Magni Dezmond (マグニ・デズモンド) was a male English Virtual YouTuber endorsed by hololive's branch HOLOSTARS English. He is one of the four founding members of "TEMPUS" debuting in July 2022 alongside Regis Altare, Axel Syrios and Noir Vesper.

Adventurer’s Guild TEMPUS’s publicist. He proclaims himself to be an alchemist, but nobody has ever seen him in action. Muddling the waters even further are his business ventures which take him all around Elysium. Nobody knows what his actual profession is.What does his “alchemy” even consist of … making potions? The type of person who stares right into the abyss. Rumors say he will do anything it takes to uncover the truth behind the world, and that he’s hiding a dark side to him. “Alchemists have the wonderful ability to grant people’s wishes!”
Personality[]
Magni is a bombastic man, proudly exposing in broad daylight knowledge and wisdom. He often acts to turn everyone on his side into following his plans. Even if he always starts behaving like everything will work according to his expectations, if things don't do so, Magni tends to panic and reveal his real lack of confidence. He actually is a bit clumsy. Magni tries his best drawing his viewers in hilarious mood by making happening events look more spectacular or special than they really are.

He has medium length light hair and some purple hair streak marking with golden orange eyes. He has purple piercings.

Background[]
The existence of HOLOSTARS English -TEMPUS- was first teased by hololive's Japanese Twitter account on 14 July 2022, with the launch of the TEMPUS website.[1]
On 16 July, Omegaα returned to their Twitter account after months of inactivity posting a two pages manga related to TEMPUS lore.[2]
On 17 July 2022, hololive English Twitter account revealed various details regarding TEMPUS including their social media accounts and debut dates.[3] Dezmond made his first tweet on this date and a small teaser video was uploaded on his YouTube channel. His YouTube channel was created on 13 June 2022.[4][5]
On 22 July 2022, Dezmond debuted on YouTube.[6]
2022[]
On 24 July, after the debut of all TEMPUS members, a video was posted on the HOLOSTARS English main channel announcing the first original song for them, making them the first hololive Production branch and unit to receive an original song after their debut.[7]
On 25 July, Dezmond reached 100,000 subscribers on his YouTube channel.[8]
On 6 August, Dezmond's channel was open for monetization.[9]
On 11 September, all TEMPUS members' channels have opened their membership feature.
2023[]
On 5 April, his YouTube channel hit 200,000 subscribers.
On 11 June, his Live2D model received an update to version 1.5, which included refined adjustments to his original model's facial and body proportions.
On 10 July, hololive English's Twitter account announced that the streaming activities of Magni Dezmond and Noir Vesper would be stopped for a time.[10]
Retirement[]
On 24 August, hololive English's Twitter account announced that Magni Dezmond and Noir Vesper would graduate on 31 August, with no further activities performed such as a graduation stream. According to the statement this is in accordance to their wishes.[11]

- On 29 July 2022, Crunchyroll Expo announced that Dezmond would be appearing at their 2022 convention as a featured guest for hololive Meet[12] but only for the holoMeet Experience Zone instead of panels and the meet-and-greet.[13]
- On 1 March 2023, Anime Boston's Twitter account announced that Dezmond and other members would appear at their event which would be held from 7 to 9 April.[14]

Name[]
- In Latin, Magni means "great" or "large," as in the English word "magnificent." Magni is also a male given name, and appears in Norse mythology as one of the sons of Thor who will survive Ragnarok.
- Dezmond is a rare spelling of Desmond, a name of Irish origin which originally referred to a place name.
- According to Regis Altare, three of the four original members of Tempus were named for the stars of the Summer Triangle. Dezmond was named for Deneb, a first-magnitude star in the constellation Cygnus.[16]

- Dezmond likes drawing, gyudon, and collecting trading cards.
- His favorite anime are: Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter, Code Geass, Witchcraft Works, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Nichijou, and Evangelion.
- His favorite games are: Viva Piñata, Yakuza 0, Slime Rancher, Don't Starve Together, APEX, and simulators in general.
- His goals are: improving his singing (including someday releasing an original song), improving his Japanese, and doing his best to build foundations for HOLOSTARS to grow.
- He dislikes mushrooms and the use of "Hey" in messages to open a conversation, stating that people should say what they want from the beginning of the conversation.[17]
Miscellaneous[]
- His live tag, #ItsMagginTime, is inspired from the It's Morbin Time meme subsequently adopted and mutated by the community prior to his debut.
- Dezmond has globophobia, the fear of balloons, but his fear also extends to other hollow or air-filled objects such as drums and tires.[18] During his stream of "Big Brain Academy," he refused to complete the "Balloon Burst" minigame because the resounding sounds of the balloons stressed him out.[19]
- Dezmond is the first HOLOSTARS talent to join the official HOLOSTARS subreddit as a moderator.
