Kaminari Qpi (神成きゅぴ) is a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber. She debuted in July 2020 as a member of Busokanojo, but in September 2020, the agency was dissolved and the remaining members became independent. In January 2021, she joined the Virtual eSports Project to become its first solo member VTuber, later joined by Yakumo Beni.
Introduction videos[]
Profile[]
An energy-drinking chugging gal, with a colorful personality to boot. A kind, but serious soul who never holds anything back.[1]
A beautiful blonde girl who was chosen to be the successor of a certain god of thunder.[2]
Personality[]
She has a colorful and brilliant personality, with a vulnerable "baby gyaru" side to her whenever she's drunk. Being one of VSPO!'s smarter members, she possesses the know-how to help her colleagues behind the scenes with their technical issues, in addition to being notably quick on the uptake in conversations.
Appearance[]
Qpi has the appearance of a tanned gyaru (黒ギャル, kuro gyaru?). She has long blonde hair, eyes with golden orange irises and tanned skin.
On her original Busokanojo design, she wore two orange X-shaped hairclips to the right of her hair and a larger orange X hairclip on the left. She wore a black and orange open jacket with large twin blue lightning bolt designs, on top of a paired top and bottom: a black sports bra and narrow black shorts that had diagonal orange stripes and orange garter bands. This combined with a pair of black-orange-blue gauntlets on her hands gave off an aesthetic reminiscent of an MMA fighter. She had a pair of black boots on her feet with blue lightning adornments on the ankles.
For her second costume, she had a blue lightning piercing across her right ear and on her neck she wore a black choker. On her body, she wore a black open jacket with a twin blue lightning bolts logo, over a white sleeveless front-clasped top that exposes her midriff. She wore a short asymmetrical black skirt and a black belt on the right thigh with a lightning-shaped buckle. On her legs she had ankle-high black lace-up boots. She debuted this new outfit after joining VSPO! in 2021, completely replacing her original Busokanojo design.
This second costume later received a remake in 2024: her hairstyle became wavy twintails, the two orange X-shaped hairclips became black X-shaped hairpins, her lightning-shaped ear piercing's color changed to silver, her choker replaced by a necklace, the blue lightning bolts logo on her jacket became a pin and included a second thundercloud pin, and lastly her asymmetrical black skirt replaced by black hot pants, with noticeable gaps on the sides held together by strings. This remake completely replaces her 2nd costume as her new base/main outfit.
History[]
Background[]
Prior to becoming a VTuber, Qpi was a staff member working for the streamer and pro gamer Admin, who is also a member of Shibuya HAL's streamer group Knot Not Rank. During that time, she was referred to as just "Q-chan."
Qpi's Twitter account was created on February 2020, while her first tweet was made on 28 February. Her YouTube channel was created on 5 March and her debut stream on 10 July.

On 10 July, she debuted her "New Visual" 5th costume on her 5th debut anniversary.[11] For her 5th year of streaming as a VTuber, Qpi decided to get an image change, so the new outfit also features redesigned eyes and her sandy blonde hair now also has black highlights. This new costume was mainly designed by POKImari, in collaboration with her main illustrator Nanase Cocoa.

Trivia[]
Identity[]
- Color: #FFD23C
- Qpi is VSPO!'s gyaru representative, being its first gyaru (and so far, only tanned gyaru) member.
- Her family name Kaminari (神成) combines the kanji for "deity" (神, kami?) and "to become" (成り, nari?), closely linked to her original Busokanojo lore as the successor of a god of thunder[2] and it is read the same as "lightning/thunder" (雷, kaminari?), hence her thundercloud (🌩) oshi mark.
- Her given name Qpi (きゅぴ) is a reference to her old Apex IGN (pq〇〇).[2]
- Her "Babu-chan" baby gyaru side comes out when she's drunk and sleepy according to Yakumo Beni.[41][42]
- Her voice sounds very similar to that of her junior Shiranami Ramune, and other VSPO! members and collab partners say they can be hard to tell apart. As a result they can imitate each other's voices for pranks.[43]

- Likes: sleeping, gaming, energy drinks, coffee, Phat kaphrao, Aburasoba and Yuzu koshō.[44]

- She was born in Kyushu,[44] but didn't know her favorite condiment Yuzu koshō was just called "pepper" (こしょう, koshou?) there.

- She comes from a single-parent household and used to live together with her mother, her brother and their two pet dogs.[46]
- Her mother disapproved of her PC gaming hobby, so she once bought a long ethernet cable and secretly ran it along the ceiling from the living room to her room so she can play online games on her PC.[46]
- She says she resembles her father more than her mother, and that he was a PC gamer like she is now. He was also a smoker.[46]

- She has a pet cat named Chibi[47] who can sometimes be heard during her streams.
- She is quite knowledgeable about make-up, which is essential knowledge for a gyaru.
