Kou Mariya (コウマリヤ) is a female English VTuber affiliated with V4Mirai second generation "Petalight", alongside: Mono Monet, Yae Yugiri, and Biscotti. She initially was independent.

Mariya is a very sweet and romantic girl. She attaches importance to be intimate with her fans and support all VTubers.
Appearance[]
She has long, sandy brown hair with a pink streak and violet-pink eyes with slit pupils that also has a single beauty mark under one of her eyes, pointed ears, and black bat wings sticking out of her head.

Background[]
Mariya was inspired to become a VTuber after watching NIJISANJI member Pomu Rainpuff and hololive members Minato Aqua and Watson Amelia.[1]
She debuted as an independent VTuber on 3 October 2020 on Twitch.
2023[]
Joining V4Mirai[]
On 11 November, she re-debuted as a member of V4Mirai second generation, "Petalight." [2]
2024[]
On 14 February, she launched her first karaoke relay, "ValENtine Karaoke Relay", for Valentine's Day, between 18 VTubers from various agencies: V4Mirai, globie, idol, PixelLink, Phase-Connect, PRISM Project and Production kawaii.
On 4 May, she launched her second karaoke relay, "Pros-in-Cons Karaoke Relay". It involved 24 VTubers: all V4Mirai, all V-Dere, many idol members, many Phase-Connect members, Mint Fantôme, and Miori Celesta.
Between 5 and 6 October, Mariya and Kanna Yanagi launched a 24 hour karaoke relay named "Rockin' Relay". This relay involved 48 VTubers from: V4Mirai, PixelLink, idol, V-Dere, VSPO! EN, V&U, Specialite, globie, Prima Project, as well as Obake PAM and various independents.
On 27 October, Mariya and Spectra Libitina launched a karaoke relay, "Spooky Songfest", themed around spooky songs. It involved 24 VTubers from: V4Mirai, V&U, PixelLink, idol, globie, V-Dere, Prima Project, Utano Pandora, Umi Kyoku, Mint Fantôme, and Miori Celesta.
2025[]
On 13 January, Mariya announced her indefinite hiatus, citing "sudden personal emergency". She reassured fans that this is not a graduation or a health-related emergency, and promised to be back to streaming at some point. She will remain active on socials when possible.[3]
On 15 January, her YouTube channel has been demonetized due to alleged deceptive activity.[4]
On 8 March, Mariya announced her return from hiatus with 2.0 outfit reveal, scheduled for 22 March.[5]
On 22 March, Mariya returned from her hiatus and revealed her 2.0 outfit.[6]

On 23 November, Mariya participated in the VSPO! EN x Viewer APEX Customs, a custom Apex lobby hosted by Arya Kuroha where all 5 VSPO EN members + Mariya as a guest, were arranged into two squads, competing separately against 18 other trio squads made up of viewers in Apex's Battle Royale mode. Her teammates were Arya and Narin Mikure.

- Contrary to her non-existent lower half, Mariya is in fact a bottom.
- She gets very scared when playing horror games, or anything that surprises
- She eats peanut butter on pickles as a snack, some fans tried it with an unexpected outcome.
- She likes to make granola in her spare time for giving away as gifts.
