Hoshimiya Choco (星宮ちょこ) is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber, 2.5D idol and cosplayer who debuted in 2022 as an independent. In October 2023, she joined Vlash, a VTuber agency that combines VTubing and Vlogging as content, re-debuting alongside Kagamia Shukuri, Kamiya Neco and Amano Mika as its starting lineup of members.

Profile[]
A cosplayer who hails from Saitama Prefecture.
One day, she suddenly encounters a rabbit named "Milk" who holds strange powers, and learns that she is actually the princess of planet Choco. Through the magical power that was granted to her, she moves seamlessly between 2D and 3D worlds while living freely. She does things at her own pace so much that she sometimes loses sight of herself.[2]

She has a mischievous and laid-back personality. A free spirit who does the things she likes when she wants to, at her own pace.
Appearance[]
Choco has wavy, brown hair arranged in pigtails and eyes with light orange-red irises. As a magical rabbit girl, she has white rabbit ears on her head. She also has a small pair of detached white wings.
For her re-debut outfit, she wears a white, pink and blue short dress. She also has a distinctive giant pair of scissors (almost as tall as she is) that she can toggle at will. She claims that it's not a weapon.[1]

Her original Twitter account was created in August 2013, while her current Twitter account was created in October 2023. Her YouTube channel was created on 23 January 2020.
2022[]
On 12 June, Choco made her VTuber debut on YouTube.[3][Note 1]
2023[]
On 13 January, Choco made an appearance in a "Satou Family Sisters" group collab on Mochizuki Naco's channel.[4]
On 5 July, she did her earliest publicly viewable stream, the first edition of "Choco & Naco's Rabbit Time" talk show with Mochizuki Naco.[5]
On 30 September, she did her last stream before going on hiatus.[6] On the same day, she premiered her cover of "Yowanehaki" by MAISONdes, her last cover as an indie.
On 27 October, Choco re-debuted as a starting member of the VTuber/Vlogger agency Vlash along with Kagamia Shukuri, Kamiya Neco and Amano Mika.[1][Note 2] She premiered her cover of "POP STAR" by Hirai Ken, her first cover as a member of Vlash.
2024[]
On 31 March, Choco did an endurance drinking stream while aiming to get her channel to 10,000 subscribers, taking a drink for each additional subscriber. She started with 9,999 subscribers and ended 3 hours later with 10,099.[7] Afterwards, she posted her 10k milestone commemorative illustration and her handwritten letter to her fans.[8]
On 26 July, she did a countdown stream to midnight to celebrate her birthday.[9]
On 27 July, she celebrated her first birthday stream.[10]
On 27 October, the starting members of Vlash held their 1st Anniversary group collab stream on Shukuri's channel.[11] Participants include Choco, Kagamia Shukuri and Kamiya Neco but not Amano Mika, who was on indefinite hiatus since May of that year.
On 29 October, she celebrated the 1st Anniversary of her re-debut in Vlash and did a Marshmallow Q&A reading on stream.[12]
On 8 December, she debuted her second costume.[13] The design is a white and pastel blue idol outfit beneath an oversized light blue jacket.
2025[]
On 17 July, Choco celebrated her second birthday stream.[14]
On 27 October, she celebrated her 2nd Anniversary as a member of Vlash.[15]
Starting in October, her YouTube channel received a noticeable boost in subscribers, coming from her first-time participation in the MADTOWN GTA event. On 6 October, she reached the 20,000 subscribers milestone.[16]
On 4 November, her YouTube channel reached 30,000 subscribers,[17][18] just as she started her watch party stream reacting to clips of RP married couples from MADTOWN GTA. This stream managed to draw a peak of ~12,000 live viewers,[19] a relatively significant count by her usual standards. That makes it her most popular stream yet, while also gaining her 3,000 more subs by the end of the day.[20]
By the first week of November, she was listed at #4 out of 40 in Vmato!'s Weekly VTuber Subscriber Growth Ranking (for JP VTubers under 100k subs), just behind fellow MADTOWN newcomers Amayo Liz, Mitsuba Eni and Mochizuki Hoguno.[21]
On 13 November, she celebrated her YouTube channel reaching 40,000 subscribers with a commemorative stream.[22]
Events[]
- On 14 June 2024, Choco participated in the "V×Rush!!! in RED° TOKYO TOWER" collaboration event with RED° TOKYO TOWER, a digital theme park in Tokyo Tower, featuring Vlash members and other female streamers as event performers.[23][24]
- From 1 October to 31 October 2025, Choco participated in the MADTOWN GTA event server organized by the Japanese eSports team Crazy Raccoon.[25][26] She worked as a medic and became known for being a hardcore fangirl of the event's many RP couples, particularly RobeAshu, the pairing of Yukoku Roberu and Asumi Sena.[27]

- Choco is the co-host of a recurring talk show on YouTube called "Choco & Naco's Rabbit Time" (ちょこ＆なこのらびっとたいむ！) together with Mochizuki Naco. It has been running since 2023 when Choco was still an indie, now with over 15 episodes as of October 2025.
- As a 2.5D idol and cosplayer who does Vlogging activities, she doesn't mind showing her face on some video thumbnails (partially) and in photos on her Twitter account. However, she isn't fond of fully showing herself in videos.
- She is a big fan of Usada Pekora from hololive.
- As a cosplayer, she once got contacted by Pekora herself with an offer to be the cosplayer in Pekora's 2023 April Fools' video. Choco talks about this experience and how she pondered over whether to accept the offer (she did) in her (now-privated) stream from 2023.[29][30] She also reminisces over this event, in her 26 April 2024 tweet that went viral.[31]
- As a Nousagi (Pekora fan), her room is full of Usada Pekora collectible goods and other merch, which is plainly visible in Pekora's 2023 April Fools' video.[32]
- On 2 August 2025, which is Bunny Day (バニーの日) in Japan, she cosplayed Pekora's "Furi Furi Bunny Dress" outfit.[33]
- She is also a fan of Asumi Sena and VSPO!. During a heartfelt moment with Sena on the last day of MADTOWN, Choco stated that because she liked VSPO!, she was inspired to join her current agency,[27] with Vlash's 2.5D content style being a good fit for her as a cosplayer.
- She wants to participate in a tournament for VALORANT or Apex at least once. As of February 2024, her highest game ranks are: Platinum 2 in VALORANT and Diamond 4 in Apex Legends.[34]
