Kaneko Lumi (金子瑠美) is a female English VTuber, currently associated with Phase-Connect's first wave of "Phase Invaders" alongside Amaris Yuri.
She was a member of CyberLive's 1st generation alongside Amaris Yuri, Momozora Seina, Utano Pandora and Ayane Hylo before graduating from the agency on 31 March 2022.

The star known as Gliese 6667C and space's greatest thief, Kaneko Lumi, is here! After traveling the universe for millennia, a shining blue planet caught her eye. Curious about the Earth and the creatures that inhabit it, this young, mischievous star is here to cause mischief and bring light to all that look upon her.[1]
Personality[]
Lumi's cute as hecky wecky. She loves playing challenging games, singing, and learning everything she can about the Earth and its valuables! Previously very perky and jovial, her on-stream persona has solidified into more of a coolly polite yet very earnest, occasionally bratty form. Her habit of reading chat nearly every moment makes for a constant back and forth of opinions and emotions. She encourages viewers to try and either make her laugh or surprise her, both of which she likes to put on full display when it happens.
However, she is hardly a pushover, quick to draw a line in the sand when her comfort zone is violated, which has previously driven away certain people who thought they could control her. Just like many in the company, her love of tangents easily overtakes the gaming content. She gets uncomfortable when people are "too nice" to her but she loves taking care of others.

2021[]
On August 7, Lumi released her first original song "Wander".
On August 28, Lumi opened her YouTube channel membership.[2]
On 11 October (GMT+8), Lumi's YouTube channel reached 10,000 subscribers. Also her Twitch channel reached 2,000 followers.[3]
On 22 October, Lumi released her first ever official cover song, "Lend Me Your Voice".[4]
On 2 November, the CyberLive Twitter account announced Lumi would have a new outfit.[5]
On 10 November, Lumi revealed her new outfit.
On 17 November, Lumi celebrated her birthday on Twitch. She also revealed her other model name Gremlumi.[6]
On 14 December, Lumi became a Twitch partner.[7]
2022[]
On 15 to 16 January, Lumi celebrated her 6 months anniversary, Twitch Partner, and did her first Subathon in about 24 hours.[8][9]
On 14 February, the CyberLive Twitter account announced that Lumi would be debuting her 3D model on 18 February.[10]
On 18 February, Lumi debuted her 3D model on Twitch channel.[11]
Leaving CyberLive[]
On 6 March, CyberLive Twitter account announced that Lumi and Amaris Yuri would both graduate from CyberLive and become independent VTubers on 31 March.[12] Both streamers also decided to take a spin on this by calling it an elopement.[13]
On 31 March, Lumi and Amaris Yuri both made their graduation streams on their respective Twitch channels, officially becoming independent VTubers.
Joining Phase-Connect[]
On 13 April, Phase-Connect's Twitter account uploaded a video teaser introducing their new generation, Phase Invaders, consisting of Lumi and Amaris Yuri.[14] Lumi would also make her own announcement confirming the move.[15]
On 15 April, Lumi redebuted as a member of Phase-Connect.[16]
On 21 May, her Twitch channel reached 10,000 followers.[17][18]
On 27 July, her YouTube channel reached 20,000 subscribers.[19]
On 11 August, her YouTube channel reached 30,000 subscribers.[20]
On 17 August, Lumi featured SO87's new original song "LOVE SPEC."[21]

On 17 July, Lumi debuted the second outfit for her second model during her 2nd anniversary stream on Twitch. She has a short white dress and a white t-shirt.

- On 14 April 2022, OffKai Expo's Twitter account announced that Kaneko Lumi, Amaris Yuri and many VTubers would appear as guests in "OffKai Expo" which would be held from 29 April to 1 May.[23]

- Lumi's favorite gaming genres are Action RPG (including the Souls/Borne series) and Grand Strategy.
- She is fond of reptiles and considers them cute.
- Lumi likes signs of stress in other people, such as grey hair, dark circles, etc. She thinks those mean they're hard workers.
- Lumi doesn't like these foods: mac and cheese by itself, hot cocoa, chocolate in general, meatballs, bananas.
- She doesn't like fidgeting noises.
- Lumi doesn't like senpai culture as it can put her automatically above someone and that could give someone else a reason not to like her.

- Lumi knows: English, Spanish, Japanese, and Mandarin Chinese to various degrees.
- She can't understand certain ways of speaking English, such as a time when XqC read a comment "in an illiterate way".[25]
- Lumi's "decoder" that translates her star language into English often "glitches", leading to Lumi speaking in different accents, including American English, British English, Australian English, French, Irish, and American Southern English accents. This can happen randomly or on command.[26]
- Her dream voice acting role is Jabami Yumeko from Kakegurui.
- Lumi is a classically trained pianist, and can also play ukelele, violin, drums, and guitar. Her favorite composer is Liszt.
