Lupo Marcio is an undead wolf and is the Familiar of the dog Cherie, who is heard in the background of the livestreams. Having to stay close to her, he has found a place in the Spokesman's house and thus not having much to do when the latter is free, via psychic connection he makes live streaming using him as a means to do things with his hands that he couldn't do with his paws, since is not agile in these situations.

Normally very calm, he wants to make the stop in his channel pleasant with his strong desire to make jokes of various kinds and by telling anecdotes of his life in an amusing way. He really likes to chat and give space to all those who want to express themselves, he is very keen to keep the conversation of high quality. He does his best to remember everything his habitual community does and to create a healthy and playful relationship, in fact he cares that the lightheartedness is basic in such a way that everyone can actually make fun of him and vice versa. He is extremely shy and typically doesn't know how to respond to positive compliments.
Appearance[]
He has the appearance of a larger than normal common wolf, with a purplish coat and a green crest that runs from the head to the withers. The crest is wild and at the base it emits a very slight greenish glow, defining its unnaturalness as it derives from the force absorbed from other creatures.
The eyes glow in the dark, with the iris shaded green around the edge and yellow towards the center, the red colored pupils glow intensely if the gaze is directed towards the beholder, while fades when looking away. The sclera is black, itself surrounded by a black border. His right eye has 2 healed cuts. The eyebrows are sharp lines that begin in a sickle shape to define the brow ridge typical of canines.
The ears have very light green internal hair with the right ear nibbled. The claws have the same color.
He has a green "mustache" and a well-defined mouth with large black corners dotted with scars, sharp teeth, with a yellow tongue and nose like the fingertips.
On his right shoulder and behind his left shoulder he has lumps, the skin is thick but they are slightly glowing in the dark. He has 2 large cuts on the right side which exposes most of the sternum revealing the internal organs and another cut on the left side of the abdomen near the thigh which reveals the intestines.
The tail has half of the fur missing, with the final part that shows only the last little bones of it.
History[]
Background[]
The character was born from the research for a new nickname in the late 2014, which culminated with the union of his favorite animal the wolf and a pun with the Latin version of the author's name (Marzio), "Marcio" which in Italian means "Rotten."
Initially created as a project for YouTube, mainly focused on shorts, where he would discuss today's society with monologues and questions with a touch of extreme cynicism, Lupo Marcio was supposed to be the visual representation of the society of the modern era.
The first designs are conceived between 2015 and 2016, after various versions drawn on paper, the 3D modeling begins around winter 2016. Shortly before finishing the model, he cames across a Humble Bundle "Streamer bundle", with a commercial license from Facerig. Interested in the concept of 3D avatars and the extremely affordable price, he read the documentation and finding it feasible, he decided to change destination platform and actually want to be the first in Italy to use the software correctly.
The slugginess of the production was mainly caused by inexperience mixed with unclear documentation, software with unpredictable behavior and intense study commitments that led him to take numerous breaks. With the model working and the full support of his friends TenagaComics and Noctuino, he is convinced to place a temporary texture and get ready to stream.
2017[]
On 17 September, he started streaming immediately with his appearance, admittedly in the beta phase.
2018[]
On 2 May, he creates a Dishonored-themed mask to bring it to all the livestreams of this game, which can be viewed here.
On 20 August his model comes out of the beta phase with the addition of normal maps and an improved "diffuse map", giving him some detail.
On 13 November thanks to the support of the community he is able to buy a leapmotion (now ultraleap) to move his paws, thus switching the avatar to version v1.1
- He was forced to stop for a week due to a serious flu, on 8th December he recorded a video for his YouTube channel to say that he was fine and what happened.
2020[]
On 25 August he was forced to close the public telegram chat group due to several problems caused by troublemaker users of all sorts, subjecting him to daily stress and sleepless nights. All this in favor of a private chat group that can be accessed if at least one sub has been made to the twitch channel, as a symbol of interest in the channel.
2021[]
On 20 September, he goes on a marathon for the first time for 8 hours of streaming to celebrate his 4 years on the platform, warmly supported by viewers and colleagues.
2022[]
On 4 May he stops using Facerig to switch to Animaze, the model receives an improvement with v1.2.
On 23 June he officially celebrates his first birthday live with an subathon, which thanks to the enormous support of his viewers has reached the duration of 12 round hours, and together with a group gift from the community he was able to buy a dedicated iPhone to improve tracking.
He declared that by early 2023 he will start streaming with a new avatar that he will produce during the month-long Christmas break.
2023[]
Lupo Marcio 1.2 with the Clown face
The initial date of the re-debut which was supposed to be January 16 unfortunately was not respected for mainly technical reasons.
He restarted streaming on January 23, with a clown face because in extreme disappointment at not being able to respect the deadline, declaring that he was very keen that his viewers know of his disappointment and that he will continue to do so until the new avatar will be released.
After being sure of being able to enter the golden phase with the model, he declares that on February 13th there will be the re-debut with his new avatar.

On 4 April he releases a free wallpaper for Wallpaper Engine. It has parallax, audio responsiveness and time, with customizable options. The artist is Tarkstuff on twitter.
On 24 July delivers a deep technical update with:
- pseudophysics applied on mandible tufts, ears and crest;
- improved body movements;
- improved expression tracking;
- paws come back on the floor instead of desk, with fluid moves;
- updated face deformations and new added;
- added new body moves;
- the new rig will ease the creation of new poses and 3D graphic features.
On 23 June (due to the birthday of the Spokesperson a few days earlier), he receives a surprise organized by the Community, with numerous fan art and multiple fundraising campaigns reached for streaming equipment, including 2 MIDI controllers, an Elgato Stream Deck XL, and an adjustable desk to work standing up for long work sessions.
- July 31st is forced to suspend normal broadcasts for two weeks due to a home renovation caused by a severe mold infestation that has damaged all the furniture in the room and an entire wall.
On 26 September, he starts his first 12-hour sub-stream, one of the longest ever. He celebrates 6 years of the channel with a fundraising for new components for his streaming PC. With 7 hours of initial broadcast, he continues until the evening of September 28th, thanks to the support of the audience. During the night, he can be seen sleeping in various positions and angles, with the possibility of interacting (and waking him up) using Bits.
2024[]
Earlier this year stated that was time to re-work his avatar since being a "quadruped" made him limited in expressing his moves. Said so he started studying on how to make one following VRChat standards.
For his birthday in June, his friends and viewers donated more of half of the founding to kickstart the change to a full motion avatar.

Starting the re-design in August, in September announced that after in the middle of October, he will resume streaming for full committing on develop the new avatar and make the redebut on November.
On 9 November, he re-debuted with a full motion avatar powered by SlimeVR and Vnyan, helped by his "art director" Pentotark, PieTheLemon for the making of the hardware part and AsterDaishi for deploying and software. He shifted from a semi-realistic shading to a cel-shaded one, with outlines and textures inspired by Borderlands and Telltale's The Walking Dead. He's still studying on how to make an effective shader to make him more "drawed".

In June, a new update rolls out with minor design changes on fur on the right shoulder and on the cheeks, and outline fixes. Technical upgrades are minor rig tweaks, removed graphical imperfection and expressive ears.

Death[]
Died violently falling from a cliff for reasons he can't remember, his spirit has never found peace and has never strayed far from the point where he lost his life, finding the cause of his demise unfair, wandering uninterrupted until at the call of necromancy.
Resurrection[]
He's brought back to life by a sorcerer who in view of danger, recalled (relatively) fresh corpses reuniting them with their souls to defend him and fight alongside him, many of these creatures perished, but he survived the battles that followed in the years, drawing strength from it.
Illumination[]
At the beginning of his resurrection he was completely at the command of his master, his every movement and action was guided by the anger of his troubled spirit, this motivated him and made him very effective in fights and very tenacious in pursuits that could last even several weeks. With the years and the experience gained, his spirit calms down, managing to channel this anger only in situations where that extra energy is actually needed. In quiet moments, he stood outside his master's crypt to guarding the area, occasionally his summoner notes him gazing at the moon, wandering into his thoughts however primitive they were. Since being sorcerers and necromancers means not having many friends, he decided to make Marcio his guardian, giving him the ability to learn and think like a human being. The sorcerer then engaged conversations that made him learn some basics of language. In "times of peace" this "Illumination" thus allowed the necromancer to go out on long research expeditions which could last weeks or even months, while Marcio was able to refine his knowledge with the manuscripts they possessed and refine his innate techniques which had never actually used with logic.
Appearance[]
During the battles he had to face together with the sorcerer, he had the opportunity to feed on his enemies and consequently absorb their abilities, from that situation his lumps grew. While this knowledge given by his master, imbued him with magic, from there also began the change in the fur which began with a purplish spot and a hint of a crest, which formed more and more with the increase in magical power.
Solitude[]
After several decades, the sorcerer who went out on another expedition never returned, Marcio could do nothing but wait because unfortunately the track was too degraded and he would never have been able to find traces without the necessary magical knowledge. This has led him to go out to make periodic patrols in search of some traces and to practice some spells that he has learned from the manuscripts. He wasn't able to do much, despite his human mental abilities, he was still an animal. He continued like this for many years.
Accretion[]
In the years of solitude, Marcio has had the opportunity to meet various creatures, normal or with magical properties. Some with these supernatural abilities weren't very friendly and it led to a necessary confrontation where many of the times, life was at stake. Between fortuitous retreats and planned hunts, he was able to bring down some of these creatures, absorbing the magical power that pervaded them, increasing his powers so much that he could be able to mentally connect to other creatures, shapeshift or temporarily separate the spirit from the body with abstraction.
Name[]
His true name was given to him at birth by his parents and yet another given to him by his summoner, both unpronounceable in normal world languages. However, he is known as "rotten wolf" described as festered, a name that he decided to adopt due to the fact that in various languages they described him as putrefied, rotten or decomposed when those very rare sightings occurred.
Familiar[]
Over the years, the crypt was dominated by nature, hiding the place by making it accessible from some hole in the ground, mistaken as a den. One day Cherie, having escaped from her leash during a picnic, slips into one of these dens, entering a crypt dimly lit by feeble candles. Sniffing around, in the grip of curiosity, she collides against a piece of furniture, now made dangerously wobbly by the bricks of the floor raised by the strong roots of a tree, dropping a book of spells and some obsidian objects: they went into a thousand pieces. Panicking, Cherie steps on a sharp sliver of obsidian and in the run towards the exit, her slightly bloodied paw touches a page with an incantation on it: she has made a blood sacrifice, invoking the closest magical creature in the area to become protector of the caster. Marcio felt a shiver down his spine and the acceptance of a commitment that not even he thought he would ever resume. Because of the new bond, he knew where he needed to go and to protect anyone who requested that help. The beginning of this new task cannot be said to have been the most peaceful, sooner or later the spokesman had to find out.
Body Mutation[]
The body has changed significantly over the years with the increase in its magical power. Initially it was a walking carcass, withered and graying skin, bloodshot eyes paralyzed in an angry expression. With the nourishment derived from other downed enemy creatures, he initially regained its weight and color, even growing slightly in size. With the arrival of lumps, they grew to be used as a diversion and/or defense measure. Initially they were bubbles of acid, which were meant to explode to create a toxic curtain used to scatter groups of enemies and kill low-strength beings. Together with the magical power, it can decide on the moment what they must be filled with, in some cases it serves to create an extremely dense cloud of smoke used as a diversion, in others they can act as an active defense, bursting with impact and in many cases disarming the opponent or to push him away a little. Upon Enlightenment, the body proceeds with a new mutation that will gradually cause its fur to change color, grow a crest, and another small increase in size. The crest is a decidedly unusual trait for a wolf, in fact it appears slightly different from the rest of the fur, more rigid, almost solid, it is an indicator of Marcio's magic state, if he is exhausted and needs rest, it will be less brilliant and less stiff, as if withered. The tail is able to move it even if there are actually no muscle tissues to allow it, it uses it specifically to use it as a whip, if the blow is successful it is able to cut the soft tissues of many creatures like butter. The intestine, having largely lost its initial purpose, being able to exit from the opening of the abdomen to its left, uses it as a resistant rope to trip medium-sized enemies and/or immobilize them. It may happen that it is cut, the more flesh is lost the more time it takes to be able to reuse it. He can shorten the healing time if he can find food nearby.
Spokesman[]
- He names the human helper as Spokesman because it is actually the voice of the accompanying human.
- Due to the mental connection between Marcio and the Spokesman, occasionally thought interference causes to say hands instead of paws.
- Because of this connection, however not perfect, the Spokesman receives small visions of Marcio's past.
Miscellaneous[]

- He produced his avatar from the sketch to the final product.
- The Spokesman does model and rig 3D avatars, specialized in Creatures.
- He never starts on time because when he does, a problem occurred and sometimes it was unsolvable.
- He feels uncomfortable when called with the Spokesman's name and would rather it not be done.
- He doesn't want anyone to touch his paws since the fact that they come into contact with someone non-magical, he could inadvertently imbue some of this power, only that creatures without magical affinities are unable to understand its value and this would lead to unpredictable results.
- It can actually feed on anything that can save his life, but generally these are creatures with at least a bland magical power, ritual meals made by witches and shamans, or food offerings at shrines.
