【自己紹介】改めまして、こんばんぱいあ!【特撮好きVTuber -ルルルチカ】

Luzyca's introduction.

Profile[]

A former corporate VTuber turned indie VTuber. I've been through a lot, but one way or another, I hope to have a long and enjoyable life.

An excessively hyped otaku vampire VTuber. I'm filled with curiosity and am easily "swamped" with obsession. A little too easily.

Tokusatsu = life. I dream of appearing in a tokusatsu production. I'm the first VTuber to do live group watches of Super Hero Time!?[6]

Personality[]

Luzyca is an otaku vampire VTuber with the personal motto "I want to spread everyone's "likes"! I want to be a catalyst for liking!" As of March 2023, her main channel focus is on group watch streams of tokusatsu media and anime, among other things. Luzyca is notable among Japanese VTubers for having her channel focus on real time reactions to TV shows and movies, often as they premiere in Japan.[7] She's also done other streams, ranging from Let's Plays of various visual novel and RPG titles like Arknights, Twisted Wonderland, and Persona 5, as well as Gunpla builds and ASMR.

Luzyca has been a tokusatsu fan for over twenty years, having been a fan of Super Sentai and Heisei Kamen Rider since 2000. She does various tokusatsu and anime watchalongs, with her specialty being the Super Hero Time live watchalongs where she comments on the newest episodes of Pretty Cure, Super Sentai, and Kamen Rider as they debut on Japanese television. She also does speculation streams on what might happen next during the ongoing Super Hero Time programming.

She does informational streams, like lecture videos for beginner tokusatsu fans and discussions with her fans about their favorite media.

When she gets really excited, she makes high pitched noises like a bat. She tends to go "ahh!" when excited and "bababababa" when surprised.

As a vampire, she's fine with sunlight and can eat a little bit of garlic. She likes blood, but these days prefers tomato juice and, especially more recently, people's love for their favorite things. The magic stone on her forehead hurts when pushed.

Luzyca had previously died due to being staked, but came back to life after a long sleep.[8] Her bat friends, Lolo and Lala, helped teach her about things that happened while she was asleep.[9] The stake hole can still be seen on her first outfit. Her backstory is covered in "lullaby~", a doujinshi made by her character designer, Miki Purasu.[10]

History[]

Background[]

2018[]

On 1 November, Luzyca showed off her second outfit, featuring outdoor clothes.[11]

2019[]

On 3 May, Luzyca had her first anniversary stream.[12]

On 21 July, she debuted her third outfit, featuring summer clothes.[13]

On 14 September, she gave the 2019 version of her tokusatsu beginners recommendation lecture, with a focus on Heisei era Kamen Rider and Super Sentai works..[14] She recommended Heisei Riders for fans of movies and dramas, anime and video games, and voice talent and actors. She advised against recommending Den-O and Amazons for beginners. For Den-O, it was because of it being an older work, seeming lighthearted but actually being more heavy storywise, complicated time elements (like Kiva and Zi-O), and that many like that work but don't get into Kamen Rider because of it. For Amazons, the heavier storyline played a part, but also that as a series for adults, it would put an "Amazons Filter" on newbies' perception of the rest of Kamen Rider and tokusatsu, which is aimed towards children. It was seen as worth watching, but to wait until you've seen other Kamen Rider seasons first. She recommended Timeranger and ToQGer as series similar to Kamen Rider Den-O that are more accessible for beginners. Her Heisei Rider recommendations were Agito (as the best of Heisei Phase 1, with 98 points on the recommendation scale) and W (A Heisei Phase 2 work, as the best beginner's recommendation with 10,000,000 points on the recommendation scale).

On 25 September, she had a stream for her birthday the following day. During the stream, she debuted her fourth outfit, featuring autumn clothes.[15]

The recommended watch order for 2021 was OOO, then Den-O, then Ryuki. She also gave more specific recommendations based on viewer tastes (like Den-O and Ex-Aid for anime fans), special circumstances (Ryuki for its 20th anniversary in 2022 and Ghost for its crossover special with Saber), and fan experience levels (Ryuki and Zi-O, recommended as "I want you to watch this at the right time" for beginners)[47][48]

On 26 September, she had her fourth birthday stream. During her birthday stream, she introduced a new stream intro video, which she edited herself, a new handdrawn logo, and new stand-by & stream end screens featuring her own chibi art. She also revealed the results of a fan vote for the top five favorite Luzyca videos so far. The top five favorite videos were a collab stream talking about favorite secondary Kamen Riders, the 2019 edition of her tokusatsu lecture video, her "if you get too hyped, the stream ends" video about Zi-O's addition to the Kamen Rider official web guide, an April Fool's ad parody, and a talk stream about non-existent fictional works. Luzyca LINE stamps are being made and she hinted at a future collab. She was uncertain about recommending Gokaiger (a 40th anniversary season with a lot of history covered), Go-Busters (seen as challenging by Sentai standards), and Donbrothers (written by infamous tokusatsu writer Toshiki Inoue) to beginners, but stated that it's best to check out the season you're most interested in first.[79]

It was announced that on 8 May, she would be involved in V's Playground: Fans Gathering! Let's Talk About Our Love For Riders! Volume 2, a collaboration talk event on Nico Nico Douga with fellow Kamen Rider loving VTubers Minase Shia, Suzuna Subaru, and Akatsuki Kinoko.[80][81]
