Appearance[]

In all her various models, Minerva's resting-state is easily identifiable by her long blackcurrant hair, single branching golden horn, elf-like ears with golden hoop earrings, upside-down prune-coloured floating crown, t-shaped facepaint on her nose bridge with freckles, mole on the right of her mouth below her lower lip, and tanned complexion.

Background[]

She began streaming on Twitch without a mic on 19 May 2021, initially streaming the creation of her VTuber model using VRoid Studio.

On 20 May she debuted initially as a mute streamer, using VSeeFace for face tracking. She streamed Apex Legends to an audience of one live viewer.[2]

2021[]

From mid-May until to early October, her YouTube channel served mainly as a clips and VODs repository, with little to no edits or thumbnails.

In August, she debuted her voice.

On 29 August, she released the Throneless v1.0 (Prototype) music video.[3] Her original composition features instrumentals redone by Jeremy Philpianist, and an anonymous vocalist.

She faced various trials and tribulations during the VTuber boom of 2021, which saw the rise of many popular VTubers and a lot of competition in the space. She went on to "semi-quit" Twitch due to impostor syndrome and a "crowded market," isolating herself by focusing rewriting her novel's manuscript.[4]

2022[]

On 31 March she posted a graduation April Fools video, featuring THRONELESS v2.5 Orchestral Version.[5]

On 19 May, she released the Throneless III music video, celebrating her one-year anniversary.[6] She also held an "RTX Model v2.0" stream, cosplaying[7]

In July and August, as subathon donation rewards, she posted a series of IRL vlogs: River Wonders, Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo, and SEA Aquarium.

In September, she moved from Twitch to YouTube as her primary streaming platform.

2023[]

On 20 May, four days after her second debut anniversary, she reached 1,000 YouTube subscribers.[8]

On 21 May, she was unexpectedly accepted into YouTube Partner Program.[9] Over 2 years leading up to her partnership with YouTube she would face many challenges as a small content creator, giving up many times, but then returning stubbornly despite the difficult odds and loneliness.

On 30 July she posted an IRL video, Honkai Impact 3 - Forest Capriccio Concert at Razer SEA HQ.

On 3 October she posted another IRL video, Genshin Concert 2023 - "Melodies of an Endless Journey".

2024[]

On 27 August she posted another IRL special, Hoyoverse Global HQ, becoming the first VTuber to visit Hoyoverse HQ.

By 22 September, she reached over 3,000 YouTube subscribers and 3 million views on YouTube.[10]

  • Minerva's lore has been summarized in song via "Throneless III" and her now-defunct 2021 Stream Intro.
  • Her VTuber lore is also an extension and prequel of her work-in-progress novel "The Masked Parapriestess."
  • Her current concept art features four characters: "VEE" (Veralisa Sindile), "DON" (Belladonna Thanatos), "EVA" (Evangeline Alexandra), and "RYS" (Chrysah Mei Baihua).[11][12]

  • Minerva uses a 3D VRoid model tracked by VSeeFace, developed by Emiliana and Co.
  • Her base model is a heavily modified free for commercial-use model.[13] All costumes were purchased with commercial use licensing on Booth.pm.
  • She has two "High Fidelity" pre-VTuber prototypes dating to late 2020, named ROOT Minerva and STRIKE Minerva.
    • Her main models include:
    • Her original VRoid 3D model DEBUT Minerva is based on pre-debut ROOT Minerva.
    • ROOT Minerva II is a 100% upgrade of her "black" administrative attire from debut.
    • STRIKE Minerva II is a "combat form" based on STRIKE Minerva 1.0, which matches the FPS and military shooters that she streams. It features Gear by YUHEI on Booth.pm.
  • She has used "RTX models" (cosplays of her own VTuber character), inspired by Lumi's "RTX model". They appear on special occasions:
    • GOTHIC Strike Minerva v1.0, used in the 32 Hour subathon.
    • GOTHIC Strike Minerva v2.0, used in the April Fool's subathon.
    • GOTHIC Strike Minerva v3.0, used in the 1st anniversary subathon, YouTube partner acceptance speech, and fake YouTube play button unboxing.[7][14][15]
  • There is also Strike Minerva "ZERO" by CY / Milkydromeda, featured in the Thronelesss III anniversary MV, Minerva's prequel movie and vintage Combat Form. It is an homage to Ace Combat Zero, "the war before the war, the legend before the legend".[6]
  • Due to financial constraints, she has yet to migrated to a Live2D model. She argues that VRoid is most economical for a VTuber of her weight class, and more versatile when it comes to changing clothings, hairstyles and accessories for the price and turnaround time.
