Lyka Lynx, or Lyka, is a Russian-English VTuber who redebuted on 20 August 2021.

Personality[]
Her personality is warm, kind, and serious. She takes pride in her Slavic roots, often relating to the Bajun Cat and other mythical elements from Russian Folklore.
Appearance[]
Going against her claim of being a Bajun Cat, she's taken the appearance of a Lynx, living in a snowy northern forest. She has two Lynx cat ears and a tail upon a catgirl body. She wears long, gray-to-white fluffy hair with two braids, blue eyes, and a traditional dress. She's earned a reputation for wearing spats along with her iconic sporty tracksuit.
Mascot and Fans[]
- Her fans are known as Snacks. When hungry or provoked, her eyes turn yellow in feral rage as she hunts her audience, searching for her next prey (hence, "snacks").
- The channel mascot is known as "The Curse" or "Cursed Lyka".[1] The Curse is a very frequently recurring, humorous meme, from when her friend and community member Lazer attempted, in futility, to draw fanart of her character. The result was a creature so amusing, in spite of how horrifying it was, that she decided to "keep it around" as a sort of pet. It quickly infested most memes being made in her community, refusing to "die", as if it were a curse.

Trivia[]
- Her pet cat, Nox, is frequently referenced in her streams and on her socials. She often speaks of him, draws him, and posts photos of him. He exists in several memes. He is a typical black cat.[2]
- A joke character called "The Clown" is known to make occasional guest appearances during some of Lyka's celebration streams, such as her birthday streams in 2021[3] and 2022. During these appearances, the clown typically tells bad jokes from their so-called "book of jokes" until they are kicked out.
- Lyka is inspired by the Bajun Cat (Кот Баю́н, "storyteller cat"), a huge man-eating cat with an enchanting voice. Bajun lulls unlucky travellers with his tales and singing before murdering them, but can be caught. How Bajun is caught varies in the stories, but the hero must have the willpower to resist his storytelling, and must wear e.g. iron gloves and an iron hat. If Bajun is defeated, he becomes loyal to the hero, and he can heal ailments with his magical tales.
- Lyka's looks resemble a Lynx coat wise, hence the name Lyka Lynx which reads "Like-a-Lynx".
- Lyka originally debuted on 14 February 2021 as Miwa Toriyama, and was known as such until her redebut on 20 August 2021. As Miwa Toriyama was partially a reference to chickens (Niwatori 鶏, "chicken"), a recurring joke among Lyka's fanbase is that she ate Miwa.
