kyOresu (Also known as kyO) is an independent Singer and Vtuber. She has garnered millions of views through a variety of popular cover songs such as Lalala and Dorime as well as other very well-received Original songs like Virtual and Magical Doomer. In 2024 she redebuted with a new Live2D model. She focuses on making a variety of content like songs, playing games, Karaoke Streams, , Zatsus and real life related content such as cosplays skits and cooking. kyOresu differentiates herself from most vtubers due to the fact that her character is based on her real appearance, resulting in her doing both Vtubing and Regular Facecam Streams.

Personality

kyOresu is a lively upbeat streamer who is always giggly and has a cheerful but chaotic personality. She always hypes up her streams by starting with a very ecstatic repeating greeting and she loves to make jokes and talk about her daily life with her fans. Her personality emits a very powerful stage presence where she has command over being both goofy and cute. She uses this command to fill the hearts of her Kyopis with adoration for kyOresu.

One of the most striking features about kyOresu is how much she wears her heart on her sleeve. Interspersed between the laughter and the chaos, she will occasionally be vulnerable about her past, her struggles, and her fears for the future. Despite her insecurities, she always wants to reassure her Kyopis that she loves them as well as in turn receive constant love and support back.

Despite her cheerful attitude, she often gets described by her fans as a “Lolibaba” for her corny puns and very calming personality. kyOresu always confidently strives towards being the best and doesn't give into negative criticism while remaining to be known as a unhinged streamer, and a very appreciated oshi.

kyOresu’s model hair is based on her real life appearance, she has natural blonde hair with blonde and pink pigtails and pink dyed bangs. She wears her iconic white bunny scrunchies on both her pigtails and has a bandaid on her forehead. her eyes, despite appearing purple, are actually blue. However the change occurs due to the pink color of her bangs reflecting in her eyes. kyOresu wears a dog collar with her name on it around her neck and wears a pink striped jacket and sweats with pill pins and a black frilly turtleneck underneath. She has white platformer shoes and a pink school bag backpack with wings.

For her Chibi Model she often switches to another outfit where she wears a purple bunny snuggie hoodie with bandaids on her knees, yellow socks and Cinnamoroll slippers.

History

Background

kyOresu created her channel on 24 December 2014. However, this wasn’t her first YouTube Channel. The first video that is available on her current channel is an UTAU Cover of the Song “First” by the Vocaloid Lily, uploaded on 17 November 2015; almost a full year after the original creation of her channel. The majority of her uploads and indeed YouTube activity consisted of covers, though she quickly transitioned to using her own voice.

2019

On 31 August, she uploaded her cover of “lalala” by bbno$ and Y2K, which is now her most viewed Video at over 13 Million Views.

2020

On 20 January, her YouTube channel reached 100,000 subscribers.

She started streaming during this year as well, initially using a PNG Model. This year would also mark the first time she streamed in Spanish.

While no exact date is available, she would also reach 200 thousand subscribers on her YouTube channel.

2021

On 6 January, she reached 5,000 Twitch followers.

On 14 March, she reached 10,000 Twitch followers.

During this year, kyOresu started to stream more actively on Twitch, as well as using a 3D Model she made herself. Her most streamed category was Just Chatting. Most of her streams are unarchived, however a few can be found on YouTube.

On 30 December she announced her official VTuber debut under the “Magical Doomer Project”.

2022

During this year, kyOresu would enter a multiple month long hiatus for the Magical Doomer Project due to health reasons. However, she would still upload and be featured in covers.

2023

During 2023 kyOresu would extend her hiatus, including her video presence. She only once broke her silence to feature in a collaboration with the artist Alohaii in the song “Here We Go”, released on 3 April.

She would briefly return to streaming on 25 December for her Patreon members on Discord.

2024

kyOresu started this year by once again streaming for her Patreon Members on 1 January, celebrating the start of the new year.

On 19 February, she released her own Version of the Song “Internet Overdose” from the game Needy Streamer Overload, detailing her side of a drama she has been involved in.

On 2 April she would officially announce her return as a streamer as well as her debut later that month. At the same time she would also confirm that the Magical Doomer Project would not be continued.

On 20 April, she officially debuted and showcased both her chibi model and new 3D model. kyOresu would also announce her first ever merch in a partnership with Kawa Entertainment. She would also show off an older unreleased song which is (un)officially known as the "Cringe Song". While kyO herself hasn't uploaded said song outside of her debut stream, reuploads are available on YouTube.

On 2 May she would do her first cosplay stream, dressing up as the character Klee from Genshin Impact and starting a Diamond Puzzle which features the same character.

On 3 May kyOresu would announce her first Meet and Greet at OffKai 2024.

On 5 May, her merch was officially available for pre-order, featuring among other items a limited cutting board with her design.

On 7 May kyOresu would have her first ever Collab, being hosted by Filian. During this stream, kyOresu would cosplay as Madoka Kaname from the anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica.

On 8 May her debut stream reached 100,000 views.

On 10 May kyOresu’s YouTube channel reached 500,000 subscribers.

On 13 May kyOresu would open her YouTube memberships, celebrating with a Members Only karaoke.

On 18 June kyOresu would debut her new Live2D Model, celebrating by doing her first ever Shorts stream as well.

2025

On 20 April, there was a stream in honor of the anniversary of her debut as a VTuber. She celebrated this event by painting eggs in the style of their mascots (since Easter 2025 was on 20 April) and singing karaoke (an emoji of an egg in a basket in the form of a mascot was also created).

kyOresu’s general Fans are called “Kyopi(s)” which is an abbreviation for “kyOpilled Individuals”. In reference to that name, Kyopis are shaped like a round tablet pill, however in addition they also have cat ears and whiskers. They also possess big, round, uneven eyes and a three-shaped cat mouth. Their colors are pink on the left side of the pill and white on the right side. Furthermore kyOresu also often refers to her Kyopis as either fat or "gordo", which is the Spanish word for fat.

Her Elite Fans are called “Kyorecon(s)”, an abbreviation for “kyOresu connoiseurs”. They are shaped like a pill Capsule. Similarly to the Kyopis they also share the Cat Ears, Whiskers and uneven eyes. However unlike the rather neutral eyes of the Kyopis, the Eyes of the Kyorecons are watery. Their colors are the same as Kyopis.

• The bandaid on her forehead represents mental health.
• Even during real life streams she is trying to have similar looks to her model, usually wearing either a bandaid on her forehead, putting the kyOresu nametag around her neck and sometimes even wearing the same clothes.
• kyO uses fanart not only for her streaming schedule but also in her starting screen, having used animations from multiple different artists and commissions.
• According to her, kyOresu is the most smashable character.
• kyOresu really loves her family, frequently talking about both her Grandmother (Babu) and her little brother. She also lived with them for a long time and still often either visits or takes trips with them.
• kyOresu is very clumsy and frequently forgets things, leading to the phrase “kyO…” becoming both a commonly used phrase in her community as well as getting its own Channel Emote.
