Personality[]

Mia is a kind and shy girl loved by all idol Corp members. Mia exudes cuteness, but also is particularly good at roasting and threatening. She uses these social skills to make pressure and get what she wants. In fact, many in idol fear her naturally, notably because of her skills when it comes to fight in game.

She affords to flirt with vtubers outside idol, but doesn't tolerate when she surprises her lovers flirting with someone else and tends to become threatening. She notably forced Juna Unagi to break up with Kai Saikota, 24 hours after Juna declared her (unilateral) contract with Kai, just by talking in her YouTube chat.[1]

She was revealed being clever during a game at OffKai Expo. She was capable to find every lie about her genmates and Riro, until Kai showed her options where the answer was one of the least obvious.[2]

Mia has long pink hair with some green bangs. She has cat attributes such as ears and a long thin tail. Her eyes are blue. She wears a light outfit including: a cat collar with a bell, a white jacket, a black and pink top exposing a cleavage and putting in value her large chest, a black skirt, and many green belts.

Background[]

On 14 June 2023, Momo debuted as part of idol-EN second generation "Endless". During this stream, her YouTube channel reached 10,000 subscribers.

2023[]

On 20 June, Momo celebrated the monetization of her channel.[3]

On 11 July, she celebrated her membership opening.[4]

On 31 July, her channel reached 20,000 subscribers.

On 6 October, Momo started a 72 hours donothon. On 8 October, during this event, her channel hit 30,000 subscribers.

2024[]

On 10 March, Momo returned from a hiatus she took in December 2023 because she had to undergo surgery.[5]

On 17 March, her channel reached 40,000 subscribers.

On 19 April, after a collab with Endless on Stardew Valley, she stopped streaming on her channel, and it would turn out to be Momo Otako's last stream. She appeared afterward only on other VTubers' stream eventually, including on 14 June for Endless' 1st anniversary party.[6] Later, it was also said by her genmates she was together with them during their trip at OffKai around June.

Rebranding[]

On 10 August 2024, idol, after their acquisition by Brave Group, released a letter from Momo herself. Now that problems with her ex-management have been cleared, she can return from her extended and unplanned hiatus, but she would rebrand.[7] Her Twitter account and YouTube channel were shortly afterward renamed into "redactedIDOL", and her content privated. The entirety of her Twitter got hidden and her profile picture erased.

By the following, waiting to get "released from the basement", she became relatively active as "redacted" on Twitter. She also did few appearances in various VTuber chats on YouTube. She notably appeared in Fuyo Cloverfield's call-ins before her graduation.

On 7 December, as idol decided to abolish the different branches, this decision implied redacted would be no more labelled under "idol-EN", but simply "idol".

2025[]

On 7 February 2025, she released a trailer and renamed all her accounts for her redebut, as Mia Melonya.[8]

On 14 February, day of her debut as Mia Melonya, and day that was since many months designated as her birthday on her Twitter account, she confirmed that she also celebrates her birthday.[9] Later in the day, Mia did her debut stream on YouTube. Then, she did a debut part 2 on Twitch minutes later. On this day, her YouTube channel reached 50,000 subscribers.

On 15 March, Mia hosted a $10k League of Legends Tournament for charity. The event raised money for 5 different charities, one for each of the 5 competing teams. The tournament featured 25 vtubers from HOLOSTARS, Phase-Connect idol, Mythos and several indies. It also had guest commentary from Vienna and Barento "Raz" Mohammed.
