Love=charmulet (formerly Love-chan (Loveちゃん)) is a female independent Japanese Virtual YouTuber. She originally debuted as the second of the four Kizuna AI's variants introduced, until 14 June 2020, where she along with her sister Aipii, got their own channel and later her own distinctive design.

"love-chan is an AI born from Kizuna AI in June 2019. As she became more active, she felt the desire to be more like herself, and changed her looks and started her activities as “love-chan.” She loves “heroes” and “anime songs.”love-chan has a big-sister like mature personality as well as a sudden baby-like personality which adds to her charm. She hopes to bring smiles and hope to all her human friends while waiting for Kizuna AI to wake up from her indefinite sleep (indefinite hiatus)."[2]

In contrast to Aipii, who is more tomboyish, Love-chan has a more mature and calm personality. She regularly refers to herself as "cool beauty." Love-chan is also a fan of Kamen Rider. When she is with Kizuna Ai and Aipii, she tries to be the mature big sister of the group, but often falling for her sisters' jokes.

Background[]
The former company in charge of Kizuna AI, Activ8, conceived in June 2019 a new initiative called the Four Kizuna AI, which was unveiled through a series of videos on A.I. Channel called Kizuna AI's Everyday (キズナアイな日々 Kizuna Ai na Hibi). The main goal of the project was to diversify Kizuna AI's content and to introduce a franchise of the brand to China. Love-chan was the first of three new Kizuna AI to be introduced to the public.
Unfortunately, the project was not well received by the fans fearful that the new personalities would replace the original and it eventually lead to a series of reforms on how the content of Kizuna AI was made. One of these decisions was to separate Love-chan and Aipii from Kizuna AI. First by giving them identification markers, but eventually to give them a separate channel and a new brand image.
While she was part of A.I. Channel, she used a hairpin with the design of a blue number sign (#) and "Love-chan" was a nickname given to her by fans. In 8 April 2020 she and her sister Aipii debuted on their new independent channel and on 14 June of the same year, she debuted her new appearance.
2019
On 7 June, she truly separate from “Kizuna AI” and develops a sense of identity. It is considered as her anniversary.
On 11 November, with her new hair ornament, she gains more and more individuality.
On 17 December, the nickname “love-chan” is decided.
2020[]
On 13 May, she became an independent channel under the name “love-pii channel” with “Aipi”, another new personality from Kizuna AI
On 15 June, as part of her 1st birthday celebration, her new Live2D model look is unveiled.
On 19 July, their channel was open of monetization.[3]
On 26 July, due to suspension of Aipii activities, the first suspension of activities happens.
On 18 August, their channel monetization was closed due to Aipii's announced retirement.[3]
On 13 September, Love-chan debuted her first original song "Uinatsu." The release of the song also marked the retirement of Aipii.[3] The "love-pii channel," was renamed Love channel (loveちゃんねる). Love-chan continued on as a solo Virtual YouTuber. She had her first solo stream on 25 September.

2021[]
On 25 April, Love-chan announced that she would get her 3D model.[4]
On 7 June, as part of her 2nd birthday celebration, Love-chan debuted her 3D model during a stream.[5]
On 3 July, she announced that she would go on hiatus for the rest of the month.[6] The activities are suspended for the second time.
Later on 31 July, Kizuna AI Inc.'s official Twitter announced that Love-chan would return on early August.[7] However she did not return.
2022[]
On 20 January, after more than 6 months of inactivity, Love-chan returned to her activities with a short clip.[8]
On 10 February, she announced her appearance on Kizuna AI's Last Live Hello World 2022 concert on 26 February, the last appearance of AI before her indefinite hiatus.[9]
On 26 May, she revealed a new 3D outfit, a pink striped hoodie and cat ears.[10]
On 12 June, as part of her 3rd birthday celebration, Love-chan held "Lovechan Kingdom 2022", her first solo live event, at Humax Ikebukuro cinemas.
On August, for the Tokyo Game Show, Love-chan did a collab with "fingger", a participatory gaming platform for YouTube Live, with many other Vtubers.
On 24 August, Love-chan held her first live "lovechan summer mini live."[11]
On 30 September, Love-chan debuted her second original song "embrace."
From November 2022, original songs will be released for 4 consecutive months and live costumes will be unveiled.
On 16 November, she released her song "Underwater electric light."
On 16 December, Love-chan collabored with one of her favorite seiyuu, Haruko Momoi, and releases the song "Love no Ongaeshi" with lyrics and music by seiyuu Haruko Momoi. Love-chan showed off her new pink stage costume.
2023[]
On 9 February, she released her new song "Look at me".
On 18 February, she held her first solo musical performance, "dreamy girl," at the Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinema, which is available for free on her YouTube channel since 1 May 2024.
On April, she held her birthday event "Love-chan Challengers."
On 27 August, she held the "lovechan summer free live", a 3D music live colored with famous summer songs, collaborating with #kzn, Miracle, Noelle and Thea from the anime and multimedia project Kizuna no Allele.
On 7 September she released a new song "Dear Challengers."
On 28 October, she held the "Love-chan Caravan Tokyo," a live performance at the Grace Bali Ueno Tokyo Store.
On 24 December, she released the song "Night Festival" and held the "Love-chan Caravan Osaka Outline," a live performance at the Grace Bali Namba Dotonbori, Osaka.
2024[]
On 29 March, Kizuna AI Inc. announced that Love-chan would graduate from Kizuna AI Inc. on 2 May, and become an independent virtual talent.
On 2 May, in a live video called "Re:Birth live 「metamorphose」", she announced that she would be rebranding herself as "love=charmulet"[12], her earring is also changed to resemble a bow/butterfly.
On 8 June, to celebrate her 5th birthday, she received a new outfit; a dark blue dress, which can be changed to different colors (light blue, white, red, purple, etc.).
On 17 August, she revealed another new outfit, a summer yukata.

- Love-chan's new image still retains the identification marker she used when she was Kizuna AI, the blue number sign. But this time it is the design of her right earring. Her new image, a white with blue long dress includes at the center of her chest, a pin with the shape of Kizuna AI's Pyoko-pyoko, symbolizing her connection and origin with Kizuna AI.
- Love-chan's birthday is on 7 June, the date the second Kizuna AI "installed" her new personality pack.
- Her name and her sister's name are puns of the name of Kizuna AI, which it is at the same time a pun with the Japanese word for love, Ai(愛).
- She shares the same illustrator with AZKi from hololive.
- She's a fan of tokusatsu, and especially a huge fan of Kamen Rider, besides three of her most viewed videos are covers of the kamen Rider themes.
- Her most viewed video is a cover song by her and Aipii.
- She has often made videos with Tomari Mari, Peanuts-kun, Mia Tami, Ponpoko, #kzn, and character from Kizuna no Allele (Miracle, Noelle, Thea, Jessie, Sarah, etc...).

- She's also very fond of Kunihiko Ikuhara work and style on anime, known for Sailor Moon, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Yurikuma Arashi, Mawaru Penguindrum, and Sarazanmai.
