Kanami has short dark brown hair with yellow highlights that resemble whiskers. She has yellow cat eyes and big cat ears the same color as her hair. A dark turquoise fish patterned headband is nestled under her hair but over her bangs, and the tips of her cat ears have white and gold decorations.

On 27 July, Kanami made an announcement that her debut will be delayed for an indefinite amount of time.
On 15 August, Kanami announced that she will debut on 22 August.[1] However, her debut got delayed again due to personal events.[2]
On 26 August, Kanami announced that she would debut on AniLive on the same date as the announcement.[3] She would become the last member of Class Nebulink to debut.

On 23 September, Kanami announced that she would be graduating the next day.[4]This makes her the NEXAS member with the shortest tenure there, with 29 days in between her debut and her graduation.
