Hinotori Mera (火乃鳥めら) is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber formerly affiliated with Propro Production, as part of its third generation of VTubers.

Personality[]
Mera has an enthusiastic, do-things-in-one-shot type of personality. She does things at her own pace and has a tendency to pull others into keeping up with her. She's fond of teasing her seniors, but she's also weak to their comebacks.
She's the adventurous type who is fond of collaborations and likes to try a lot of things, but she also has a fickle side to her where she quickly gets bored of something she picked up and abandons it. Being aware of this quirk of hers, she lives by the saying "Don't chase those who leave, and don't reject those who show up."
Appearance[]
Mera is a phoenix girl who has long, bright orange hair that ends in flared red tips. Her eyes have fiery orange irises. She has a long and feathery, reddish-orange phoenix's tail.[1]
On her original design, she wears a red and white double flower hair accessory on the left side of her hair, and on her body she wears a red and white miko inspired dress. It has a kimono-style collar but leaves her shoulders exposed. The dress is mainly white outside and red beneath on the upper half, with red stitching, and it's red on the midsection up to her skirt, which has a brown flower-patterned layer underneath. Her arms are covered by long white sleeves with a flowing red fabric layer beneath. There's a big white and brown ribbon adorning her waist. On her legs are a pair of thigh-high knee socks with red stitching on top, and a pair of red platform geta on her feet.

2022[]
On 28 January, Mera held her debut on YouTube.[1]
On 29 July, she had her first birthday stream.[3] She showed off pictures of her sealing stamps and the colored candle wax seals she made using the stamps. She also revealed birthday goods featuring a new illustration from her character designer TAYA.
2023[]
On 28 January, Mera celebrated her first anniversary, where she rewatched key moments from her previous streams with her viewers.[4] She rewatched some of her streams at 2x speed for fun.
On 29 July, she had her second birthday stream.[5] On the same day, she premiered her collaboration with the Propro Boing Girls (Yumesaki Mia, Amanohoshi Chiroru, Koinoya Mai, Sakuya Azusa, Shirose Aoi, Shiduki Sena, Kaduki Mikuru, Umituki Yuru, Ikoi Momoa, Ryoki Chaki, Amami Kotono and Nekomiya Fuyu), a cover of the song Chichi o Moge (チチをもげ) by the character Parco Folgore from the anime Zatch Bell!.
On 1 March, Propro Production underwent restructuring: all members will be divided into three groups based on their characteristics instead of debut generations.[6] Mera was moved from Propro Gen 3 to the new Propro Gamers (プロプロゲーマーズ) group.
2024[]
On 28 January, Mera celebrated her second anniversary. She unveiled her 2.0 model and revealed a new hairstyle.[7]
On 1 April, Propro announced that all of its talents with the exception of Koinoya Mai, will graduate from the agency. Kaduki Mikuru, Fuuka Rin, Hoshino Miyako and Sakura Nagomi will become independent on 26 April, while Mera and Ikoi Momoa will become independent at the end of June. On the other hand, Nekomiya Fuyu, Amanohoshi Chiroru, Shirose Aoi, and Sakuya Azusa will retire.[8]
On 21 April, all the remaining members of Propro held a graduation ceremony collaboration stream on Mera's channel.[9] On the same day, she uploaded the collaboration MV sung by everyone from the ceremony - Amanohoshi Chiroru and Kaduki Mikuru (Gen 1), Koinoya Mai, Shirose Aoi, Sakuya Azusa and Ikoi Momoa (Gen 2) and Fuuka Rin, Hoshino Miyako, Sakura Nagomi and Nekomiya Fuyu (Gen 4), their cover of Tabidachi no Hi ni (旅たちの日に, On the day of departure), a popular Japanese school graduation song, on her channel.
On 29 July, she had her third birthday stream. She revealed new birthday merch featuring a new illustration by TAYA.[10]
On 30 September, she did her first ASMR stream, using her new 3Dio binaural mic.[11]
2025[]
On 28 January, Mera celebrated her third anniversary. She did karaoke and also announced new original merchandise: a Hinotori Mera stuffed toy, among others such as her postcards.[12]
