Rinkou Ashelia (鈴香アシェリア), better known simply as Lia, is a female English Virtual YouTuber and a member of Phase-Connect, debuting as part of its first generation alongside Pipkin Pippa, Tenma Maemi, Fujikura Uruka, Hakushika Iori, Shisui Michiru and Utatane Nasa.

Profile[]
A cheerful virus that lives rent free in the minds of many. Was once a renowned Phase World special agent turned criminal. Ashelia uploaded her conscious and personality to the Phase Network before she was taken out by her pursuers - or was this planned all along?
Personality[]
On the surface, Lia can be described as a high energy denpa imouto. However, underneath that surface is a very introspective streamer who, at her core, just wants to make her company proud and do her best to keep her viewers entertained.
Lia is known for her signature chaos zatsudan, and she has an intangible quality to her that cannot really be explained. Her streams are extremely chat interactive, and have often been described by viewers as having an electric energy to them. Lia very easily becomes hyper-fixated on new obsessions such as discovering a new anime, playing a new game, or being introduced to new Tumblr sexymen that cause her to be in heat. While primarily a variety streamer, a hallmark of her channel is her Internet Deep Dive series and her fashion profile series where she welcomes guests onto her channel.
While some may consider her style to be off-the-wall at times, Lia walks the line with flair and panache, as only she can!

Lia has long platinum blonde twintails that are accented with pink highlights. She has dazzling turquoise eyes, but tragically was born without a nose. As for her outfit and accessories, Lia wears pink sleeves, pink and yellow lightning bolt shaped earrings, and has her prized jellyfish keychain attached to her hip at all times.

Lia made her debut 18 June 2021 on YouTube, becoming the very first Phase-Connect member to debut for the company.
2021[]
On 21 August, her YouTube channel reached 10,000 subscribers.
2022[]
On 25 June, Lia revealed a complete 2.0 character overhaul with a new model, hairstyle, and outfit.[1]
On 15 August, her YouTube channel reached 40,000 subscribers.
2023[]
On 14 March, Lia released her very first solo song cover: a rendition of Takanashi Kiara's "Heart Challenger."
On 5 April, her YouTube channel reached 50,000 subscribers.
On 14 July, she revealed her 2.5 model brushup, which included new hair styles, fang, and expressions.
On 28 July, Lia interviewed renowned YouTuber ManlyBadassHero. This is noteworthy because this was his first ever interview in his 10+ year career as a content creator.[2]
On 10 August, her YouTube channel reached 75,000 subscribers.
On 28 November, her YouTube channel reached 100,000 subscribers. In doing so, Lia became the fourth Phase-Connect member to reach this milestone.[3]
2024[]
On 25 August, Lia made her 3D debut at Anime NYC during the Phase Connect 1st NYC LIVE concert.[4]
On 14 September, Lia revealed an alternate outfit: a Tenshi Kaiwai punk inspired costume. This outfit is primarily a white and blue color scheme where she sports a white top and white shorts with blue frill. For accessories, she wears angel wing headphones and has a jellyfish tamagotchi around her waist. She is also wearing white and blue velcro platform sneakers. When her new long blue streaked hair is visible, her hair silhouette resembles that of a jellyfish. In addition to the new outfit, she received a rigging overhaul.
On 28 September, Lia debuted her second 3D chibi model. [5]
Events[]
- On 10 March 2022, it was announced that Lia and many VTubers would appear as guests at the 1st annual OffKai Expo which would be held from 29 April to 1 May.[6]
- On 11 May 2023, Lia was announced as a participant at Anime Central's Celebrity Side Quest Table Top Games series, where she played Dungeons and Dragon's alongside such voice actresses as Faye Mata and Surena Marie.[7]
- On 16 June 2023, Lia made her 3D chibi debut at OffKai Expo during wonders.ai's Wonderverse Community Stage presentation.[8]
- Lia, along with her genmate Iori and kouhai Remilia Nephys, hosted and commentated Mahjong Soul's 2023 Mahjong Cup which was held on 20 August 2023.[9]
- On 3 November 2023, Lia appeared at Youmacon, where she hosted a panel alongside Pippa, Tenma and Iori.[10]
- Japanime Games announced on 5 November 2023 that Lia would be joining her Phase OriginS genmates as characters in a new tabletop card game called "Oshi Push."[11]
- On 16 December 2023, Lia, on behalf of Phase-Connect, accepted the award for Rising VTuber Org at the 2023 VTuber Awards.
- On 29 April 2024, Lia, alongside her genmates Pippa, Tenma and Uruka, were announced as participating in a Phase Connect x SPWN Main Stage presentation at OffKai Expo.[12] However, Lia and Uruka would never appear due to technical and communication issues.[13]
- On 25 August 2024, Lia performed at Anime NYC in a main stage 3D concert with her genmates and Mint Fantôme.[14]
- On 30 November 2024, she participated in the Dokibird x Oversight Apex Custom as “Team Bao” teaming with Bao the Whale and Amatsuka Uto.[15]
Mascots and Fans[]
- Her fanbase has had many names over the years, including: AshLeague, Leaguemates, Masters, Operators, RinKult, and Liacons. With that being said, they will always affectionately be known as Lia Likers.
- On 10 January 2024, Lia announced her new official mascot: a jellyfish named Liacon. It is a pink cannonball jellyfish and has lightning bolts on its head and cheeks.[16]
- In addition to Liacon, her fanbase adopted the autism creature meme as their own and have championed "Yippee!" as Lia's unofficial mascot.

Rinmama[]
A recurring character on Lia's channel is her mother: Rinmama. A lot of the bizarre and entertaining traits Lia has, Rinmama shares them as well. For better or worse, many say she is to credit/blame for why Lia is the way she is. Lia and her mom have a unique mother-daughter relationship where they banter with each other like sisters and have been called "the mentally ill Gilmore Girls."

- As a side effect of taking an antibiotic as a child, Lia now has green bones in her body.
- When Lia was on a trip in Estonia, she repeatedly licked a 1000-year old wall "in an attempt to gain its knowledge & taste history."[17]
- Lia fears horses and hates birds.
- Lia is a trained dancer. She took baby tap lessons as a toddler, and then trained ballet for 10+ years before moving on to modern dance.
- As a child, Lia was a competitive cup stacking prodigy.
- Lia is half-Puerto Rican from Rinmama's side. This has prompted her chat to call her a "Tropical Mexican" and "Partial Rican."[18]
- Lia is diagnosed with Autism.[19]
- The officially recognized currency on her channel are Double Dollars ($$).
- Lia is partially blind in her left eye.
- Lia graduated preschool in 2009. [20]
- Lia, along with her genmates, once hosted a WatchMojo countdown titled "Top 10 Anime Scenes That Are Probably Illegal." This appearance caused a fair degree of cringe for all involved.
- Despite being canonically 19, Lia lost her Gen Z status on 7/16/2024 and is now classified as a Gen Alpha hag as a result.
- Lia's previous model is treated as a separate entity called Ashelia. Ashelia is canonically dead.
- Dizzy Dokuro sometimes uses Ashelia's "skin" as a costume to tease Lia. She says they keep it in Phase-Connect's warehouse.
