M4GI (Music For Gifted Idols) is a virtual youtuber singing group affiliated with the GxG Vtuber Project consisting of 9 singers. These 9 idols are affiliated with the GxG Vtuber Project as the "Singing Division" primarily focusing on multiple genres of music. This group incorporates glitchy / vocaloid effects inspired by the iconic singer, Hatsune Miku, while using real and authentic voices rather than vocaloid synthesizing. The group was founded by Umi Miho, and had its branding, album covers, and the music created/mixed by Stryker and the Goons alongside the various artists that are currently behind the production of the ongoing GxG Manga Series. The members of M4Gi consist of Umi Miho, Stryker & The Goons, Lakota Murakami, Gabbi Fae Ragna, Mayday Mamoe, Archie The Robot, Mio-Ona, Heidi Nachtnebel, and Lala Takahashi (As of 2024).
Background[]
Stryker & Umi had teased the debut of something "big" since the debut of Umi's first cover album (Big Blue Ensemble) earlier in 2023. About 3 weeks before the following Halloween, they announced publicly that M4Gi was coming. And so, on October 31st that same year, Umi and Stryker simultaneously uploaded all 13 songs in separate parts on both their respective channels, they named this newest album "Bizarre Azure Orchestra" and simultaneously debuted with 3 other singers; Lakota Murakami, Gabbi Fae Ragna, & Mayday Mamoe.
Album Covers[]
Out of all the covers made to debut the album, all 5 feature poses referencing the popular anime series "Jojo's Bizarre Adventure". Each cover later appeared as merchandise celebrating the team's debut being a success. The art style is a unique reference to the in the anime "JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 4: Diamond wa Kudakenai" (otherwise known as Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable). This style uses the same vivid colors, reflective shadows, and featureless faces that appear in the anime's first animated opening "Crazy Noise Bizarre Town".

Trivia[]

- Mayday's filter uses twice the interference to apply a "cavelike" effect to her vocals, due to her being a Mammoth.
- Out of all the songs on the album, it was stated that the easiest song to create "What I'm Made Of" (due to its gravely tone commonly seen in early 2000s rock songs), while the hardest (Taking an estimated 156 takes) was "Kick Back", This is due to Stryker's inability to speak fluent Japanese.
- The first original song created by M4Gi was a dubstep mix called "M4Gi M4Gi Go!". This song was produced by Crosseyed (aka Neef Noof) who made the entire song from scratch.
