Production and release[]
Love Rush was the second track on Takanashi Kiara's first album, Point of View. It was released digitally on 29 August 2023. Pre-orders for a physical CD release were available between 29 August 2023 and 2 October 2023, for delivery in November 2023. The album was announced at short notice during a HoloCure stream on 28 August 2023.
Love Rush was only completed very shortly before the album's digital release, and Kiara regretted not having more time to spend on it.[1] Kiara viewed it as an English-language sequel to her second single Heart Challenger, which was also composed by Kai Gojo, who co-composed Love Rush. It was inspired by the music of Japanese pop group fhána, most famous for performing the opening to Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid.[2] Composer monii found Love Rush the most difficult to write, due to a lack of experience composing idol-style music. Kiara asked monii to write the lyrics as a kind of love letter to her fans as a thank-you for their continued support.[3]
On 26 September 2023, a music video was released. The music video was by Raina Illune. Art was provided by Mamaloni, who previously did art for HINOTORI.
