Maaru Witch, better known as simply Maaru (マール), was an independent female Japanese VTuber.

Background[]
Maaru started her career around late August 2018, with a YouTube channel creation date of 23 August 2018. Her first stream took place on 1 September.
2018[]
Maaru saw a rise in popularity after being featured on Eilene's video (in now Yomemi's channel) published in 9 November, where Eilene donated ¥50,000 JPY to VTubers who had less than 1,000 subscribers.[1]
2021[]
Retirement[]
On 29 July, Maaru announced on Twitter that she would end her activities, with her final stream being programmed in 26 August, coinciding with her 3rd anniversary.

- She has some knowledge in gambling, and once compared superchatting to spending money on gacha games.[2]
