Melnyanie is an independent English-speaking Virtual YouTuber who streams on Twitch.

Profile[]

A ghost of someone who was murdered by a close friend, brought back to the human realm to be able to fulfil her dreams of making people smile.

Personality[]

Melanie is outgoing, passionate, and somewhat insane according to chat. As well as being a VTuber herself, she is also a HARDCORE Vtuber fan, cosplayer, and convention attendee. Her streams are often filled with chatter about her oshis, and they regularly make appearances as pinned assets to her model. Once she gets started she WILL NOT STOP, truly a yapper. Despite her appearances and bold personality on stream, she is also known to be rather anxious when socializing, and hard on herself in regards to the quality of her content.

While the majority of her streams are usually gameplay focused, she has a passion for music, and chatting streams. She has a bad habit of speaking impulsively and accidentally saying something embarrassing, which often leads to a very loud reaction.

She hopes to someday inspire lots of people, and see her oshi mark in lots of names all over!! She is a trained vocalist, and while very unsure of herself, she wants to pursue music and produce covers in the future.

She is considered a Tsundere by a lot of people, but she does not consider herself one.

Her fans and subscriber name is set to Nyantoms However, this is often ignored and her community prefers to call themselves Hayden, an inside joke that started during a Kahoot! Stream where everyone stole the name of a regular chatter.

Her community collectively bullies the streamer, the exceptions are on the community Minecraft server where she receives special treatment, and during Karaoke.

Subscribers are separately referred to as Nyanshees, as she doesn't want people to feel like they have to spend money to be considered a fan.

History[]

2021[]

On 19 December, She debuted as a Vtuber for the first time on Twitch. Using a Vroid model she made herself.

2022[]

In January, she hit Twitch Affiliate.

In April, she switched to using a PNGTuber style model, until her Live2D was complete.

In June, she revealed her Live2D model, and during her birthday stream on the 27th revealed her next Live2D model design.

In July, Melnyanie revealed her next model.

In September, she announced that she would have to graduate and rebrand entirely due to her struggling with parasocial viewers, and a stalker.

On 23 September, The graduation was held.

In October, she began streaming as Melnyanie, after removing many community members.

On 19 December, it marked her 1 year Twitch anniversary, however she was unable to attend her own stream due to being in the hospital after fainting and hitting her head.

2023[]

On 27 February, she revealed her brand new live2d model created by vveeerus and lumos1ty

On 27 June, she celebrated her birthday on stream by playing games with her friends.

In October, she decided to take streaming more seriously and decided to maintain a schedule of 3-4 streams a week, to do this she dropped Theatre to give herself more time to stream.

On 18 December, she celebrated her 2nd Twitch Anniversary with a 12 hour endurance stream started at 12pm and ending at 12am on the 19th.

On 20 December, she entered a 2 week hiatus due to finals. She returned on the 7th of January 2024.

2024[]

On 3 May, she debuted her second model, created by PrinceAerin, which takes the form of a stick figure and released her first "cover" a shitpost version of Usseewa titled "Ussenya".

On 30 May, she announced an indefinite hiatus to pursue creative endeavors.

On 17 June, she announced the cancellation of her hiatus, and promised to return to her indie streaming activities, with a lot of stories to tell from her time away.

On 21 June, she held her return stream and announced her affiliation with Hex Virtual.

On 27 June, she held her birthday stream, featuring several HexV members!

On 3 July, she hit 800 followers on Twitch.

  • Melanie is a Ghost VTuber.
  • She is not actually a catgirl, but she prefers to call herself a catgirl instead of her true form because it's cuter.
  • Her hairclip which reads "seal" was given to her by an exorcist to help her maintain a weaker form, if the clip is removed she becomes a different kind of spiritual being, yet to be revealed. It is also a reference to one of her favorite anime, Toilet Bound Hanako Kun.

Likes and hobbies[]

  • Some of her oshis are in Nijisanji, and she regularly tweets on her public account about oshi related events, and she will often rearrange her stream schedule for the sake of making it to oshi streams she is interested in.
  • She is very passionate about learning Japanese for the sake of singing her favorite songs, but she often forgets to do her daily Duolingo lesson.
  • She reads, writes, and watches a lot of BL, she also enjoys GL but just happens to consume less of it.
  • She has an interest in voice acting, and in vague terms, will regularly update her community on her progress of pursuing it as a career.
  • She LOVES Musical Theatre. She has also been stage acting since she was a kid, and regularly refers to herself as a Theatre kid, most of her karaoke setlists are songs from musicals.

  • Scammer: She often forgets to open the software which handles her channel point redeems, this has lead to her being referred to as a scammer by her chat. She also scammed people on Animal Jam when she was in middle school which adds additional context to the title.
  • Hayden: During a Kahoot! stream all members of chat who were playing set their display names as one regulars name. This led to a joke where EVERYONE is secretly Hayden, including every animal in the community Minecraft server.
  • Dog: Being a wolf Vtuber in her past life, there is some carry over, some older audience members will bring this up occasionally to make her mad.
  • Mcrib: Her older brother often makes appearances on her streams, using the alias Mcrib. he is widely more liked than Melanie and is considered the favorite sibling. He is a musician and plans to help her produce covers in the future.
  • Playing dolls: She will often pin static pngs of her oshis to her model, and talk for them to simulate a collab with her faves. She refers to this as playing dolls with her oshis, and her community refers to this as concerning behavior.
  • Submissive (part 2): She once misspoke when trying to say "Submissions," and accidentally said "Submissive." Moments of her misspeaking are sometimes referred to as Submissive (insert part number here.) One of her most watched clips of all time is her saying "Piss," instead of "Pick." Which is also titled "Submissive part 2."
  • 12 year old boy: Due to her voice, she is sometimes jokingly referred to by herself and chat as a 12 year old boy, or a 30 year old man using a voice changer to sound like a 12 year old boy.
  • Qwerty: She has a pet cockatiel named Qwerty who used to live in her room, which made the background audio of stream VERY LOUD. After he was moved into another room, he can still be heard occasionally, and usually the audience will greet him when he makes an appearance.

  • She is insecure about her speaking voice, and originally used to speak higher for the sake of sounding cuter, which while honest about at the time, she gradually stopped because she felt like she was lying.
  • According to her vocal teacher she has a unique vocal range that doesn't fit into many boxes, so she will regularly sing songs in the male octave because it is more comfortable. While her vocal range is wide, she is very self conscious of her higher register and has trouble using her head voice without getting embarrassed.

  • She decided not to do a debut for Melanie, because it was putting pressure on her, and preventing her from streaming entirely. She plans to do a debut if she ever gets a second outfit for her model.
