fest (CSF) Jakarta, back in 26-27 October 2019 with Taka and ZEA under the name "NIJISANJI ID."
- On 26 June 2021, NIJISANJI's Indonesian Twitter account announced that every 3SetBBQ member would appear at the grand launching of Xiaomi Poco M3 Pro 5G as guests.[27]
- On 3 July 2022, she, alongside Shu Yamino and Elira Pendora, participated in the NIJISANJI Mahjong Cup team competition, "Kachou Fugetsu Sen", on the official NIJISANJI channel as team BFP of Block B.[28]
Fans[]
- Her fans are called "Nijisenja". It comes from the words "NIJISANJI" and "Senja." Senja means "dusk" in Indonesian. "Senja" in Indonesian is also used as a slang to refer to "lansia" (older/elderly people).

- Hana is a half Japanese-half American descent and currently lives in Indonesia so she is trilingual (Indonesian, English, and Japanese). She mentioned she has a trouble understanding Kanji and some of the nuances of the English language, but overall, she still speaks all three languages pretty well.
- She has invited her real life father to some of her livestreams, with Hana herself illustrating his appearance. Harry, or "Papa Macchia", has developed a following all his own, and he's often referred to as the father of Hana's chat.
- During her first "Getting Over It" stream, she was making various noises when jumping and trying to concentrate. After a string or noises like "uh", "pu" and "ue", she ended up saying "apue". The chat picked the nonsensical word, and later, "apue" became Hana's most famous trademark.
- She is good at drawing.
- She is bad at horror games and avoids them.
- She loves coffee and it often keeps her up late.
- Thanks to her father, Hana is a fan of the DOOM series. Because of his obsessive focus on gaming when she was younger, she initially hated gaming, believing that her father liked video games more than herself.
- At around the 59-minute mark of Hana’s 20 March 2020 livestream of DOOM Eternal, the main composer for both DOOM 2016 and DOOM Eternal, Mick Gordon, came to the livestream and watched her play the game. Not having known of Hana (and probably the existence of vtubers in general) before, he wrote in the chat “wtf am I watching?” Hana noticed and responded to his comment, to which she was shocked by Mick’s sudden appearance.
- Even though her surname is Macchia and is sometimes misinterpreted, she hates anything related to matcha.
- She maintains a good relationship with NIJISANJI JP members such as Sukoya Kana and Machita Chima.
- She has a deep-manly voice that act like her alter ego, called "Handoko" and sometimes uses it in some of her livestreams or when Hana is "away".
- She has admitted to taking inspiration from Twitch streamers in her streaming style, particularly Vinny from Vinesauce.
- She is good friend with Amano Pikamee, a fellow half-Japanese half-American VTuber from VOMS Project.
- She has mentioned since her debut stream that her mother passed away when she was very young, but in Japanese. Thus, she still has to inform in English from time to time whenever it is brought up.
- Hana finds the word "plow" hilarious and will giggle uncontrollably whenever it is said out loud.
- She hates vegetables, especially broccoli. Her fans know this fact and "pursue" her to eat vegetables.
- She is one of the most popular members of foreign NIJISANJI branches, having quickly gained popularity in Japanese VTuber community after multiple translated clips from her streams went viral on both YouTube and Nicovideo.
- She has mentioned that LilyPichu is one of her greatest inspirations for streaming, in which they finally had an actual collab together on 18 August 2021. However, Hana still keeps this fact a secret from LilyPichu as she is too embarrassed.
