Personality[]
Merry has a very relaxed vibe the majority of the time, but when he gets excited he barks like the dog boy he is. He usually hardly swears and requests those on his chat refrain from doing so as well, though recently he has been known to drop a few curses when in an excited/chaotic mood.
He is easily scared by horror games such as the Chilla's Arts series, but otherwise has a very relaxing aura even in collabs (except in Yu-Gi-Oh collabs). This vibe has sometimes been known to descend into chaos on a few occasions; for instance, during games of Frostpunk where he pretends to be a "maniacal dictator of Wooftopia", or during his Yu-Gi-Oh streams where he frequently acts like a villain.
Appearance[]
Merry takes on a dog boy appearance, sporting blue-black hair (even though he insists it is black) in a shaggy cut, with a single red streak and short pointy ears. Despite explaining that he is a mix between a Danish Spitz and a Turkish Kangal, which explains the appearance of his ears, they still often get mistaken for cat ears.
As of April 2023, Merry's main look is a princely royal outfit drawn by Yuniiho, and rigged by 2wintails. His outfit consists of multiple layers of garments (shirt/waistcoat/overcoat/cape), a pen sword, a small crown, and a huggable inkdog/inkdog plushie that can be toggled.
Merry also has a dog form created for him as a gift by Yuniiho in 2021, and an "ugly bastard" (aka Uncle Merry) form created by Carillus which first debuted in April 2021.
Merry's debut model was drawn by Kirero and released in October 2020. His outfit at the time consisted of a brown pinstripe three-piece suit with a red tie. On November 19, 2020 he debuted a new navy/black military outfit also by Kirero, which he uses for certain games.
In May 2021, he gained another outfit for the Kirero model: a black three-piece suit with an overcoat and top hat. It also includes a Cthulhu plushie, a walking stick, and a pop-up book that has Eldritch tentacles popping out of it.
In December 2021, he debuted a maid uniform designed by Kirero, with an axe, tea set, and a Yu-Gi-Oh duel disk. This model would come with updated rigging by 2wintails. This would mark the final Kirero model, though Merry would still use it from time to time.
During March 2022, Merry revealed a markedly younger-looking model designed by Emu (emulapis/emucchi) and rigged by 2wintails, rectroactively referred to as "Femboy Merry" (or "Young Master Merry" on the official Lucius Merryweather Trading Cards). While this version also has a brown vest, it also comes with shorts and a markedly lighter blue hue to his hair.
During July 2022, Merry debuted a different model, commonly known as 'IkeMerry' amongst the Dog Army. This form had much more masculine presenting appearance compared to his previous forms, with an overall more edgy feel as designed by DyaRikku. His outfit consisted of a skintight black shirt which accentuated his muscles, neat white trousers with a black belt, a pen hanging from the belt with a short golden chain and mid/high calf black boots.
In October 2022, Merry debuted a "Royal" update to the Femboy Merry model, drawn by Emu with rigging by Ransom.
Between October 2022 and April 2023, Merry would feature a variety of costume changes on on the Femboy Merry model, drawn and rigged by Drakont. These included a Panda outfit, a Jiangshi (Chinese Vampire) outfit, a Cyberpunk outfit, and a (cursed) Christmas outfit among others.
In April 2023, as a send-off for the Femboy Merry model, Merry debuted a "God Merry" costume drawn and rigged by DrakontKnight. This model included a variety of "cursed" features, including an "over-'roided" muscular appearance, a Super Saiyan mode, and multiple meme toggles that would go on to crash the "farewell" stream it was featured on.
In November 2024 Merry introduced a whole new rebrand to his model and lore! Bidding farewell to Royal Prince Merry and welcoming a new wizard persona! Keeping his gold-red-blue theme he is decorated with gold jewellery and brought back the iconic monocle from 2021 but with a more fitting style. He wields a massive staff which contains his power. This model was illustrated by his own studio Merryweather Media and rigged by Merryweather Media's rigger Drakont.
