Kusunoki Sio (楠栞桜) was a female Japanese Virtual YouTuber who debuted on 24 December 2019.
Personality[]
Sio is a demure, air-headed elf girl who goes about life at her own pace. She plays games such as Mahjong (Tenhou), Pokemon, Nintendo Ring Fit and Minecraft. She's friends with Kanon who has not created her own channel yet.
She is famous for her excellent skill of Mahjong and some other Vtubers called her "Mahjong Machine" with awe.
She is writing the monthly column in Kindai Mahjong (近代麻雀), which is the mahjong magzine Akagi is published in. Also she sometimes appears in the official Youtube programs of popular Mahjong games such as Tenhou and Mahjong Soul.

Background[]
She made her debut on 24 December 2019, on the Christmas mahjong program of Tenhou, with Kanon, Tsunoda (founder of Tenhou), and Takahiro Tsuda (professional mahjong player, lawyer). While this was her first stream, she didn't appeared with a 2D or 3D model.
2020[]
She officially appeared with her 2D model on 17 January during a stream playing Ring Fit Adventure.[1]
On 20 June 2020, she revealed her 3D model during a stream.[2]
On 20 August, she announced that she was going on indefinite hiatus from online activities.[3] She revealed that on the night before, she started getting multiple hacking attempts on her Twitter and Youtube accounts, in addition to receiving emails containing pictures of her real-life persona. She has decided to cease online activities after consulting with a lawyer.[4]

- She often plays mahjong with other Vtubers, for example Tenkai Tsukasa, Gundo Mirei, Luis Cammy etc...
- She also often has collaborations with professional mahjong players of M League , the top mahjong league in Japan. She especially respects Kosyo Tsuchida who is famous for his occultic mahjong theory.
