Ljot Swanhild is a 3D Virtual YouTuber who makes short videos, game reviews/music videos and DJ sets. Her first video was released 18 December 2022. Her YouTube channel is not for those who are photosensitive.
Personality[]
Ljot typically makes short skit videos featuring herself and the other Swanhilds hanging out. The other Swanhilds include Schatten, Large Creature, and Normie Barista. Additionally, she makes heavily edited "espresso edit" videos that feature constantly changing scenes and flashes of color in a retro style, creating a psychedelic atmosphere. Her videos often feature fast-paced music and abstract thoughts. She also creates DJ sets, and gaming videos where she tries to find glitches and bugs.
Appearance[]
Ljot Swanhild[]
Ljot has medium-length blue-green hair with light and dark spots and a checkered pattern. She wears a school sailor uniform, sometimes replacing the skirt with camouflage cargo pants. Occasionally the skirt model and cargo pants model are treated as separate characters who interact with each other.
Schatten Swanhild[]
Schatten is short, wears a school outfit, has black hair, and talks in a gravelly voice. She first appears in "Shadow the Swanhild" where Ljot finds her in the mountains which is Schattens home. Her name "Schatten" is German for shadow in reference to shadow the hedgehog. She is known for her bad temper however, despite that she is rather empathetic often coming to a mutual understanding with others after initially being put off. She likes broccoli, stones, bats, and snow. She is in love with Normie Barista.
Large Creature Swanhild[]
Large Creature is tall, also wears a school outfit, has bright teal hair, and talks in beeps and boops. It first appears in "swanhild creature in the mountains" where Ljot and Schatten find swanhild sightings and investigate in the mountains to find it. Ljot is the only character who can understand Large Creatures speech and later starts to learn the language herself. Large Creature is referred to by other characters with it/its pronouns. Large Creature is known for being introverted and merciful. She likes artichokes, guayusa tea, shinkasen 700 series, and giraffes. Notably does not like coffee like the other Swanhilds.
Normie Barista Swanhild[]
Normie Barista is similar in height to Ljot, also wears a school outfit, and has lime green hair. She first appears in "Normie Barista" where Schatten tries to order an espresso from her. Normie Barista works at the Cafe Sunshine Happy which replaces the previously used street espresso stand seen in earlier videos run by the PNG version of Ljot Swanhild. Normie Barista holds annual beach festivals that no one other than Schatten attends (because they are in love). She also is a hairdresser.

Other characters that occasionally appear include Zardoz Swanhild: a decapitated floating head of the Ljot model in reference to the movie Zardoz, the Aphex Twins/Aliens: a pair of Ljot model but with blank eyes, Ljot Swanhild (PNG): the PNG version of Ljot Swanhild.

Her YouTube channel was created on 7 December 2022, and her Twitter account was created in December 2022.
Her first video was released on December 18, 2022, a 43 second video of her playing Session: Skate Sim and showing off funny glitches.[1]

- Ljot's videos have sparked a reaction from her viewers. Videos have been released analyzing her video style and its significance.
- On 30 November, 2024, YouTuber Crunchybagels released a video talking about his four favorite unhinged vtubers. One of which is Ljot. He explains Ljot's content as "sh*tposts dedicated to her niche interests." He goes on to call Ljot "the world's first postmodern VTuber."[8]
- On 15 January, 2025, YouTuber graylink released a video further explaining Ljot.[9]
