Harumi Minnie, commonly referred to as Haru, is a female Singaporean VTuber and manager, and is currently the owner of BUNBUNBIE STUDIOS, an independent talent management studio.

Personality[]

Harumi Minnie is a streamer that has a personality that can change drastically based on the occasion. Most of the time, she is seen as a high pitched, cheeky and clueless brat, but is able to swap to a soothing deep voice when singing. Many of her viewers are often shocked by the sudden change in vocal tone, and say that it keeps them on their toes.

Despite her charming and confident presence that she presents on stream, she recounts her times where she first started streaming, and was too scared to speak on her own stream.

She maintains a "family-friendly" image for the most part, but accidentally swears occasionally. She is quite unhinged and filterless, but hides it extremely well with innocent jokes and pretending as if she doesn't understand weird topics.

Appearance[]

Harumi Minnie switches between her 2D Models, but mainly uses her Bunny mode and her Bunnygirl model. Harumi Minnie is a bunny girl with light gold hair, and initially had long curly hair with pink highlights, but cut her hair short after returning from her hiatus.

A trademark accesory of hers are the Two X clips on the right side of her head, and the heart clip on the left side of her head, which holds up a strand of pink hair. In the art she draws, this placement of the clips is often inverted, as evident of her dyslexia.

When she first returned to streaming after her hiatus, she was observed to use a black haired androgynous looking model, which was revealed to be her rigger's model. As they were close friends, she helped to test his model on her streaming program, but continued to use it for a period of time to intentionally confuse her viewers.

History[]

Early history[]

Prior to becoming a streamer, Harumi often hung out in Discord with her friends and played Final Fantasy XIV almost every day. One day, her friends jokingly challenged her to become a streamer, to which she replied, "Bet, no balls!". Thus began her streaming journey.

Harumi Minnie was an artist by day, and was observed to make all her streaming assets for most of her streams, including her reactive PNGs, overlays and Live2D model art.

2022[]

On 4 May, Harumi Minnie started streaming as an independent VTuber on Twitch.[4]

On 12 May, Harumi Minnie reached affiliate status on Twitch.

In the month of May, Harumi Minnie revealed that she was a Singaporean streamer by joining the SGVTubers group.

On 3 August, she announced her first endurance subathon, as part of her birthday celebration.

On 15 December, she announced that she was going on an unofficial hiatus for undisclosed reasons, and her streaming activities were thus halted.

2023[]

Harumi Minnie maintained her presence on X (Formally Twitter) during her hiatus and focused more on establishing her VArtist branding. During this period, she was observed shitposting and drawing fanart of other VTubers that she admired. She also shared her weight loss journey with her community, and motivated a lot of viewers to "get buff" like she was about to.

2024[]

On 20 March, Harumi Minnie returned to Twitch and continued streaming as an independent VTuber.

Shortly after, she was scouted as a talent by V-SEA, a southeast asian VTuber agency.

On 3 May, Harumi Minnie debuted as part of V-SEA Gen 0. She continued to stream under the same alias.

On 19 June 2024, Harumi Minnie announced she will leave V-SEA and continuing her activities as an independent VTuber.[5]

Harumi Minnie is close to Ho0m4n, an independent VTuber that she had apparently met when she first started streaming. They would stay friends for years, and he helped to motivate her to return to streaming when she was too scared to do so. She has on many occasions, claimed him to be her best friend. Their close relationship is also observed through Ho0m4n being her rigger for her 1.0, despite her being able to rig her own model. She has mentioned on stream prior that she let Ho0m4n work on her model as he mentioned that he wanted to become proficient at rigging and needed experience.

Harumi Minnie has 4 moderators as of 23th May 2024, Ho0m4n, Amelia_Kaho, CeresSculd and Reo. She has mentioned that she treats her moderators as her close family. Two of the mods, Ho0m4n and Reo, were along side her when she first started her streaming journey.

She has collabed with Tatsuhiko Hiroki, a VTuber from the OshiLink agency, and has proclaimed that she grew up reading the fanfiction that Hiroki wrote. It was not disclosed what fanfiction it was.

Harumi Minnie mostly streams with a Live2D Model. She is a variety streamer, and is observed to change categories according to her mood. Some categories included Art, FPS games, Survival games, Karaoke, Just chatting and random "please help me with homework" streams.

  • Harumi Minnie has mentioned that her IRL self is 170cm / 5'7".
  • She leads a very healthy lifestyle: she loves gymming and bouldering.
  • She loves horror games, and does not get scared easily. She has been seen chasing after ghosts in Phasmophobia, and loudly exclaiming "Wow, she's pretty!" to many viewer's confusion.
  • Harumi Minnie has mentioned multiple times that her favourite anime are Akatsuki No Yona (Yona of the Dawn) and Ghost Hunt.
  • Harumi Minnie's favourite food is cheese, and anything sweet.

Miscellaneous[]

  • In the month of August, she accidentally spouted unhinged words that were highly contrary to her innocent appearance. She immediately blamed her words on Nyarumi, an alter ego. Her chat caught on to the joke immediately, and demanded for Nyarumi to return back to streams. Unwillingly, she drew Nyarumi (Harumi Minnie but as a cat) and bid farewell to Nyarumi, hoping that it was enough to hide that "dark period".
  • Harumi Minnie has also openly admitted that she had Selective Mutism as a child, and has a hard time speaking or replying in situations where she wasn't comfortable.
  • She is extremely bad at most games, and is seen fumbling and confused at the basic controls.
  • She claims to have ADHD, due to her inability to keep focus on one activity, and her random streams may be attributed to that. On a bad day, she is seen changing categories up to 5 times.
  • She went to art college, where she obtained many of her artistic skills, which she still uses to draw commissions for other VTubers.
  • Harumi Minnie has on occasions, revealed her face through selfies on her X (formally Twitter). She has expressed that she feels no need to hide how she looks as she cosplays outside of VTubing, and has also mentioned that she is not against the idea of being a hybrid streamer (Someone who is both IRL and a VTuber).
