Kitanya_Is_Here is an English language VTuber from South Africa.
Personality[]
Kitanya is an energetic anglerfish VTuber. Her charisma and attitude at times seem as boundless as the sea she swims in. Providing hours of content in one sitting, she is almost never caught silent, just as one never seems to catch a fish sleeping. Cute as can be, and welcoming to all viewers.
Appearance[]
Kitanya is an angler fish with blue hair that subtly fades to a lighter color with red underlights. Her eye color is red and she has triangular red markings on the sides of her face, arm, and thigh. Her ahoge ("idiot hair") is her angler fish lure. She wears a fishing inspired outfit which consists of denim overalls, a white shirt with sea foam colored patterns on the sleeves and teeth at the top. She wears blue water-proof boots.
Her previous appearances, referred to as "games", include a cat girl, a fox girl, and a hero version of herself, as Game 1, 2, and 3 respectively, which were all blonde.

Background[]
She started streaming on YouTube on 24 October 2020. Before she streamed, she made gameplay videos on YouTube.
2021[]
On 21 January, she reached 5,000 subscribers on YouTube.
On 28 March, she placed #1 on the Fausts Alptraum speedrun leaderboard. Her verified record was dethroned after only 37 minutes.
On 22 April, she streamed on Twitch for the first time. During that "No Longer Cat" stream, her model appeared with wings and a halo. In the alternate version, they were made of cardboard.
On 8 May, she beat Minecraft on Hardcore Mode for the first time.
On 8 June, she changed her name to Kitanya_Is_Here.
On 8 August, she revealed a new model with long hair, a loose blue-and-green jacket around a white sailor-style dress, white socks, and red sneakers.
On 28 November, she became a Twitch Partner and revealed a new model which was her fox form.
On 22 December, she made a Padoru-style model of herself live on stream.
2022[]
On 9 April, she revealed a new model with long hair, a frilly white crop top, a denim skirt, white socks, and pink sneakers.
On 4 December, she revealed a 3D model with a yellow cropped tank top, a red skirt, white shoes and socks, a red collar, and a black garter belt.
2023[]
On 7 January, she revealed a "comfy" fox model referred to as "Comfox"[1]
On 25 March, she revealed a new 2D hero model.[2]
On 17 September, she got a 3D hero model.[3]
On 23 December, she revealed a "comfy" hero model referred to as "Comfero".[4]
2024[]
On 9 April, she debuted as an anglerfish using 2 png models.[5]
On 11 May, she got a 3D low poly model.[6]
On 11 April, she showed off her new chibi 2D model.[7]
On 22 June, she reached 22,222 followers on Twitch.
On 8 September she revealed her 2D Anglerfish model.[8]

Kitanya is a part of a friend group called "Barbie Girls". It consists of Inis, Olivia Monroe, VividlyVIVI, fallenshadow, Nina Saotome, Abigail Dovely, and SoyaPoya.
Fans[]
She refers to her chat as "Max" (previously "Cha"). They have the appearance of a fluffy creature made out of cotton candy, known for dissolving in water, having big buns and "UUUUUUUU" crying. She may or may not like to eat them.

- She has had a marathon where she finished all the Resident Evil games.
- She has completed speedruns of multiple games including Minecraft, and Chilla's Art games.
- She has supporter cameos in multiple Chilla's Art games thanks to one of her fans.
- She speaks English, Afrikaans and some Japanese. She once tried to learn Korean.
- Her room is frequently invaded by mosquitoes, moths, spiders, and even a frog.
- In February 2021, she noticed that she had become allergic to chocolate, one of her favorite foods, but she didn't want to give it up. Since then the allergy went away.
- She often takes a liking to attractive female and male video game characters, and is sometimes tempted to steal them from their significant other. She denies all accusations of being a home-wrecker and wife-stealer.
- She developed uncontrollable chronic hiccups after recovering from an operation, making her hiccup every few minutes.
- She gestures a lot when speaking, forgetting that her model doesn't pick it up.
- She can't handle spicy food. Her parents love spicy food and once tricked her into eating wasabi.
- She can chirp like a bird, and once tricked her mom with it.
- She used to be an athlete that competed in short and long-distance running. She once competed in a big race and got 4th place but was convinced it should have been 3rd place.

- No matter the day, Kitanya greets people with "happy Monday", and insists that no other weekdays exist.
- Kitanya is infamous for getting bad endings for games, even when trying her best to avoid it.
- Kitanya is directionally challenged.
- The animals she grows attached to in games rarely survive for long, usually because of her own carelessness. There's a running joke of naming these animals "Floof" after the many Minecraft dogs that have been killed on stream.
- Her chat often wishes her a happy birthday, no matter what day it is.
- Her chat sometimes jokes that her nationality isn't South African, and is instead: British, Korean, North African, West African, etc.
