Koganei Niko (虎金妃笑虎) is a Japanese-speaking Virtual YouTuber affiliated with hololive DEV_IS, a branch of hololive production. She debuted on 9 November 2024 as part of the unit FLOW GLOW alongside Isaki Riona, Mizumiya Su, Rindo Chihaya and Kikirara Vivi.

Weak against animals and mornings, her every day starts by getting out of bed with a fuzzy head and hair as she prepares breakfast for her cat.

She has long blonde hair with a braid and black streaks and light blue eyes under rounded glasses with a light orange tint. She has a silver chain necklace with multiple small balls attached.

FLOW GLOW was first teased on 6 November 2024 on hololive's Twitter account featuring ReGLOSS members.[1]
On 7 November, on FLOW GLOW's YouTube channel a teaser was published presenting its members.[2] Shortly after a teaser video was published in each member's channel.[3] Niko also made her first tweet on this date.[4] Her YouTube channel was created on 1 August 2024.
Niko debuted on 9 November, reaching 100,000 subscribers.[5] She also released her first cover of the song "Shikairo Days."
2024[]
On 10 November, she reached 200,000 YouTube subscribers. However, an automated YouTube subscriber cull affected subsequently deleted around 15,000 subscribers from each member of FLOW GLOW.[6] Niko reached the 200,000 subscriber milestone again on the same day. On 11 November, each FLOW GLOW member lost around 60,000 followers in another YouTube subscriber cull.[7]
Niko reached the 200,000 subscribers again on 13 November.
On 23 November, Niko enabled Super Chat feature on her YouTube channel.[8]

- On 7 November 2024, hololive announced that a FLOW GLOW-themed pop-up store would open from 13 to 17 November in Harajuku Hakkakukan to commemorate FLOW GLOW's debut.[9][10]

- Niko's fans are called "Nikotan."
- Formerly they were known as "25P" (Nikopi), however due to its similarity to Sakura Miko's 35P in pronunciation, she changed it.

Name[]
- Her surname Koganei is written 「虎金妃」, with unusual readings of the kanji for "tiger," "gold," and "empress." "Kogane" means gold-colored.
- Her given name Niko「笑虎」 is written with the kanji for "laugh" and "tiger." "Niko" is also Japanese onomatopoeia for smiling or laughing.
- Niko's first and last name both contain the kanji「虎」, which means "tiger". Her jacket is decorated with three tigers, her hair and clothing colors alternate between yellow-black. She even used quite a lot of tiger images in her debut stream.
Likes and dislikes[]
- Some of her special skills include telling jokes, having a soft body, getting high scores in karaoke, and imitating others.
- Niko likes herself when making people laugh, Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan, cats, animals, anime, and music (BUMP OF CHICKEN, Yorushika, hololive songs).
- She dislikes meat (she likes vegetables), insects (it's okay if they're slippery), and red.
- Her goals include bringing the ideas she create to more people through the media, being able to get a job where she can tell people how good animals are, being able to do the script Nico-tan episode of hologra animation, and everyone in FLOW GLOW being able to stand on the same stage as their senpais.

- She is the tallest in FLOW GLOW with a height of 172 cm.
- She is the joint fourth tallest female hololive member with Pavolia Reine, after Kaela Kovalskia (173 cm), Nerissa Ravencroft (175 cm), and retired member Kiryu Coco (180 cm).
- At debut, she was the tallest current female Japanese member.
