Hirano Kokoro (also more commonly known as Roro) is an independent female English-speaking ice hockey VTuber. Roro loves to have fun, interactive streams where she chats with her viewers and plays a multitude of games, mainly simulators. She also dabbles into special scripted ASMR streams and has plans to expand her repertoire by doing covers and cooking streams in the near future.

Appearance[]

Her design has her base in her love for ice hockey, most notably in her hockey stick bag (If a viewer/chatter implies the hockey stick bag is anything else, she will whack you with it). She also sports ice skates and a baggy off shoulder hockey jersey. Her design includes a multitude of hair clips, including one "ro2" clip as well as a few bandages plastered on her face and legs for how clumsy she is. She has purple-pink hair with white streaks curled up in twin buns with bangs.

Roro's YouTube channel was created on 27 November 2021, while her Twitter account was created in February 2021.

Pre-Debut[]

Roro had her first test stream on 18 December 2021, but did not officially start streaming until a week later, on 23 December. She forgot to save her first ever VOD, which shortly became made into a meme on reddit.[2]

2022[]

1.0 Debut[]

Roro had her official debut on both Twitch and YouTube on 15 March. She announced on her debut that she will focus on streaming on Twitch only. She revealed that she was 18 (eternally) and that the official 1.0 Fan Name was "Classmates", following her school girl theme.

Hiatus[]

In May 2022, Roro had a soft "hiatus" announcement on her Discord that she would be going on an "adventure." She streamed infrequently, mostly doing zatsu-style streams.

2024[]

The Return of RORO[]

Roro returned on 19 February with a stream titled "Hello, I have an announcement". She explains that her time away on an "adventure" is nearing its end, and she will be making her return to streaming frequently again.

2.0 Debut[]

On 8 June, Roro re-debuted with a 2.0 model. Her debut had a lot of mini skits, from a VN-styled flashback skit, revealing her transition from her 1.0 model to her 2.0 model to a sports-style press conference, to which a commercial break was enforced for a short moment before resumption. The end of her debut featured a photoshoot featuring a special profile shot in the style of collectible ice hockey cards and one final skit (or warning) to her viewers on her hockey stick bag. She also announced that her age has been updated to 21 (eternally).

Birthday Donathon[]

On 8 August, Roro had her first ever donathon[3] in celebration of her 21st birthday.

2025[]

On 6 April, Roro debuted her first alternate hairstyle and announced the release of her official website and a new line of official merchandise.[4]

VTuber Hockey League (VHL)[]

  • On 7 July, Roro hosted her own "VTuber Hockey League", featuring 46 different female Vtubers.[5] All the participants are showcased in a carrd. The league had different interview segments, as well as original performances and song covers by the participants. The league ended with a first Draw, then overtime goal by Team A. The VHL was hosted by Roro, with Lidia Nekozawa as her co-host.

2025[]

  • On 25 January, Roro won the award for "Best VTuber Event" at the 2025 Small VTuber Awards for hosting the VTuber Hockey League.[6]
  • On 16 March, Roro participated in the "VTUBER COOK-OFF!" Overcooked 2 Tournament organized by Remia Aotsuki, as part of "Miroro Team" along with Miki Hitsugi‬. They competed against "Rikiyos" (‪Hiyori Mokami‬ & Riki Poppet‬) in round 1, and against "Parfate" (‪Tokaku〜ん & ‪Usachi Yui‬) in round 2, and also against "Tough Cookies" (‪Chiaki Katsumi & ‪Ayla Yew) in round 3 (semifinals), but lost in a best of 3 games.[7]

  • Languages she can speak: fluent English & Mandarin, conversational Korean, and is currently learning Japanese.
  • Roro’s viewers often joked that there were other items contained inside the hockey bag since her first model, like concealed guns, etc. which led to the "Just A Hockey Stick" skit[1].
  • As revealed in her 2.0 debut, Roro is always 21, unchanging through the years.
  • Roro is teased often on Twitter due to her eating habits of eating microwaved chicken bones.[8]
  • Roro desires a NHL/Ice Hockey team partnership as one of her major goals in the future. Her favourite NHL team is the Colorado Avalanche, and her favourite player is Cale Makar of the Avalanche.
  • Her hair pin of "ro2" is meant to be a reference to ro squared, aka "roro," her nickname, and Roro 2.0, the new version of her model.
