Kuzuryu Io (九頭龍いお) is a female English donut loving dragon VTuber. Originally debuting in 2020, and retiring a year later, she made a surprise return in April 2024.

Io was formerly a demon lord but got of sick it. She really likes donuts and consumes them at unhealthy speeds.
Appearance[]
She has long pink hair with a ribbon attached to the back of it and black horns with light blue eyes. She has small white wings with pink spots and pink patterned markings on her shoulders.
History[]
Background[]
Io was inspired to become a VTuber after watching hololive. She became a VTuber on a whim.[1]
Io's Twitch account was originally created on 14 April 2013, with only one known stream prior to her VTuber debut. Her Twitter account was made in August 2020, and her YouTube channel was created on 1 October 2020.
On 23 October 2020, Io debuted on Twitch. The stream reached a peak of 1,886 viewers, which she attributes to posting a lot on Twitter in the run-up to the debut stream. She debuted as a member of Atelier Live, a group perhaps best known at the time for Artemis of the Blue. The VOD was uploaded to YouTube as Kuzuryu Io Debut!】 donut dragon is doing her best to debut.
2020[]
On 24 October, Io released her backstory video on YouTube.[2]
2021[]
On 14 March, she reached 10,000 Twitch followers.
On 25 June, Io released the preview video for her new model debut, which would occur on July 23rd.
On 23 July, she debuted a new model.
Retirement[]
On 2 October, Io announced on her Twitter account that she would retire from her activities as a VTuber on 23 October.[3]
On 23 October, a year after her original debut, she held a graduation stream on Twitch. It reached 1,766 viewers at peak. Her YouTube channel description was changed to "VOD archive for a donut dragon who has gone back home to the Underworld. What a dazzling adventure we've been on." It was later uploaded on YouTube as 【Final Stream】 Donut Draggo Graduation 【Kuzuryu Io】.
2024[]
On 2 April, Io made a surprise return announcement, intending to stream one or two Sundays per month. She later posted the announcement in meme format: "Friendship ended with graduation / Now 11am Apr 7 stream is my best friend."[4] The announcement coincidentally came shortly after Mint Fantôme's surprise return.
