Personality[]
Rika likes to talk so much that she sometimes talks uncontrollably, especially when playing games that develops in a moment like Mario Kart, but instead of her speech becoming out-of-context or uttering nonsensical figures of speech like Fuwa Minato and Yamagami Karuta, she simply starts to talk in a knee-jerk way.
Aside from anime and video games, Rika also loves to watch a baseball game, which was influenced by her grandfather who used to take her to baseball games when she was younger; she has stated that Orix Buffaloes is her favorite baseball team.
When a stream is starting she greets with "play ball", and when ending a stream she gives a farewell with "game set" (Japanese term for concluding a baseball game, equivalent to "that's a game" in English).
Appearance[]
Rika has medium length, very light, pale orange hair with a single bun on the right side decorated with hairpins and a white bow on her hairbun. She has light teal eyes. Both her ears are pierced, with 7 piercings in her right ear (including an earring with the ◇◆ motif that all of the Idios members share) and one in the left.[8] In her default appearance, she wears a light orange and black jacket decorated with badges. Under the jacket, she wears a black slip dress layered with a light teal overall dress that has a yellow belt with a white cat head shaped buckle and yellow tail accessory. She has one black thigh-high stocking and one calf-length orange tartan sock. She wears a pair of white boots with orange laces and stars filling the heels and soles. Her accessories include a black choker and a pair of connected black garterbelts around her right thigh with a silver cat head shaped buckle. Options:

Rika's second outfit has a cyberpunk theme; it consists of a cropped white hoodie over a transparent cropped shirt and orange bralette, a pair of short black frilled culottes with light orange trim, black garters and garterbelts, mismatched fishnet stockings with the right stocking being longer than the left, and black long boots with teal soles. Her accessories include a head mic, silver chain belt with a bunny charm, and black fingerless gloves. The outfit came with a new hairstyle, which features Rika tying her hair into a hairbun and side ponytail using a hairtie decorated with iridescent cubes. Options:

- Her fanmarks are ⚾ (baseball) and 🧡 (orange heart).
- Her mascot is a white seal with a hair bun similar to Rika's that is decorated with a star, named Azarashii (あざらしぃ).

- Rika shares her character designer, Momoco, with Petra Gurin of NIJISANJI EN, Hakui Koyori of hololive, and And Uge of 774 inc. (as of her December 2023 model update). Coincidentally, Rika's voice even bears a striking resemblance to Koyori's.
Character and Lore[]
- Rika is a salesgirl of beers at a certain ballpark who loves subcultures. She used to enjoy watching anime and playing video games at home during her free time, but one day she started to feel unsatisfied at her life being a repeat of those. As she started searching for some videos on internet, she found "The First VTuber Girls' Lotion Sumo Wrestling Tournament" by Honma Himawari, introducing her to NIJISANJI and making her decide to become a Virtual Liver.[3]
- She initially seemed to be the only member of Idios who ages normally (not including Koshimizu Toru, who stopped counting) as she was 20 years old when she debuted, and stated that she turned 21 on 14 April 2023.[40] However she later recanted this, amending her age to 20.1 - and later 20.2 upon her second birthday as part of NIJISANJI.[1]
Name[]
- Her surname Igarashi is written as 五十嵐, which literally means "fifty storms" but is a Japanese surname thought to originate from the name of the Ikarashi River in Niigata Prefecture.
- Her given name Rika is written as 梨花, meaning "pear blossoms".

- Rika's accessory is a single one of Earrings NBS-2304, which she wears on her right ear.
- Rika has dubbed textless superchats as "Kanta superchats" after a scene from the Studio Ghibli film My Neighbor Totoro where the character Kanta forcefully offers Satsuki and Mei his umbrella, accompanied by Rika and chat saying "ん!"; the phrase also appears in one of her membership emotes.[15]

- She has trypophobia.[51]
